Attack on Titan: A overwhelming and Shocking surprise

It was another day in the crazy world of Attack on titan. Except today was a  day that the scouts weren't going outside the walls. They only do that during special or random missions for outside the walls. And today everyone was able to chill out and relax.

Mikasa was behind this random building with a red rooftop - just another ordinary aot building that looked pretty much the same as the rest of the other building seeing how they look all symmetrical and all….

And Armin happened to walk by without spotting Mikasa - surprisingly, and continued to walk on. Mikasa was extremely surprised by this and this slightly broke her heart.

Last time her heart was broken was when Eren Yeager turned her down - yes. Mikasa confessed that she was in love with Eren and wanted to be by his side forever and live in a house together outside the walls once the titans were gone and have a very peaceful life.

But Eren didn’t return Mikasa’s feelings and said that it would be weird being in a special relationship with her since she was  his sister. But she was only his adoptive sister. They weren't related by blood. Mikasa tried as hard as she could to beg Eren to accept her feelings. But he just couldn’t.

Thus, Mikasa’s heart was broken in two. But then she began to notice Armin a bit more, Her and Eren’s childhood friend. They’ve been together like, forever. He joined the scouts just like her and Eren. and they’ve stuck together forever. Even in the darkest times.

Mikasa eventually began to notice how cute and sweet Armin was. She eventually began to get over her special feelings for Eren and replaced that spot for Armin.

But…..could Armin ever return Mikasa’s feelings?

Mikasa thought it over. It could be possible….couldn’t it? Armin isn’t really the type to be harsh towards someone nor try to break someone’s heart. If Mikasa told Armin…..or gave Armin some love, would he return her feelings?

Although, it’s quite likely that the thoughts of getting into a relationship or get into any romance hasn’t ever  crossed his mind.

Mikasa was a bit tired of keeping those feelings of hers locked deep inside her chest. She wanted to release them and express her love for Armin. So she silently stalked Armin for a while without him noticing her lurking shadow.

Armin kept on walking and walking and Mikasa noticed if Armin continued moving straight, by his right there would be a alley. Great - Mikasa would somehow get herself into that abandoned alley and confess to Armin there. It was a bit of a weird spot, but…..why not? Especially when she’s stalked Armin all this way. You have to have some guts to stalk the guy you're crushing on….

So Mikasa figured out how to quickly wind up in the alley way before Armin and just as he’s passing the ally….Mikasa grab’s Armin’s arm firmly and drags him in with her.

At first Armin let out a surprised gasp and almost squealed but when he got a look of the person who suddenly dragged him into the alley, his eyes were put to ease as he saw it was only Mikasa.

“Ah….Mikasa! What’s wrong? Why’d you drag Me here?” He asked as if suspecting there was something important going on. Possibly something involving Eren.

Mikasa looked towards her left and not a soul was in sight. It was as if the current area they were in suddenly became deserted. No matter.

Mikasa turned her attention back to Armin, who was was staring at her, waiting for an explanation.

“Armin….” started Mikasa and she began to approach Armin closer and closer until his feet began to back away and bump into the wall behind him - she was totally intruding on his personal space.

“U-Um….Mikasa?” Armin started in confusion to why Mikasa suddenly backed Armin up towards a wall.

She wanted this moment to be perfect. She wasn’t going to confess to Armin the way she confessed to Eren. when she confessed to Eren, she only used words. But there's that saying that action usually speaks louder than words. So maybe….

“Armin….” Mikasa repeated and then took both of Armin’s hands into her own.

“Eh--M-Mikasa…?”

“Eren is always being protected….this whole time, I thought he needed Me. that I had to be there and protect him Myself. But I can see he no longer needs Me. but….that’s when I realized there's you - I want to protect you Armin. From the titans. Eren’s always being protected by his comrades and by corporal Levi. but there's so many times your life has been in danger and I couldn’t be there for you. and….I just want to protect you.”

All of this was new and sudden to Armin’s ears. He felt like his head might begin to spin if he heard any more of this. Mikasa wants to protect him? Since when did Mikasa ever have these strong feelings or emotions for him? This was all surprising news to Armin. He opened his mouth to speak and was silent for a moment as if he was almost confused on how he could reply to that.

“Y-You want to protect Me? B-but…..no. don’t burden yourself with Me. I-I’ll just be a nuisance to all of you. E-Eren is much more important than Myself. What do you mean he doesn't need you anymore? O-of course he needs you! B-bunny's die when they get lonely!”

Armin was trying to imply that as soon as mikasa just starts leaving Eren alone, he’ll die of the loneliness without Mikasa.

“I-I’m not that important! J-just forget about Me. I-I’ll be fine outside the walls with My squad! ermm….I-I mean…”

Armin had just caught himself saying he’d be fine with his squad. But what squad? It was two days ago they last went on their expedition outside the walls and Armin’s entire squad was wiped out and killed. And eaten. He was lucky to even survive after that.

News of what happened to Armin’s squad and that he was the only one surviving reached everybody’s ears. The people in his squad had even became some of his closest friends he talked to at times. And it devastated Armin seeing them be killed and eaten like animals.This was the second time Armin had to witness being the only survivor left of one of his squads.

“Armin!” Mikasa’s grip on Armin’s hands tightened a little more, causing Armin to look her back up into the eyes.

“You are important! And your not a nuisance or a burden. Your smart strategies help save people's lives. You are important. More than you think you are. And you're special to Me.”

That was when Mikasa leaned her face close to Armin’s and gave Armin a peck on the lips. Her lips stayed on his for a couple seconds.

Armin’s eyes went wild big and his face began to get flustered and he was thinking….

Is Mikasa drunk or something?!!

Armin used his hands to gently push Mikasa away.

“M-Mikasa-! A-are you feeling alright? You don’t seem yourself.” Armin managed to spit out.

“I’m fine Armin. I just…..I want you to know how I feel. t-that….I’m in love with you.”

Mikasa tried to use the right words but this just made Armin’s head spin even more. Especially when she wrapped her arm’s around Armin’s waist and brought her body closer to his and began kissing his lips romantically.

Armin’s eyes shot out big and his face got all red and flustered.

This was shocking to Armin. The possibility of Mikasa having feelings for him never even crossed his smart mind. How was he not able to tell? He was almost positive that something was mentally wrong with Mikasa.

But the way Mikasa was kissing him….the way she had her arms wrapped around him with so much warmth began to melt his heart and he suddenly found himself leaving things be and not doing anything about what was strangely happening right now.

For some moments Mikasa would just stand there with Armin, crowded against the wall with him and she was be tasting Armin’s soft lips with her own and melt Armin more and more. Armin eventually began to enjoy this and kiss back Mikasa’s lips. They were warm.

Armin felt like his heart would bang out of his chest. This was all so unexpected. He didn’t expect Mikasa to confess these feelings to him nor even kiss him like this. The kiss was especially what was shocking and surprising Armin the most.

They would kiss and kiss…..gently connecting and tasting each others soft, soft lips. Until Armin felt like he needed some space and air to breathe. All of this excitement was overwhelming for the blonde.

He slowly removed his lips from Mikasa and in a very, very quiet voice said.

“I...I think I should have some air.”

So Mikasa stepped back plenty from Armin. She saw his back press against the wall and saw him trying to catch his breath. She didn’t really even go far with him much at all. Unless she didn’t know it.

“D-Did I go too far…?” she began to worry.

“N-No. it’s just….this is all so overwhelming for Me. I...I didn’t realize…..that you had these feelings for Me.”

Armin then glanced up at Mikasa while blushing a little. He had no clue? How could he be so clueless?

“So….Armin? What…..well,....what's your thoughts on this?” Mikasa wanted to know if Armin would return the same feelings to her. He never pushed away….and he seemed to have even kissed Mikasa back. But…..?

Armin fell silent and altered his eyes for a moment as he tried to think up of a answer.

“W-Well…..uh…..” he stuttered for a moment.

“The kiss…..wasn’t all that bad. so….I guess we could give it  a shot.” Armin then returned his gaze back to Mikasa’s. And Mikasa gave  a smile. He didn’t say no. he was very overwhelmed and surprised by this. But he said it would be worth a shot.

On that day, Mikasa’s heart grew bigger. It was no longer broken in half. Armin had filled the gap that Eren had created and Armin had a new place for Mikasa’s life. And she swore that she will never abandon or leave Armin ever.
