Suigetsu's POV

I woke up with a yawn and stretch. I looked to my right, where Sakura and Sarada were. "Good morning." Sakura said to me quietly. "Morning." I said, peeking over Sakura to see if Sarada was up yet. "She should be up soon." Sakura said, looking at her daughter, who was nestled into her. I nodded and began packing up.

I pulled some berries and spring water from my bag. "Breakfast." I said, pushing the bag of berries and container of water to Sakura. "Thank you but we already have some food." Sakura said, reaching into her medical pouch and grabbing food pills.

"No, eat this. Food pills won't last long and you can't get dehydrated." I insisted. "Suigetsu, I appreciate the opportunity but I'm going to pass. Maybe Sarada will want some when she gets up." Sakura said. "Fine." I said with a sigh.

Why is it that every time I try and be nice or do someone a favor, I get turned down? I thought as I drank a little bit of water and ate a few berries, saving most of it all for Sarada and Sakura if she decides to have some.

Sarada finally got up and had some berries and water. We packed up and began the journey to the lair, hoping we'd find Sasuke there.

Sakura's POV

About half way through the trip back to the lair, we saw someone approaching. I reached into my kunai holster, gripping the handle tightly and bringing Sarada behind me. Suigetsu stepped in front of me, making sure both Sarada and I were safe.

"Suigetsu?" The figure asked. "Sasuke?" Suigetsu asked, lowing his guard as I kept mine up. "Hey. Have you seen my family?" He asked as he continued to walk. "They're here." Suigetsu said, walking to him. Sasuke began walking faster towards us. Once in reach, he hugged us both.

"I'm glad you two are safe." He said.

"Karin and Jugo went to the lair. We were on our way to find you and after that were going to head over there." Suigetsu said.

"Well.....about the lair." Sasuke said.

After he explained everything, we decided to make a plan to find the other two and try and find a new place for us to stay safe at.

We found Karin and Jugo and told them the plan.

"What if we don't find a new place?" Suigetsu asked.

"We either head to another lair or try to reconstruct the one that was bombed." Sasuke shrugged. "Hopefully it didn't draw attention to the village or else we're done for." I said.

About two weeks later

Sasuke's POV

I sat on a treetop branch. The night's breeze was crisp against my face as it blew my hair out of my eyes. I looked below us to my family and old teammates, who were all asleep besides Sakura. She looked up at me and I signaled her up.

Sakura's POV

I sat carefully next to Sasuke, leaning against him.

"How are you feeling? You haven't slept for about three days." Sasuke asked, concern barely hiding in his low and steady voice.

"I'll be fine." I said.

"Sakura, seriously. Get sleep." He said.

"No. I'm fine." I said. He stared at me. "Don't make me put you in a Genjutsu, Sakura. I don't like doing it to you." He said. "Try me, babe." I said. He sighed and pulled me closer. "Dang it. I guess you're staying here with me." He said.

I sighed. "Maybe we don't have much to worry about." I said. "Maybe." He said, kissing my forehead.

"I'm going to bed. You should too." He said. "Yeah. Good night." I said, jumping off of the tree.

The next morning

We woke up and almost immediately were alarmed. Sasuke has woke me up and said to get Sarada safe. I tried asking why but he couldn't answer.

Sasuke.....please be safe......

Sasuke's POV

"Suigetsu. What's the meaning of all of this!?" I asked as he pulled me into his new office. "Jugo was out this morning and came back injured and said he didn't see anything good. He's with Karin right now for healing." Suigetsu explained, beginning to work on stuff on his computer. I sighed. "What am I going to do with Sarada and Sakura!?" I asked, frustration crawling from my throat.

"Calm down. We'll protect them no matter what. You don't have to worry about anything." Suigetsu said. "They're going to kill you, Suigetsu. All of you. Jugo and Karin too." I said. Suigetsu stood up. "Don't tell me you're underestimating your old team's strength AND your wife's strength!?" He shouted. I whipped around, grabbing Suigetsu by the collar of his shirt. "I know what the threat was. Don't mess with me." I said. "Mess with you!? Don't mess with me! I'm the one who's been working on the defense system!! I could take it all down right now!!" Suigetsu said as he balled his hand into a tight fist, launching it into my stomach. I let him go and grabbed my sword. "Stop! Suigetsu! Sasuke! Knock it off!!" Karin shouted from the doorway. We turned to her and realized what was happening. I let my sword go and he let his hand relax inside of his pocket.

"I'm sorry. I'm just worried." I said. "You're fine. I'm under a lot of stress too." Suigetsu said with a chuckle.

We sat in Suigetsu's office type room. "So, who's coming with me and who's staying with Sakura and Sarada?" I asked. "Well, Karin should go with you or Sakura so you have a medic and Jugo or myself will go with you." Suigetsu said. I nodded. "I'll take Sakura and Jugo. You and Karin are the best at making sure Sarada is having fun and not worried about what's happening." I said to Suigetsu. "Alright. Sounds good." Suigetsu said. I nodded at Jugo and he went to get his stuff ready.

"Sakura. In the hall." I said as I shut the door after she followed me out.

"You're coming with Jugo and I to check things out for a few days. Karin and Suigetsu are staying here with Sarada." I said. "Alright. When do we leave?" She asked. "Soon." I said, turning and getting ready to meet everyone at the entrance of the new lair we have been staying in.

I'm sorry, Sarada. I hope I see you again soon....
