Attack on Titan: Another Day Beyond The Walls
04:50, 12 November 2018
It was another day beyond the Walls. Another day to relive the hell that existed outside. Another day to lose your comrades. Another day to lose a limb of two. Another day to even lose your life. And another day to experience the fear of the Titans you have lived in fear from for so long.
It was that type of day for the Scouts once again. Usually with Commander Erwin as the Leader, not as many lives are lost. But this time was different.
There was no strategy that can save these soldier's now. An army of Titans suddenly came out of nowhere and began to tear the limbs, flesh, and lives out of these soldiers who dedicated their hearts to the cause.
Things were going sour for everyone. It was only a matter of time til everyone who was sent out beyond the Walls would be massacred by the Giants who have ruled over Humanity for countless years.
Jean and Armin was on top their horses, attempting to leave everything behind. To leave all the death behind and in attempt to make it back to the Walls to survive another day.
But out of nowhere, lunged a Titan right smack into Jean's horse, causing Jean to crash quite hard to the ground. In a high pitch scream, Armin cried out Jean's name in a panic.
Armin's horse, sensing Armin's distress, stands up on it's two feet and let's out a ear piercing neigh, causing Armin to fall right off before the horse fled.
Armin and Jean were now horseless-- Armin's horse fled the battlefield, and Jean's horse was killed by the lunging Titans impact when it collides into it.
Armin's headache, but he ignored the sensation as he wobbled back onto his two feet and called out for Jean. He saw him a ways away, passed out on the ground.
Armin trips over to Jean and knelt down besides him. He lifts Jean up in his arms and cries out his name in an attempt to wake up his friend. Nothing worked. He was far too wounded to awake.
Before Armin even knew it, Titans were surrounding him and Jean, crawling ever closer to the defenseless duo as they slowly reached out their bloody hands towards their prey.
While still holding onto Jean protectively in Armin's clutches, in his free hand, he raised up a sword and started swiping it about, in an attempt to keep the Titans back.
"S-S-Stay away!!" Armin stuttered frightfully. A few Titans did step away, but most ignored Armin's action and plea and moved ever closer, with the desire to devour both him and Jean for the mere pleasure of doing so.
Tears streamed down Armin's cheeks as he fell to the understanding that this was all pointless. There was nothing he could do to save his or Jeans life. They were now nothing more than Titan fodder.
Armin shakily drops his blade without meaning to, and loses all his strength. He squints his eyes shut tightly and allows his tears to stream down freely. There was nothing he could do to escape this fate.
The Scouts were doomed. This expedition was a failure and was bound to fail from the start. And there was nothing anyone could do to change that. Absolutely nothing.
But just when things grew dark, just when it seemed that all the light disappeared and gave away to the midst of despair, the light came back.
Eren Yeager bit his hand and transformed himself into the Attack Titan that roared ever mightly before destroying all the Titans that laid in his path. Just when Armin felt like giving up, Eren charges right in and kills all the Titans surroundings g his childhood friend without showing any mercy to the enemy.
Once Eren wiped out all the remaining Titans in the battlefield, he dropped to the ground, and crawled out of the Attack Titan from the carcass.
He hurries over to Armin and Jean with a horse. Sure, usually only two could fit on a single horse, but Eren being Eren, being g as stubborn as he was, forced Armin to make room for the three.
The survivors managed to retreat back inside the Walls. There was only twenty survivors during this expedition. And nobody accomplished anything.
"We...lost so many lives, yet accomplished nothing." Armin muttered sadly under his breath. He was sitting in a waggon with Jean and Eren. They made it back into the city Walls.
"Perhaps, but your alive and that's all that matters to me." Spoke Eren. "H-Huh?! B-But..." Armin begins to stutter but Eren stops him.
"Yes, it is a true shame that our mission failed and we lost so many lives today...but you and Jean...your my precious friends. And I'm glad you survived. I'm glad your still alive..."
"E-Eren..."
The Scouts may had lost many lives and such today. But there's always tomorrow. There always another day to strike back and to take back what was once lost-- Humanity's freedom.
The End
(And P.S, Jean survived so no worries)
