Slow Down Slade
16:24, 12 June 2014From Robin's P.O.V
I stopped at the red light, letting the fear sink in deeper. Raven could be seriously hurt, or even worse, dead. I tried not to think about it, but my mind kept bringing it back. I have always thought of Raven as a friend, but now, she seems like something so much closer. Everyone thinks me and Starfire are meant to be, but its not true. Raven and I are compatible in every way possible. Her mysterious dark energy, seriousness, sarcasm, it all fits into me. The light turned green and I rushed past it. Something hit me right then and there. I could track Raven from her costume! I pulled out my communicator and typed in her name, again. But this time, instead of call, I pressed track. It took a few minutes, but the image of her whereabouts finally showed up. The sewers. I should've known. It's the perfect place for a rat like Slade to hang out in. My motorcycle turned in the direction of Raven's captor. I soon came above a manhole that would lead me straight to her. Parking my ride on the street, I ran into the opening A thought hit me. Why hasn't she used her powers? I came to the conclusion that Slade had probably used something to keep her powers from working. As soon as I hit the ground I was greeted by a kick to the stomach. "Slade." My voice had never been so cruel. "Hello Robin." Slades tone was calm and collected. "Let Raven go Slade. We both know you want me instead." I pulled out my bo-staff and he pulled out a remote. "If I were you, boy wonder, I wouldn't move. One step and you'll be the blame of poor Raven's death." Slade laughed and I gritted my teeth. I recognized the remote. It was one that could electrocute things. I tried to reach Raven through our bond again, but it was no use. "Where is she?" I asked, keeping the icy tone. "Now, if I told you that, I wouldn't be able to have any fun, would I?" He looked at me, red eye aglow. I was going to try to buy Raven some time to get free. Raven, if you can hear me, try to get out. I'm with Slade right now, giving you as much time as possible to find a way. I, I love you. That last part made a blush creep onto my cheeks. Thank god for the darkness, or else Slade would have noticed. "At least tell me if she's alive." My body grew tense, dreading his answer. "Raven is quite alive, merely hurt." I swear I could hear pleasure in his voice. I continued the conversation, hoping, with all my heart, Raven got my message, especially that last part.
