The Return

Krystal's POV

"Ahh!! It's happening!!! It's about to start! I'm excited to see my brother win!" Sherlyn squealed. "Same!" Felicia agreed. "How do you know he's gonna win? I mean it's not like you can see the future", Angel said.

Chalisa, Sherlyn, Felicia, Angel, Ron, Hermione, Luna and me were sitting closely to each other in the bleachers. The first task was dragons.

"Cedric is such a boyfriend material boy. He's so handsome gosh", Felicia gushed. "He got his attractive genes from me", Sherlyn self-praised herself. "You're younger than him!" Felicia pointed out. "So?" Sherlyn replied. "Plus, he's more attractive than you", Felicia said and with that, they began to bicker. "I'm so bloody done with you mates", Ron said. "Agreed!!" Angel replied.

"Maybe he'll ask you out, Felicia", Hermione said. "I think so too. I think he likes you, unfortunately", Chalisa scowled. "Yeah right", Sherlyn rolled her eyes as she scoffed like it was a joke. "Hey!"

Soon, it started. We all cheered. Harry turned to me and smiled when it was his turn. But of course he was the last.

"Cedric!!!!" My friends shouted. I giggled and did the same. "I knew he'd make it. He's amazing", Chalisa said. "Oh most definitely", Felicia said. "I wonder how Harry will do", Hermione said. "Well all we can do is hope for the best", Luna said. Everyone agreed.

It was finally his turn and I was beyond curious on how it'll turn out.

Harry fortunately succeeded in the first two tasks. I was so happy for him and cheered endlessly, feeling butterflies when he looked at me.

But what I wondered is when I look over to Draco and he seems so anxious like he was worrying and waiting for something bad to happen. I began feeling paranoid.

TIME SKIP

"Be careful, ok? I don't wanna lose you", I said to Harry as everyone was preparing to go to the maze. I stood infront him, pleased at how he's done so far.

Just when I was about to say more encouraging words, a cold sensation was felt through everyone. It was...like darkness. Despair and just dead. A gush of thick black smoke and a crash was heard.

No one could see anything for a while but all the teachers were on red alert. We finally got to see and everyone gasped at the shocking sight infront of them.

Voldemort and his death eaters.

Wasn't his gone?! Didn't he disappear when he tried to kill Harry?! Fright flowed through me, worry and tons of questions. The teachers were just as surprised. "No! No! T-this can't be real!" Harry said. "It's real, alright", I told him.

"Harry Potter...my appearance is late, but it's better than never", Voldemort coldly said, his voice slithering through the air. It sent chills down my spine and I instantly felt goosebumps. Almost everyone took out their wands, me and Harry included. We were right infront of Voldemort. Bellatrix was cackling beside him. Lucius Malfoy was beside Bellatrix. "Come, Draco", he said, gesturing at Draco. I raised an eyebrow. He moved to their side and stood beside his father, looking sad. "D-Draco?" I whispered, shaking. "Why are you with them?" I continued. Tears were threatening to come out to of both me and Draco. He rolled his sleeves, revealing a dark mark imprinted on his arm.

I jumped. "N-no! No!" I shouted, crying. "This...No! I-it can't! You can't join them, they're monsters!" I cried.

"Ah...you must be Krystal Eleanor. You've had a great effect on my new death eater lately", Voldemort smiled, stepping closer to me. Harry stood infront of me defensively. "Don't get near her", he said.

I couldn't take my eyes from Draco. How could've this happened?!

"I guess I should make this quick...", Voldemort said, raising his wand and pointing it straight to Harry.

"Absolutely not!" Cedric was the first to step between Voldemort and Harry. I could see Felicia gasping and tears welling in her eyes. "What a brave boy. Trying to get in between me and the soon to be corpse", Voldemort chuckled.

"Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort shouted, aiming to Cedric.

But it wasn't Cedric who got killed. Both Felicia and Cho had tried to save Cedric except Felicia had shoved him out of the way, and she fell with him to the floor. But Cho...she didn't have enough time to get away from Voldemort's spell. She got hit and was killed by the killing spell.

All were wide-eyed. The teachers would've helped, but they were busy with the Death Eaters. "I want to kill you, McGonagall!" Bellatrix shrieked with a huge smile. "No chance!"

"I'd love to kill you right away, Harry Potter. But I think I'd like to have some fun", Voldemort smirked. He used a spell and pulled me towards him, I was floating with him controlling how I move.

"No! Leave her alone!" Harry and Draco shouted in unison. Voldemort just smiled. "What a wonderful capability you have. Smart. But a mudblood unfortunately and a Ravenclaw as well. That means you're not enough to be one of us". "I wouldn't want it even if I could. You're a sick monster!" I shouted. He did something to my body, it was like a painful stroke of pain except it lasted for more than just seconds.

I screamed loud, very loud as the pain got to me. I couldn't feel my body, there was only pain. Like I was burning in gasoline.

He then dropped me to the ground, hurting my body. "Ouch!" I moaned. Both Draco and Harry ran to me with worry in their eyes and helped me. "Draco! What are you doing?!" Lucius asked, stunned. "No! No! No! I won't let you hurt her. You're not gonna hurt the person I love. You'll kill me first", Draco said. I stared at him in disbelief. Love?

"Love? You love this mudblood?! Have you lost your mind, Draco?!" Lucius screamed. "I must say...I'm disappointed in you, Draco. Thought you'd be a great new recruit but of course you weren't ready for such a thing. So I'll kill you both then", Voldemort laughed. Narcissa immediately took a defensive stance infront of her son.

"No! Not my son! And not the person he loves! Please, spare them!" Narcissa pleaded. "Lucius...your family is too...attached", Voldemort said. Lucius groaned knowing that his wife and son had turned their backs on the dark lord.

He casted a spell to shove all three of us aside leaving only Harry infront of him. "It's you I want", Voldemort.

"Over my dead body", Chalisa said as she appeared beside Harry. Then, Dubledore was the one closest to Voldemort. "You'll have to go through me first if you try to hurt one of my students", he finally spoke. "Why are you all suddenly stepping infront of each other and pathetically try to save each other when you'll fail?" Voldemort said. "Dumbledore, it's not you I want", he added.

Dumbledore attacked and Voldemort defended. The spells they casted were powerful. Spells we've never learnt of. They fought one on one and the lights of spells coming from their wands looked like a light show.

Dumbledore was strong, but Voldemort was too. Though, Dumbledore got to be the more powerful one and the more likely to win in this particular fight between them.

Dumbledore was really trying to protect Hogwarts with all his might. He's amazing.

Voldemort knew he was going to lose soon...Dumbledore will overpower him soon. He groaned before disappearing with the rest of the Death Eaters except for Draco and Narcissa who was left in the grounds.

I painted, trying to catch my breathe. Then we all had our attention on Cho's dead body, lying on the floor. A lot of the Ravenclaws began to cry, myself included. "C-Cho!" I screamed. "She can't be helped anymore miss Eleanor. We shall give her a proper funeral and give her the respect she deserves", Snape said. "Yes, indeed", Dumbledore said sadly. "This was unexpected. I can't believe I've let one of my students die", Dumbledore sighed. "Everyone! Meet in the great hall right away! The tournament has been cancelled!"

I looked at Draco, he was in love with me. He'd stand up to Voldemort so that I won't get hurt. I embraced him in my arms and cried on his shoulder. he rubbed my back. "I love you Krystal Eleanor", he whispered to me, clearly expecting me to say I Love You back.

But I couldn't, I just couldn't. I don't know why but I just couldn't say it. I wasn't sure of it, I can't say I Love You when I'm not even sure if I really do love him that way.

He realized I wasn't going to say it back and just left it be.

TIME SKIP

Everyone was gathered in the great hall, mostly shaking, sobbing and is frightened.

"Everyone, the return on Voldemort has left us all surprised. I knew he'd come back one day. But I didn't know it'll be today. School will continue as usual...but we make sure we'll have extra protection from him. We'll have special rules because of the circumstance. Also, the Yule Ball which was postponed before will still be held in 2 days time. And Miss Chang's memorial will be held right right here in the Hogwarts grounds. It'll be held tomorrow", Dumbledore announced as he went on. We were shocked that the Yule Ball wasn't cancelled. Some students think it's a horrible idea whereas some other say it's a good idea to distract them from Voldemort's return.

I was truly scared. A student died in school grounds.

Harry and Draco were on either sides of me. "T-this is my fault", Harry said. "It's not. It wasn't your fault", I comforted. I felt bad for Harry. He was Voldemort's target after so long. It was sad to see.

Once we were all allowed to go back to our dorms, all the Ravenclaws met in the common room. "This is surreal!" A Ravenclaw shouted. Everyone murmured in agreement. "We really need to stick together. Like the rules say, we have to stick together and go in groups. So please follow the rules, I have to make sure all of you are safe", the Ravenclaw prefect said. I sighed before going back to my dorm. "Can't believe Cho won't share a room with us anymore", I sobbed. Everyone in the room cried together. We all eventually drifted to sleep.
