Keeping Secrets
07:56, 7 June 2014Raven released Robin's hand as they entered the common room. All eyes were on her. She always hated being the center of attention. Robin walked towards the team and motioned for Raven to come. Beast Boy was the first to speak. "So, Rae, what's up?" He stayed a safe distance away from her. Raven looked at him, no emotion on her face. "Don't call me Rae, and I'm fine." She stood next to Robin, and he smiled. Starfire noticed apparently, for she had begun the questions. "We are going out for the pizza, are we not?" She smiled, hands together. Robin nodded and they fit themselves into the T-car. Robin was in the back next to Beast Boy and Raven. Cyborg and Starfire inhabited the front seats. While no one was looking, Robin held Raven's hand. She kept her blush to a minimum. As they arrived at the pizza parlor, he whispered in her ear,"Meet me by the bathroom." She nodded slightly, put her hood up, and exited the car. When everyone was seated at the table, Robin excused himself. Soon after, Raven did also. "Ill be back in a few minutes." They had both said. She found him waiting outside the restrooms, pacing. She walked up slowly, as not to alarm him. He looked up, faced her, and began talking. "How are we gonna keep this a secret?" He started pacing again. "Well, we just have to not display public affection." She stated calmly. He sighed. "They're gonna find out sooner or later." Robin wanted things to be perfect. But nobody's perfect. Raven pulled him out of his daze and back to the table. Cyborg stated at him quizzically. Robin realized his hand was still in Raven's, and quickly pulled it away. Starfire stared, wide eyed, and Beast Boy was sleeping. They sat in silence as they ate the pizza, and Raven left early to meditate. Raven glided into her room, and sat on the bed. She saw something move in the shadows, and jumped. Robin came out , hands up. "It's just me." She sighed, relieved it wasn't Slade. "So, can I hang out in here for a little bit?" He walked over and sat on her bed. She removed her hood and scooted closer to him. "Love is a powerful thing." He nodded. "I guess it is." Robin kissed her lightly, her chin in his hand. This kiss was sweet and long, leaving Raven in a world of peace. Robin's world was absolutely calm each time his lips were on hers. They were so dazed, neither one of them heard the door open. What they did hear were the yells that followed.
