Chapter 3 : King Dedede - Getting Ready for the Adventure

King Dedede just finished his dinner when Meta Knight came running in. He was with Bandana Dee.

'What is it, Meta Knight?' Dedede asked lazily.

'I found out where Kirby is, King,' Meta Knight replied. 'May I talk with you and Bandana Dee privately for a while?'

Dedede actually wanted to sleep, but he wanted to know about where Kirby was. He accepted and walked into his bedroom with the other two, and Dedede locked the door.

'So,' Dedede started. 'Where is he?'

'Kabu said he crash-landed onto an unknown planet. He said we can find Kirby's spaceship by my star warrior spaceship,' Meta Knight said. 'And... I want you two to come with me to find Kirby.'

Surprised, Bandana Dee and Dedede looked at each other.

'But... Sir?' Bandana Dee looked uncertain. 'What about Sword and Blade?'

'I do trust them, but you see...' Meta Knight looked a little awkward. 'I thought... I'd like to go to some adventures with someone else,'

Dedede felt awkward himself. But he has been with Bandana Dee and Meta Knight for an adventure before, so he guessed Meta Knight trusted them.

'Yeah, maybe you're right,' Dedede nodded, surprising both the knight and the Waddle Dee. We've gone on an adventure together before.'

B.W. Dee nodded in agreement. Meta Knight's eyes turned blue in happiness and he shot us a look that said Thank you.

'King Dedede, can you tell your Waddle Dees to build a spaceship for two people?' Meta Knight asked.

King Dedede nodded and opened the locked door and yelled, 'Waddle Dees! Make me a spaceship for two people! And make it until tomorrow!'

The Waddle Dees ran with supplies and then went into the living room.

'Well, should we get ready?' Bandana Dee said.

'Can I sleep?' Dedede yawned, and Meta Knight and Bandana Dee rolled their eyes. 'Fine, I'll help.'

The 3 of them got out of the bedroom and started getting ready for the adventure. Dedede went to supply some food and bottled water, and then instructed the Waddle Dees for the spaceship. Meta Knight went to get his own spaceship and checked if it worked properly. Bandana Dee went to the Maxim Tomato tree and picked three. Gladly, the spaceship's working, and there's enough food for 1 week, and the Maxim Tomatoes were enough for a few weeks. They packed them all up in one bag, and then checked on the spaceship. It was going quite well. It was a sky-blue spaceship with a yellow tip, and with red wings, just like King Dedede. Dedede wanted to hug the Waddle Dees. They were so sweet, so loyal to their master, even though the master was mean to them. Straining to hug them, Dedede looked at the Waddle Dees. What has Dedede done something good to them? Nothing. Dedede wanted to say sorry and thank you to the Waddle Dees a hundred times, but even that didn't seem enough. He started to feel sorry for the people in Cappy town as well. He has been so mean, so selfish and was so into trying to kill Kirby that he didn't even do anything good to the people. He wasn't nice to Kirby at all, either. Since Holy Nightmare was defeated, Dedede had nothing to do except for being nice to Kirby. As he got to know Kirby more, the more he felt sorry. He's been so cruel to everyone. He wanted to do something for them.

'Lord?' Bandana Dee said, looking concerned. 'Are you alright? You look deep in thought.'

Dedede blinked. 'Sorry, B.W. Dee. I was just... thinking about stuff. Let's just go and tell Tiff that we're going out, and then to tell her the whole town.'

Bandana Dee nodded in agreement and also told Meta Knight as well. The three of them went to Tiff's family's door and knocked, and Sir Ebrum came out.

'Hello, Sir Meta Knight, your highness King Dedede and...'

'Bandana Waddle Dee,' Dedede helped out, forgetting that quite a lot of people don't know B.W. Dee.

'Bandana Waddle Dee, yes. May I help you?' Sir Ebrum coughed.

'Can you let us see Tiff, your daughter?' Bandana Dee asked.

'Yes, of course!' Ebrum opened the door and the three went in.

Tiff was looking worried when they came in. She must have heard about Kirby missing as well. Tiff noticed them and her face lightened up a little.

'Sir Meta Knight! Oh, and King Dedede and Bandana Dee! Did you find Kirby?'

'Well, we found out that he's not on this planet any more.' Dedede said.

'What?' Tiff looked confused.

'Kabu said he crash-landed on another planet. His spaceship is broken.' Meta Knight said darkly.

'And we have to be gone for a while until we can fix his spaceship and go back to Popstar. Can you tell the town that?' Bandana Dee looked a little hopeful.

'Of course, of course. Just... all of you, keep safe okay? And I hope you don't get in too much trouble....'

All three of them nodded. As they got out of the room, Dedede turned around and said quietly to Tiff, 'Tiff, look... I'm sorry about all the things I did before. I won't mind if you don't forgive me, but... I'm sorry. I'm sorry to all of the people in this land. I'm sorry for the Waddle Dees. I'm sorry to Kirby. I hope I can get back to this amazing town quickly.'

After he said that, he left the room, leaving Tiff looking shocked and surprised for the apology.
