We made it back to my apartment quite quickly considering all the traffic during the time of day.

When I opened the front door the first thing I saw was Padmé sitting on my couch looking out the window, waiting for me.

"Verena, finally. I was beginning to think you'd never show." She flashed a smile my direction and made her way towards me.

I matched her smile with one of my own and embraced her warmly.

"To what do I owe this surprise?"

"There will be a big meeting on Naboo in two days."

"On what?" I enquired.

"No one knows, but I was wondering if you wanted to go with me."

"Actually Anakin and I have a little detour to make."

"Oh really? Where are you going?" She asked suggestively.

"Some unknown planet in the outer rim."

"Oh." Was all she said, a confused look gracing her features.

"Well you should probably get going on that if you don't want to miss the meeting."

"I was just going to pack, now I guess I should bring a few more dresses with me." I joked lightly.

Padmé giggled and nodded her head. "That would be most appropriate, I must bid you adue, I'm afraid I have people to meet." She added a posh accent and inclined her head to seem sophisticated for humor.

She kept the charade up until she reached the door and turned sharply so her skirts made a whooshing sound behind her.

I laughed to myself at her eccentricity. She was a bit of an oddball underneath the fancy Senator mask.

"Has she always been like that?" Anakin asked me, his eyes wide.

I laughed at his expression and nodded, "Believe it or not, she's the weird one between us." I explained.

"I definitely don't believe that" Anakin's eyebrow raised.

"Clearly you don't know either of us well enough then, Mr. Skywalker." I gave him an unimpressed look for humor.

He cracked a grin, "Well I would love to get to know you better, Miss. Leoet. You just seem so set on keeping up a wall between us."

I blushed profusely at his confrontation.

"I am not putting up a wall!" I defended, my cheeks still red with embarrassment.

He began walking closer to me, I backed up a step, afraid of his intentions.

He got to me faster than I could back away and he lifted my chin with his bent index finger so I was looking at his blue eyes.

"You are right now." He replied.

My heart was racing a mile a minute and all I could think about was reigning in my self control enough to stop myself from closing the small gap between our lips.

As if he had read my mind, his eyes flicked to my lips and then returned back to my eyes so fast I almost didn't catch the movement.

I realized his intentions mirrored my own fantasies, but instead of acting on them, I was forced to intervene.

"Anakin, w-we can't." I explained while diverting my eyes from his gaze.

He forced me to look at him again, guiding my chin even closer to his than it was previously.

"Yes we can." Was all he said as he closed the gap between us and connected his lips to mine.

Two updates in 3 days? What?? Sorry to leave y'all on a cliffhanger(and sorry it's so short), but I'm pumping out the chapters really quickly and I've been feeling quite inspired, so keep an eye out for updates! And please vote or comment so I know you guys want more! Thank you, I love you all:)
