Attack on Titan: Trainee Days - Part 8
13:20, 22 October 2018Kiyomi's Pov
A lot of people were still tired after all that training yesterday. But Instructor Keith would not let anyone skip a day of training.
As if taking Armin's words seriously when he said he hoped there wouldn't be any intense Training, Keith must think he's been going too easy on us. Cause ever since that day....we've been having a ton of intense Training. It's crazy.
This is just the third day after all that Training.
Our Instructor was having us learn how to ride on horseback today. This seemed to ease everyone today. Finally. Something that doesn't torture your body of intense Training or exercise. To everyone else, this was their day off. Though we still did as our Instructor told us.
We all had the hang of it. The horses weren't the kind to bite or anything. So they were cool with us getting onto their backs to ride them.
It was a nice day out, so it was a fun day for me. I pretty much know how to get on a horse....but it's really hard getting off of one.
I had to call for reiner and beg him to help me off.
"REINEEER!!!" I screamed.
"What?!" he barked back in annoyance as he approached me on foot.
"Can....can you help me get off the horse, please?"
"Your stuck?"
"Maybe...." I admitted with a small giggle.
"Sigh....ok." Reiner went over to me by my side and got his arms out.
"First get your right leg over from that side over to your left."
I did as he instructed.
"Jump down. I'll catch you."
"Um....jump down?" I hesitated.
"I'll catch you."
I trusted Reiner and did as he told me, and he caught me. And then my feet finally made it to the ground. I feel safe again.
"Thanks Reiner." I smiled.
"It's no problem. So......are you afraid of heights?" he asked me out of the blue.
"Um....no." I lied.
"Okaaay..." He began to walk off.
"Make sure you don't get stuck next time!"
"Um....ok!" I highly doubt I can get off by myself.
But I began to look for Armin. I noticed his back slouched over on a horse.
"Ah! Armin!" I called out excitedly as I began to approach.
"Hi armin!" I greeted. I noticed there was no response coming from armin. I began to approach closer from the side of the house where I could see his face.
Armin was sleeping......he was sleeping on the horse. The horse was just calm, just standing there. It didn't mind him sleeping on it's back as much as it didn't mind Armin sitting on it's back and riding it.
I simply stared at Armin's face for a moment. He looked really cute when sleeping. He looked so peaceful. I smiled.
But then a thought came into my mind. I was thinking about Armin's dream of going out into the Outside world. He's told me about that dream for a while now.
I heard from Eren, that's been Armin's dream since he was a kid and when he first met Armin in Shiganshina district within wall Maria, before it was breached by the the Colossal Titan.
He told me he used to get bullied by the kids in town just because he was interested about the Outside World, beyond the Walls.
Eren didn't really get along well with the other kids either. So the two of them were like outcast. They only had each other.
One day, Armin began to tell Eren about the Outside world and shown him his book. The two got along well since both of them were interested about the Outside. That used to be all they would talk about back in those days.
But eventually, Eren stopped talking to Armin about it. It was in hopes so Armin wouldn't want to join the Scouts like he did. Eren wants to join the scouts and fight the Titans, and he doesn't want to drag his childhood friend along with him.
Especially when there's a sharp chance that you can get killed upon setting a single foot beyond the Walls.
Right now, weir just Tranies. Once we graduate, we can either become a Scout-- whom ventures beyond the walls to kill and fight Titans for the glory of humanity, or the Garrison and Military Police.
Armin looked cute while sleeping there. He looked fast asleep.
"No way. Did armin fall asleep?" I heard Eren's voice as he joined me by my side. "Yeah." I smiled.
"He can't sleep. If he gets caught, he'll get into trouble." said Eren, worriedly.
True. the other Tranies probally wouldn't mind, but Instructor Keith sure would.
"Yo, Armin!" called out Eren. "Armin!!" Armin then snapped out of his sleep.
"H-huh..?"
"You fell asleep buddy. I don't want Instructor Keith catching you."
"Oh. R-Right. Sorry." Armin apologizes timidly.
"It's fine. I know your tired. But try staying awake to avoid trouble, ok?"
"Ok."
Eren walks away afterwards. Armin still looked really sleepy. He looked kinda cute.
"Kiyomi? Do you know how to ride a horse?" Armin asked out of the blue.
"Oh? Sorta.....I'm a beginner though. I at least know how to get on a horse. But I don't really know how to guide the horse or really how to get off." I admitted.
"I kinda get the gist of getting on and off. Want me to show you how to get off?" Armin offers.
"Sure!" I agreed.
So Armin shown me how he got on and off the horse properly. It was still a little difficult getting onto the horse myself, but Armin helped me out. And he even helped me get down! And that's the most challenging part!
"I guess I still need some practice." I giggled once I got down. "Well that's ok. I heard from Instructor Keith weir going to be doing this for four more days." Armin informed me.
"Cool!" I shout. That's a week's break of intense torture called training. Phew! Thank goodness!
