Attack on Titan: The Battle At Utgard Castel

The Titans had breached Wall Rose informed by soldiers and Eren, Armin, and Mikasa were put in a squad together. They wore their Scouts uniforms including their Wings Of Freedom cloak and were riding on horseback with their squad.

Wherever the hole was, they needed to find it, and fast. Eren needs to seal up the Wall as soon as possible or else the majority of the human race will have been wiped out.

It was during the evening that reports by soldiers came that the Wall had been breached and how the Titans were spotted coming from the south. By now, it was pitch dark outside.

Eren's squad had found a place to stay for the night. It was called Utgard Castle. The squad enters the castle to rest for the night. There was always a member or two who would stay awake to keep watch.

Armin was one of the few people who volunteered to keep watch. He felt that it would be difficult to stay awake, knowing that Titans could perhaps come and destroy the castle or enter at any time. But the numbers of people gathered here weren't so high, so the chances of that happening was very slim.

Armin would nod off several times, fighting sleep. But whenever that would happen, he would snap out of it and jerk his head up in startelement.

Eren woke up a little and soon noticed Armin's struggling efforts to fight sleep and to keep watch. "Armin, get some sleep. I'll keep watch." Eren spoke to his best friend.

"I-Its fine...I can...." As Armin tried to wave off Eren's offor, he couldn't stop nodding off his head weakly as his eyes struggled to stay open. Eren knew Armin was at his limit in staying awake, but Armin couldn't bring himself to fall asleep.

"Armin, seriously." Eren Pat's a hand firmly on Armin's shoulder in reassurance. "It's fine, I can take it from here. Get some rest, you could really use it. If Titans do come, we need you to be well rested so if the situation calls for it, you can fight and protect yourself."

"O-Okay..." whispers Armin before lying down on his side and giving in to the sleep he's been fighting for several hours now.

Eren smiles, glad to see his friend finally getting the sleep he deserves. Eren turns his gaze afterwards to keeping watch. He has to protect everyone here and make sure that no one dies tonight. That was his goal.

The night was very much silent and peaceful for a few more hours. Eren began to wonder if everyone was actually going to be fine and if they were all going to survive this til daybreak. But...

Suddenly an powerful explosion, rubbling, or shaking unbalances the earth, and everyone inside the castel bounces from where they were.

Once the sudden earthquake comes to a stop, everyone jerks their heads about, clearly confused. "Come on everyone, on top the castle!" Orders Nanaba before both she and Gelgar leads everyone up the stairs to the very top of the castle.

Eren, Armin, and Mikasa keeps up the pace, and upon reaching the top, they can see countless Titans approaching the castle one after another.

The trio sweats nervously at the sight. This wasn't going to be such an easy going and peaceful night after all, was it?

"Rookies, stay back for now and watch how it's done." Nanaba says to the rest of the soldiers as she, Gelgar, and a few other experienced soldier's dive off the castel and into battle to lower the Titans numbers. If they do nothing, the Titans will have destroyed the castle and everyone gathered here will be dead.

Eren watches the brave soldiers along with Armin and Mikasa and the rest of the beginners on top the castle. He watches in admiration. He wonders if one day, if he manages to master his Titan shapeshifting skill, perhaps he could improve in fighting as a Human soldier as well. Just like them.

As the three watches among the small crowd, Armin begins to nod off once again and begins to stumble, but catches himself.

"Armin, you alright?" Ask Eren in concern. "I-I'm fine." Armin responds in slight irritation. He had to stay awake to keep his friends from worrying. Especially since if things go sour and down hill, he can be prepared to take action.

For a while the experienced higher ups were doing excellent at lowering the Titans numbers and keeping them away from the castle. But that slowly began to change.

Up from afar, across the field, a 17 meter high Titan walked across with skinny long legs with a hairy body that covered the Titan nearly everywhere from head to toe. It's appearance resembled that of a chimpanzee.

"W-What is that...?!" Armin, Eren, and Mikasa's expressions freezes in awe as they watched the creature walk about on the earth.

"It's a Titan..." starts Mikasa. "Wait, hold on, something isn't quite right..." Armin speaks after. "C-Could it be? That can't be just any normal kind of abnormal. Can that be...a Titan-shapeshifter?" Eren draws to the conclusion the three came to.

Suddenly the Ape Titan turns it's attention right towards their direction, right at the castle. It's hands grabs rubbles of rock, it's long arms extend and tosses the rubble out at the castle as if it was in the middle of some ball game like baseball.

The Castle begins to shake incredibly the nearly everyone on top it stumbles at the sudden movement. As this happen, screams and wails pierced everyone's ears.

The Titans were devouring the soldiers who were originally protecting all the rookies were being devoured and torn limb by limb. One cry Holland louder than the rest and screamed,

"P-Please, no!! I-I'll be a good girl from now on! Daddy, I promise! Noooo!!" The wait that came from Nanaba ends with a blood curdling scream of angsty pain as she was stripped of her life from the Titans.

All everyone on top could do was watch in complete horror. What good could they do? They're novices and the situation has turned suicidal. Even if they were to jump into the fray, they are already as good as dead.

The sight had become so brutal and gory, Mikasa and Armin both forced their gazes away from what lies below them, unable to watch anymore of this savageness.

"Damn it!!" Eren screams before punching a fist against the bricky wall built on top the castle they all coward upon.

"They're all dying!! They fought to protect us! So we could all survive to see another day! And what are we doing? Wasting fucking time on this God forsaken castle!!"

"Eren, be quiet!!" Mikasa harshly shushes Eren. Eren immediately turns his angered gaze with Mikasa's to become only more angry by her words.

"Eren, I know your angry right now, but throwing a fit won't do any good! I know it's hard to watch your comrades be eaten and killed, but if we also went out there we'd wind up just the same!"

"M-Mikasa, what are you even saying?!! Hell, they would be alive if we only joined them!! Your all pathetic cowards!! While you wait here and see how it's done, I'm going to fight!!" Eren shouts before running towards the edge of the castel and jumping down off it.

Mikasa snaps into realization to Eren's words. Those words...she once spoken a similar statement back during the battle in Trost. And she knew Eren was right...they are cowards for standing by and leaving all the dirty work a double fighting to their officers. But she was afraid of Eren going out and putting his life in danger, so...

Mikasa curses at herself within her heart for being so foolish. But she was snapped out of her thoughts when she sees what was Eren's figure jumping down from the top of the Castle. Armin runs towards the edge and reaches out a hand as he screams to the top of his lounges...

"Eren, NO!!!"

As Eren fell with Titans swarmed right below him, he bites down into his hand as blood gushes out of it, with the mindset of eliminating all the Giants within sight.

He was done with watching and doing nothing. He wasn't going to lay back and see how things are done and dealt with. He's not going to let any more human blood be split today. He was going to fight!

A harsh and blinding light burst below the castle and Mikasa pulls Armin back. The two collapse down onto both of their butts and before them, Titan Eren could be seen emerging out of a thick layering of fog and Humanity's hope begins to let out an angry and vengeful roar before stomping the Titans, tearing apart their limbs, and killing them again and again.

Once again Eren has saved everyone's lives again. When Humanity is defenseless and weak, he is the shining hope they have that saves the day!

The Ape Titan from afar stares and watches the fight from a far distance away. It can see the bloody anger and hate in Eren's eyes that was so full of emotion.

Once all the Titans within the area were all wiped out, Eren's eyes meet with the Beast Titans which shoots dagger's in them. Seeing the fiery look in Eren's eyes, the Beast Titan walks away.

Knowing that everyone was no longer in danger, and the enemies that once surrounded them were long gone, Eren's Titan collapse to its knees before Eren began to attempt to crawl out from the Titan carcass located underneath the nape of the Titan's neck.

Armin and Mikasa dives down to help Eren and pulls him out. Hot steam burst out from where Eren rested within the Titan, and just the touch of Eren's arm and hand burnt Armin and Mikasa's skin to the touch.

Eren was barely consciousness and was quite out of it, but he couldn't help but to crack a smile when knowing that Armin and Mikasa were alright and safe. Not too long after, countless members of the Scouts including members Hanji and Levi arrived to the scene and everyone retreated back to the Walls.

Everything was going to be fine now. If only a Colossal secrete weren't revealed by certain trusted men who Eren originally looked up to. A shocking betrayal and capture was what awaited after this battle at Utgard Castle.
