JAERYEONG POV

"Krylne had been imprisoned his whole life" Kronos said

My eyes widened...

"...Imprisoned?" I asked

"Correct. He was imprisoned by his so-called Father" Kronos said

Kihyun... being imprisoned by his Father...

Why?

"Kihyun--No. Krylne is a very nice person! Why would he be imprisoned?" I asked

"Cause you don't know... What Krylne really is" Kronos said

What Krylne really is?

"He's a demon isn't he?" I asked

"He is. A very powerful one" Kronos said

"...I'm confused. Can you explain.." I said

"I'm not sure if Krylne would want you to know but... alright" Kronos said

Kihyun doesn't want me to know?

Why?

I wonder..

"You do know I'm the First Son and Krylne is the Second Son right?" Kronos asked

"Yeah.." I said

"Did you know that Krylne's going to be the next King after Satan?" Kronos asked

My eyes widened..

"The next.... King? You mean.." I said

"That's right. Krylne is the next in line after Satan. Meaning he's the next King Of The Underworld" Kronos said

What...

That doesn't make sense..

"But you're the First Son..." I said

"Believe it or not but Satan had many wives previously before my mother. And it was all because Satan wanted a baby with his genes" Kronos said

"Satan's genes?" I said

"Yes. All the previous wives failed to have a child with his genes. The previous childrens only had their Mother's DNA inside. However, Krylne had his genes. The first child to have his genes.." Kronos said

Kihyun has Satan's DNA in him?

"But he looks nothing like Satan... Honestly, he looks like his Mother" I said

"Have you seen The Satan? Have you even seen Krylne's Demonic Form?" Kronos asked

Kihyun's Demon Form...

I suddenly remembered the deep bloodlust eyes he had from the time he killed the werewolf..

Was that the demon form?

....Or.. is there more to it?

"Wait.. so you don't possess Satan's genes?" I asked

Kronos shook his head.

"I don't. None. That is also why Satan doesn't care about a Son like me" Kronos said

I frowned..

"Tch. Don't get all melancholy. I don't need your pity" Kronos said

Kronos stared at me then looked away..

"So then Krylne was locked up for his entire life was because..." I said

"He's the next Ruler. Satan wouldn't risk the chance of him being killed.." Kronos said

"And there was another reason" Kronos added

"What is it?" I asked

"...I don't know" Kronos said

"You don't know? What do you mean?" I asked

"I don't know the other reason. Krylne... That boy never told me" Kronos growled

AVERY POV

Where is she?

And why isn't Kronos around?

Also.. Why is Satan allowing me to roam around so freely in their castle?

I am destroying it.. Does he not care?

"Avery!"

I flinched... That voice..

"Delancey?! What are you doing here?" I asked

"I should be asking you that! What are you doing?! You're destroying the castle!" Delancey shouted

"I-I'm trying to find Jaeryeong" I said

"I'm glad you're trying to find her but not in this way Avery! You're hurting the people in the castle and causing a ruckus around the neighbouring castles! If Father finds out that you're causing this problem, he'll--" Delancey shouted

"Okay maybe I'm going a little too far with my plan but it'll work. Father won't find out. I got this" I said

My plan is to capture Jaeryeong and Kronos then lure Krylne here to me. I deal with Krylne in some way... After, I'll erase Jaeryeong's memories and let her stay at my castle as a maid with Delancey. And as for Kronos...What should I do?

"Avery!" Delancey called

"Yeah?" I answered

"Stop it. Tell your soldiers to stop" Delancey said

"Why? I'm retrieving Jaeryeong for you and I have my own reasons for this" I said

I need to meet Krylne.. I want to talk to him...

..Well as if he'll come here right?

I suddenly heard a huge explosion.

The castle shook...

"Wh-What the?" I said

"What was that powerful blow?" Delancey asked

"That level of magic.. It's incredibly high.. Who could have done that?" I asked

Do we have an enemy?

No way.. That level of magic is way stronger than mine..

Who is it?

I whistled.

My dragon Skeltagon came.

"Skeltagon, eltsac eht morf yawa yecnaleD ekaT!" I ordered

Delancey stared at me.

"No! Avery--" Delancey shouted

I touched her forehead.

"Sleep"

Delancey fell and I caught her in my arms.

I placed Delancey on Skeltagon.

"Skeltagon, uoy no gnitnuoc m'I" I said

Skeltagon nodded and flew off with Delancey.

Now that Delancey safe with Skeltagon..

I need to prepare myself for this.. enemy that attacked us..

"P-Princess!" A guard shouted

"What is it?" I asked

"T-The frontlines are c-completely wiped out! Everyone perished!" The guard said

My eyes widened.

"What?!" I exclaimed

Who is this enemy?

"They're heading into the castle! What do we do?!" The guard exclaimed

"What are the numbers?" I asked

"T-There's only one" The guard said

ONLY ONE ENEMY?!

And they wiped out my frontlines...

I gritted my teeth..

"Call for back-up. I want more soldiers to come immediately" I ordered

"I tried! The connections are failing" The guard said

<BOOM>

I closed my eyes as I blocked my ears.

"T-The door exploded.." The guard said

I opened my eyes..

There was smoke everywhere.

I coughed.

I noticed a shadow walking towards me.

"Well well well... I should've known that these soldiers belong to you"

My eyes widened..

T-That voice...

"Seriously man.. I come back here after thousands of years then I find my home being destroyed by your soldiers"

No way...

He's.... here?

He's really here?

"Hey... Why aren't you saying anything?"

The smoke dispersed and the person's identity was clear as day..

My eyes widened..

...My body feels paralyzed..

I can't move...

"I'm talking to you Avery"

He stepped closer to me..

I noticed my hands were trembling..

"P-Princess! Y-You, stay away from her!" The guard shouted as he raised his spear

The person turned and looked at the guard.

The guard looked petrified..

"Y-Y-You're..." The guard said

"You dare raise your weapon at me?"

The guard immediately dropped his spear..

"Disintegrate"

"N-No--" The guard said

My eyes widened..

The guard turned into dust..

"Now... Where were we.."

He stared at me..

"I only have one thing to ask"

He stepped closer.

I can't look away from his gaze..

His eyes..

His deep red eyes..

They remind me of...

"I want you to answer me"

Satan..

He lifted my chin.

"Where is my Jaeryeong?"

"K-Krylne.." I said

"Hah... You finally spoke. Now tell me.. Where is she?" Krylne asked

"...I-I don't know.." I said

Krylne's eyes sharpened..

I felt a chill down my spine..

"....Seriously?" Krylne asked

"Y-Yes.. I'm trying to find her but... She's no where..to be found" I said

"Is that all you know?" Krylne asked

I bit my lip and gulped..

I managed to take a breath..

"S-She's with Kronos.. That's all I know.." I said

Krylne let go of my chin..

"I see.." Krylne said walking passed me

"W-Wait!" I said

I turned around.

"W-Why are you back? What brings you here Krylne!?" I asked

My plan was to lure you here but I never actually thought... you would come..

"I'm here for Jaeryeong" Krylne stated

I felt a pain in my chest..

I clenched my armour...

"Tch... Why her?" I muttered

"WHY! WHY ARE YOU HERE FOR HER?! I've always been by your side! What has she ever done for you?!" I shouted

Krylne turned around, facing me.

My eyes widened.

"She gave me a meaning to life" Krylne smiled

He continued walking off..

My knees gave out and I fell to the ground...

What... was that?

He never once... smiled like that ever since the Queen died..

I bit my lip as tears fell...

"I don't know.. whether to hate you or thank you... Kwon Jaeryeong"
