Attack on Titan: The Breaking Of the Trio

This is a story if Eren's friendship with Armin and Mikasa broke apart way before the final Aot Arc. Meaning this story also takes place before the other Arc where the Scouts battles Reiner and Bertolt while the characters also had to make a decision of who would be given a certain serum. If you read the manga, you'll know what I'm talking about. But enjoy!

Eren....he's changed. He's pushed Mikasa and Armin away, deciding to throw them out of his life. He tells Mikasa that he hates her, tells Armin that he isn't the same person he once knew, and beats him to a bloody pulp.

Things have been rough for both Armin and Mikasa. They have no idea why he's said and done these terrible, terrible things to them. All they really know for certain is that Eren has changed into a completely different person and chose to cast them both out of his life.

"Eren...how could you?!" Armin felt intense anger towards the man who was once his best friend. The things he said to Mikasa....was completely horrible and unforgivable.

It was another day in Trost District. Armin was currently out and about searching for Mikasa. "I wonder where she is...?" Armin spoke quietly to himself.

As he searched and searched down the streets, including the alleyways, he seemed to have no luck at all when it came to finding her. He honestly thought he wouldn't find her. But just when he felt like giving up, he spots her aways away.

Mikasa....she was...? She was hurt. She was on her knees trembling. What would have happened?

"Mikasa?!" Armin calls out as he rushes to her side. She didn't respond. Her gaze was cast down, away from his, but something was off.

"Mikasa? What's wrong?" Armin ask in the softest voice he could muster as he kneels down besides Mikasa and places a hand on her shoulder.

"Eren...he's...I still can't get it in my head, Armin." Mikasa forces her gaze up to meet Armin's. In her eyes, tears built up in them and streamed down like a flowing river.

Armin immediately wraps Mikasa in his arms and shushes her, telling her how it will be alright, and everything will be fine. The breaking of the trio was upsetting for Armin too, so he knew exactly how Mikasa felt. He had a bad feeling that she wasn't going to get over this rather quickly.

The two stayed this way for a long time. Armin held Mikasa close to him, long enough till she felt better. "Thank you, Armin." Mikasa thanked Armin for comforting her.

Armin nods in response with a small smile before walking her back with him to the Private Quarters. Eren...he's changed and broken his promise with him to see the Ocean together. But Mikasa still hopes to see it with him. The Trio may have broke apart, but a duo was given birth after.
