Attack on Titan: Confession
19:17, 10 December 2018Just to warn anyone who may get confused, this story takes place in the Modern day world and not the universe of Attack on Titan. Enjoy! :)
Recently the trio that consisted of Eren, Armin, and Mikasa has split up. Eren said and done unforgivable and unforgettable things to Mikasa and Armin. And now their friendship is broken, and so is the trio that held them together.
Now there is a new trio. One that consist of Armin, Mikasa, and Myself, Kiyomi. I'll always be there for the two no matter what. I'll protect them from Eren.
Lately there's been an memory knawing at the back of my mind. And it was becoming a real pain. This memory...it was a memory from back when I confronted Eren over what happened between the trio. He...he said that Armin's been hanging out with Annie a lot more at School.
But how is this even possible?! How could I not noticed? I mean, I practically have all my classes with Armin and we always sit next to each other! So...if what Eren said was true, when and where has Armin been meeting up with Annie on School campus?
But that wasn't the only thing bothering me. What's bothering me even more….is the fact that Eren said that he believes that Armin has a crush on Annie! Aaaahh!!!
This was torture for me. Why? Well... because I sorta...have a crush on Armin. And a major one at that. I love him. I adore him. To the point, you may even call my love for him an unhealthy obsession.
But how could I not have feelings for the blonde coconut? I mean, he's kind, sweet, caring, hard-working, selfless, smart, cute, and--and--- he's just precious!!
I love Armin very much, but the only problem is that I'm scared of telling him how I truly feel. Scared that he may reject me and our friendship will be ruined for ever and perhaps he won't even want to be friends anymore!
But deep down I know Armin. I know he's not the type to turn down a girl immediately and cold heartedly. He would listen to what the girl had to say, and then give his answer or think it over and bit.
And I'm sure Armin wouldn't want to not be friends anymore. I mean, we have all the same classes together and we even sit next to each other and chat nearly everyday! Honestly losing my friendship with Armin would be like receiving a death certificate.
I want to take the chances and to tell him how I truly feel about him, in hopes he might return my feelings. But...above all, I don't want to lose the bond we have now.
But then again, if he actually has special feelings towards Annie, similar to the feelings I have for him...I shouldn't let my own feelings get the best of me. If they end up together, I should just leave them be and be happy for Armin. I mean, as long as Armin is happy, I am happy. But…
I couldn't help but to feel an ache in my heart. What if it's already too late to tell Armin my feelings? What if...he's sorta already going out with Annie but just hasn't said anything yet? I mean, it probably wouldn't be that surprising since like me, he can also be shy at times. But…
I groan and sigh, feeling quite hopeless and confused over what to do. But I'm snapped out of my depressing thoughts when a voice reaches out to me, pulling me back into reality.
I jerk my head up from my crossed arms over the table, and I look towards me right to see Armin standing over me with a curious look on his face.
“Kiyomi, are you alright?” He asked me. Never do I ever, in any circumstances, do I lay my head down in class. Armin knows I'm not comfortable to sleep in school, so something was clearly wrong.
“U-Um...I'm fine.” I lie nervously. This was really stupid of me, I shouldn't be so upset about this as long as Armin's happy. He deserves to be with someone who makes him happy. And if Annie makes him happy, that's a really great thing. I shouldn't be selfish.
“You sure?” Armin ask gently before sitting himself in his chair right next from mine, and he focuses his attention on me.
“I know you better than anyone else in the school. And I know you don't like to sleep in class. Is something bugging you? It's alright to tell me.”
Armin...he's always so understanding and easy to talk to. Honestly he's the one person I feel like I can confess all to. Or…nearly all, that is. I still feel a bit uneasy about telling him…
“Ah...um…” I stutter as my eyes scrolls around all over the place. Armin could tell that I was hesitating to tell him anything. He gives me a frown.
“Kiyomi...do you not trust me?”
“O-Oh no, no, no! Of course not, I trust you completely!” I burst out as my eyes jump wide open in Surprise.
“Then why can't you tell me?”
“Erm…”
After a quick moment of thinking I decide to spill the beans for him once and for all. He deserved to know the truth. It's wrong for me to hide things from Armin, especially if it's turned into this big of a deal.
“Can I...maybe tell you later? Sometime alone perhaps?”
“S-Sure…” Armin agrees.
For the rest of the bell we went over English notes together and studied for an upcoming quiz that would be coming this Friday, and eventually the bell rings.
I put away my notes back into my English folder and into my book bag and raise it over my shoulders to carry off to my next class. Me and Armin walks together off to our following class, Algebra.
We have all of the majority of our classes together, so usually we walk together down into our following classes. Eventually we made it to Alfedbra and upon walking in, we are given a worksheet filled with many mathematical problems that looked nothing but a foreign language to me.
I mostly stare at the worksheet I lay upon the table once I sat myself down, and stress was already starting to build in my head. Armin, sending this, decides to help me out.
Math was easy and simple from him. And whenever the teacher explained the basics to the problems we were studying, it made absolutely no sense at all. But when Armin explained it, he made it easy to understand. It was like magic.
After getting the majority of our problems squared away with, Armin asked me if now would be a good time to talk to him. I nod and agree and the teacher allows us to step outside without any problems.
We step outside the classroom and after a moment Armin starts with, “What's wrong?” I really didn't know if it was wrong or okay. I mean, it shouldn't be a crime to love someone. But perhaps it is when you know that they may love another than yourself.
“Um...I…” I wanted to just spill it out and tell him that I love him and to finish off my confession with a sweet and quick peck on his lips, but I couldn't bring myself to. I felt that I was holding back. Shouldn't I just ask if he has feelings for Annie first? Or if they're together even? Just to be sure?
I had my mouth opened, ready to speak, but I close it when I don't know exactly what to say, what question to ask.
Armin stared at me and he knew I wanted to tell him something. But it was just a matter of how to word it or what to be said or asked.
“Do...do you have a crush on anyone?” I decided to start out with. For a moment Armin's expression was blank, but then his eyes gone wide, a small thing of sweat trailed down from his forehead while his cheeks heated up.
“W-What?!” He stuttered out in astonishment. He either couldn't believe the words that just tumbled out of my mouth, or he didn't hear what I just asked.
“D-Do you have a crush on anyone…? Or anything of the sort?” It was now my turn for my face to heat up, this was a little embarrassing and nerve wrecking to ask.
“U-Um….why do you ask?” He responds, his words slow and careful. “J-Just wondering….B-But, um...I don't talk to Eren anymore, but the last time I did he said that you perhaps had a thing for Annie?”
Upon hearing this, for a mere second, his face began to heat up even more, but too soon after, the color in his face returns to normal as he responds, “N-No, weir not….no. It... it wasn't that I was crushing on A-Annie or anything. I just...liked seeing her is all. It wasn't anything special.”
Being given this answer, Armin alters his gaze to the ground. But in order to be sure that he wasn't just denying it out of embarrassment or humiliation…
“Honest?”
“H-Honest? D-Do you think I'm lying to you…?!”
“N-No, of course not!”
“Then why do you care so much?”
“B-Because….I sort of...L-L-Like you.” I spilled it out at last. Or not quite. Darn it!! I said liked! I was supposed to say love not like! This is a disaster…
But luckily, Armin being as smart as he is…
“H-Huh? You...like me? As in...you...l-love me?” In response to Armin's question, I nod. Armin's face grows a deeper shade of red, before his lips curls into a smile and a chuckle comes out of his mouth.
“T-That's all it was? You had me scared, I thought something was wrong!”
As Armin chuckled, I nervously smiled awkwardly towards Armin's reaction. He notices my tense presence and he realizes that he needs to give an answer.
“Kiyomi...I love you too.” Armin smiles sweetly before drawing his face closer, his lips inching closer towards mine, and just when we were ready to kiss…
Armin is roughly pulled away from behind and he lets out a surprised gasp. Arms tightly wrapped itself around his waist, and refused to let go. A chin rested itself onto Armin's shoulder and icey cold eyes glared into mine.
“A-Annie…” I stuttered out, feeling breathless out of fear. Could it be? Perhaps Armin might not have any romantic feelings towards Annie, but could she…?
“Stay away.” Annie harshly says to me. From her tone, it sounded threatening. like, if I didn't do exactly as she demanded she would break my limbs one by one….
“A-Annie what are you doing? L-Let go!” Squirmed Armin, tight in the female's grip. “Step away now.” Annie gave me one final warning. So I step away until I knew it was a distance Annie was okay with.
“A-Annie, please let go! Your squashing me…!” Armin whimpers out. Geez, what is this woman, a gorilla?!
“Armin...I love you. More than she ever could. I adore everything about you, and I'll never let go.”
“A-Annie….I-I understand your feelings, but if you don't loosen your grip around me even a little….”
Realizing at last that her grip around Armin's waist was far too tight, Annie loosens up a bit. “Phew…” Armin sighs in a little bit of relief.
“Armin I truly do love you far more than she could. And I'm going to prove it!” Annie, immediately after stating this, smashes her lips onto Armin's, startling both of us!
She gives Armin a deep and long kiss before moving away and releasing his arms from tangled around him. “So...will you return my feelings?”
Armin, without very much thought at all, answered by saying….”N-No. I-I'm sorry Annie. But no…”
“W-What?! B-But why?!” Burst out Annie in complete Disbelief. “Because! You were way too rough and forceful with him! Plus, Armin sorta already returned my feelings, so…” I trail off as I tried to explain one way or another why Armin was turning Annie down, and before darting off she began to throw a fit.
“Graaaaah-!! Whyyyy?! You stole my crush away! How dare you?!!”
“🎵Last Christmas I gave you my heart and the very next day you gave it away🎵” A student who was secretly eavesdropping on us the whole time sings this Holiday tune, only causing Annie to become even more angry than she already was.
“Shut up!!” She scowls before chasing after the poor defenseless student. “Yikes…” Mutters Armin nervously.
At times he enjoys talking to Annie and hanging out with her every once in awhile, but she isn't exactly his type. Who knows, she gets along best with Bertholdt and Eren. So perhaps one of those two would be best for her.
Thinking about it for another moment, Armin thinks Annie would be best with Bertholdt. He doesn't know about Eren. Sure, the two gets along very well and have a lot in common. But the only problem...Armin sorta ships Eren and Mikasa together…
But shaking his head, the thoughts snaps out of the blonde coconut's head, and he returns his attention towards me. “Now...where were we?” With that, me and Armin were finally able to have our very first kiss💕….until the bell rang, of course.☹️
The End
