The Sun
14:09, 18 September 2022~ All About the Beast ~
I stood by the waves, early in the morning wondering what Boyoung might be thinking about me. I should have been more careful when she was behaving differently during the night. But she looked so gorgeous that my senses had given up. She had charmed me with her actions, and I couldn't hold myself back.
I thought I might have offended her again and she might want to run away from me. I had kept a note beside the bed, but I wasn't sure if she would forgive me. I watched the sun as it slowly came up.
The sun lights up this world and gives hope and new life. But if you go too close, its brightness can make you blind, it can burn you, just like my feelings for Boyoung. I had lost my senses and I was burning in her love.
"Mr. Seo? " I heard her voice and immediately turned around.
I could tell that she was fresh out of the shower. Her hair was still wet and she smelled of strawberries.
"Hi, good morning," I said, avoiding eye contact with her. She looked hesitant too.
"Good morning, why are you standing here?" she asked.
"Nothing, I was just watching the sun," I said.
"Hmm..." she said looking around as if she wanted to say something but she couldn't find a way to speak up.
I knew she might want to talk about what happened that night.
"About last night," I said nervously. "I am..."
"What happened? You wrote I might be disgusted, did I do anything funny?" she asked looking away from me.
"You... don't remember?"
"Nothing, nothing at all...what did I do?" she asked chuckling nervously.
"You were laughing a lot and not sleeping," I said staring blankly at her.
"Oh," she forced a laugh.
It was too obvious that she was lying. But why would she do that? If she was angry at me she could have simply fought with me. Maybe she was so disgusted that she didn't want to talk about it. I felt bad that she didn't even try to clarify. It wasn't her fault that she was drunk.
"When are we going back?" she asked next.
I was sure that she was ashamed of what happened between us. She didn't want to stay with me any longer.
"Why are you asking?" I questioned her.
"Umm, I was wondering about our jobs?" she said.
I gritted my teeth because she was simply making excuses to leave. Jobs could wait! I would have apologized if she had told me that she was upset with what I did, but she wasn't ready to give me a chance.
"I have no plans to go back anytime soon," I said looking away. I wasn't going to let her win.
"What? Why not?" she asked.
"I like it here, and since you're my wife you have to stay here with me," I said which annoyed her.
"What's wrong with you all of a sudden? You were fine yesterday," she remarked. She might have been offended that I wasn't following what she wanted.
"Nothing honey," I said. "just behave like a good wife and stay here,"
"Woah! Can you shut up?" she got agitated.
I was doing everything just to keep her close to me, but I didn't know how to do it properly since I had already messed up a lot of things. She was visibly frustrated at the way I behaved but I knew she wouldn't listen to me if I was soft with her.
"I'm hungry let's go," I said and walked away from her before I could get any ruder.
"Wait, what do you mean by good wife?" she shouted and followed me. "Wait!"
I turned around and glared at her.
"I don't know... dress up well and go shopping," I shrugged.
She rolled her eyes and bit her lip as if she was cursing me under her breath.
"You think that's what a good wife does?" she asked.
I didn't mean to offend her. I was just suggesting to her what wives usually do on a honeymoon. Moreover, she was a fashion designer, she must love doing all that. But she took it the wrong way and started fighting.
"I didn't mean it that way," I said.
"I know what you meant! You are a male chauvinist!" she accused.
"Hey!" I objected.
"You're going to regret that," she said and walked away.
As always, she ended up winning the argument somehow.
She didn't help me in preparing lunch. She said she was busy with skincare. I cooked for her and gave her the food in her room. She wasn't interested in even looking at me. I was also not interested in her when she couldn't even acknowledge what happened between us.
Anyway, Mr. Smith had sent a car for me. It was a two-seater blue Lamborghini Aventador. I was so excited to drive it that I finished the food as quickly as possible. I took a shower and wore my favorite black shirt and jeans with a red jacket. I grabbed the keys and went straight to the car.
"Boyoung!" I called out to her, she was taking too much time to get ready. She insisted she would come with me even when she wasn't talking to me properly. Of course, she couldn't resist the beautiful car either.
I waited for her, walked around the car, and went inside to check on her multiple times but she had locked the door. She kept telling me she'd be there in five minutes but she had a bad sense of timing.
She finally came out after an hour of waiting. But when I saw her, my jaws dropped. She wore black leather pants, a maroon crop top that showed her alluring belly button, and a black leather jacket on top of it. Her hair was curled, and she wore deep red lipstick and brown sunglasses.
I couldn't believe it was her until she was standing right in front of me. I kept watching her in awe.
"What?" she asked and took off her sunglasses. She looked gorgeous in the way she decorated her eyes with eyeliner and shimmer.
"Umm," I stammered.
"Let's go, you wanted to drive, I want to shop," she said putting her shades back and opening the door of the car.
"Okay," I said becoming suspicious of her.
We got into the car and I started driving. It was smooth and thrilling to drive it through the island. I could notice that all eyes were on us when we passed them. Boyoung was looking outside the window and enjoying the view. It was tough to believe that I had a gorgeous car and a hot girl sitting next to me, who was my wife.
"Why did you dress up like that?" I asked as she darted her eyes at me.
"Why? Didn't you say you wanted me to dress up like a good wife?" she said putting her shades down.
"Well, I didn't expect so much," I remarked.
"Excuse me? I am a former model and fashion designer!" she said smirking at me.
And she was the best indeed. I chuckled softly and continued driving. Even if she was doing it because she was annoyed at me, I liked that side of her.
I wasn't expecting a proper market on the island. It was a posh area with the world's top brands because only an elite group of people could afford to stay on the island.
"Perfect!" Boyoung exclaimed as she got down from the car.
She didn't wait for me and walked inside one of the shops. I simply followed her. A lady in the shop immediately went to help her. I again followed them as she picked some dresses and took them to the changing room.
"I will wait in the car," I said before she went inside.
"No, be a good husband and sit here," she said.
So she was trying to get back at me! I calmed my nerves and sat on a sofa outside the changing room while she kept changing into different clothes and showing them to me.
"Looks good," that was my reaction to almost everything that she picked.
"I'll take it," she said for each of those dresses and handed it over to the lady who was helping her. After selecting almost ten dresses she went to the billing counter.
"Give me your card," she said extending her hand toward me.
"Why? you have your own," I said rolling my eyes at her.
"Mm," she smiled at me and slid her hand inside my jacket's pocket. "But you're my husband honey," she said and took out my wallet.
"What is wrong-" I said a little louder and saw all eyes on us so I had to stop. I forced a smile and let her take the card.
She smirked and got her dresses packed. The worst part was that she handed it over to me and asked me to carry it for her while she wanted to visit another shop.
"Are you kidding me? I can't carry your shopping bags," I said looking away.
"But why?" she asked raising her brow.
"Because I'm the chairman of AER group!" I said sighing heavily.
"And I'm his wife," she said smirking at me.
I knew what she was trying to do. She wanted me to get hit by the stone which I threw in the water. But she was underestimating me.
"Okay, wait a minute," I said and went back to the billing counter.
I talked to the shop owner and paid him enough to lend me five men among their staff to help my 'wife' with her shopping. I brought them outside and made them carry the packets. Boyoung was shocked.
"Happy?" I asked smiling at her.
She took a deep breath and glared at me before angrily moving to the next shop. Then we went into a loop. She would stop at every shop, and pick dresses, accessories, bags, makeup, and whatnot. The dress count kept increasing in every shop. Ten to fifteen to twenty and so on.
The five helpers weren't enough to carry the bags so I had to hire more from every shop. She had gone insane.
"Can you just stop?" I asked before she started walking towards another shop. I could see that the helpers weren't able to hold on to the packets well.
"Why? I am just doing what you wanted me to do," she said with a shrug.
"Fine, I am sorry..." I apologized immediately because that is what she wanted and I genuinely regretted it.
"Huh," she sighed and folded her arms looking away from me.
All the helpers were watching us but she had no concern. I couldn't even understand what I had to do.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked gritting my teeth.
"I don't know, maybe... be a good husband somehow," she said rolling her eyes.
"Fine, I will carry your bags and... take you on a date or something, is that okay?" I asked because I honestly had no idea what else I could do.
"Umm, but I want you to talk to me, real talk," she said.
I wasn't ready to have the 'real' talk that she referred to. I knew she wanted to intimidate me into believing that I was doing everything the wrong way. But I didn't have any other option but to agree with her.
"Fine," I said and went to the helpers to take a few bags from them.
"Deal," she nodded and walked towards the car. I sighed and carried her things.
I planned a date for her in the costliest resort on that island. It was far from our villa so I booked a private cottage for us because she wanted to get dressed there. I changed into a brown suit and gelled my hair for the dinner. As usual, she was taking forever to get ready. I went to check the venue by that time.
She wanted it to be a public place, so I couldn't go for private seating. She had become so fussy all of a sudden that I almost regretted being rude to her in the morning. I had booked a table for two in the restaurant. It was a luxurious hall decorated with chandeliers and golden dim lights.
I was talking to the manager about how he manages his resort's gardens, and that's when I heard the chatter in the hall suddenly stop. Everyone went quiet. The manager looked towards the entrance and I did the same.
I was stunned to find Boyoung standing there. She was dressed in a sleek red strapless gown with a large slit revealing her leg. Her hair was tied up in a bun. Curly locks fell on her glittering face. She wore blood red lipstick which made me want to kiss her right then. She looked no less than an angel straight from heaven.
"She's such a beauty," I heard the crowd chatter amongst themselves.
While she walked toward me I was mesmerized by how beautiful she was. But a thought crossed my mind for the first time. Did I deserve her in my life? She was a perfect girl, she could have had someone as good as her. But I tied her to myself, a beast.
"Mr. Seo?" she asked waving her hands at me. "What happened?" she asked.
"Ah," I cleared my throat. "nothing, you look beautiful," I said.
She smirked as her cheeks turned red. I guided her to our table and she sat across. I felt nervous for some reason. All the eyes were on her and I thought I was putting her down. I wasn't good enough for her.
"Nice place," she said.
I simply nodded. "What did you want to talk about?" I asked.
"What is wrong with you these days?" she asked staring right into my eyes.
"I am absolutely fine, this is the real me," I said.
"Huh, seriously? So you've just given up to the beast you think you are?" She asked.
She wasn't wrong. I had given up to the beast and she was responsible for it.
"I couldn't avoid it, you brought my emotions back and you know that I cannot control them!" I accused her.
"You can control them! You just think you cannot!" She said.
"Ah" I sighed. "I've told you before. I cannot decide what's right or wrong when I'm driven by emotions,"
"Then why did you stop last night because I was drunk?" she said forgetting that she had lied to me in the morning.
"So you remember what happened last night?" I asked calmly because I already knew.
"Umm," she seemed nervous because she had not planned to say it. "Yes, I didn't tell you in the morning because-"
"Because you were ashamed of what happened," I completed for her.
"What? No, I wasn't ashamed of it, I just-"
"You just didn't want to talk about it because you were disgusted," I completed for her again.
"Ya! I can speak for myself," she frowned and spoke louder.
I thought we would get into another fight soon. But a man suddenly came to our table with his guitar. I looked up at him. He was the singer who was performing for guests.
"Boyoung?" He said with his eyes wide open.
"Oh my God! Tae ho?" She got up from her chair.
"So nice to see you after so long!" He said.
"Same here! how have you been?" She asked.
I was clenching my fists but I couldn't do anything.
"Ah, just fine... you look gorgeous! What are you doing here?" He asked and looked at me. "Is he your date?"
He must have been living under a shell for not knowing who I was and that Boyoung was my wife.
"Umm," Boyoung rolled her eyes at me. "No, he's just my boss," she said while I frowned at her.
"Oh, nice to meet you, sir, do you mind if I took her with me on stage?" He asked. I was amazed at his audacity.
I opened my mouth to scold him away but Boyoung interrupted me.
"Of course, he doesn't mind, let's go," she said and that man extended his hand to hold hers.
I was almost getting up from my chair wanting to hit him. But something at the back of my mind kept me from losing control. I saw her go up to the stage and dance while he played the guitar and sang. The crowd cheered for her.
I was fuming with anger for that man. I wanted to hit him. But then I saw her face. She looked very happy. Everyone was clapping for her and she was laughing. I started panicking as my hands felt cold. The realization that I might have simply stolen her happiness by forcing her to marry me was making me impatient.
My inability to understand what was wrong and where to put an end to my feelings had caused more pain to Boyoung than me. She deserved so much better than a Beast. My legs were shaking and my head was spinning. I was getting furious.
No, there was no way I could be wrong about something! Whatever I did was for her good. Yes, I wanted to keep her close to me, but only because I couldn't see anyone harm her. She was delicate like my blue roses. I only wanted to protect her. What if that man was trying to harm her? What if he had bad intentions? I needed to save her.
I went up on the stage and grabbed Tae Ho's arm. He stopped singing.
"Let's talk outside," I said forcing a smile.
"Mr. Seo, what are you doing?" Boyoung asked staring at me.
"I just want to talk to your old friend, what's the problem?" I asked.
"But-"
"It's okay, let's go," Tae ho interrupted and gestured to the other performers to continue the show.
I took him outside in the garden where there was no one else. Boyoung followed us.
"Mr. Seo please calm down," she said.
"Honey, I am calm," I said smiling at her.
It was tough not to let my anger overpower me, but I had some other plan to deal with the situation.
"Listen, Mr. Tae Ho..." I said. He was confused about the whole situation.
I took out my wallet and grabbed all the cash that I had.
"Take this, it is much more than what you were getting paid to perform here," I said.
"But why are you giving this to me?" he asked.
Boyoung was looking at both of us anxiously.
"Take the money and leave this island right now, don't ever talk to Boyoung again," I commanded.
"What?" he asked as his jaws dropped.
"Mr. Seo, what are you doing?" Boyoung objected yelling at me.
I shushed her and she tried to take the money away from me but her friend interrupted.
"Fine," he said. "I don't mind getting some money," He immediately took it and didn't even look back before walking away.
Boyoung was stunned at the way he reacted. I smirked because my judgment was right again. He had no morals, he just wanted money.
"Are you insane? You paid a man to stay away from me?" Boyoung shouted glaring at me.
"You saw him, he only cared about the money..." I explained.
"Who doesn't care about money? He was just a friend of mine!" she held her head and sighed in frustration.
"I was just trying to protect you," I said.
"No! You don't trust me!" she replied.
"I trust you, but I didn't trust that man," I said.
"No!" she said pointing her finger at me as she walked closer to me. "You don't trust anyone, you only control people,"
She made me doubt myself again. I had never doubted her, but I never trusted anyone around her. She was too precious for me. But was I hurting her instead? I didn't know... I couldn't see, I was blinded.
I felt my vision blurring out. I turned around and started walking away from her. She was calling out to me and trying to stop me but I didn't listen. I entered the cottage and took off my coat because I was sweating. I collapsed on the couch and loosened my tie as I felt choked. I hated the conflict I had in my mind.
"Mr. Seo!" she shouted as she walked inside and charged toward me. I stood up and tried to put myself together.
"What do you want now?" I asked.
"Why did you leave like that?" she yelled at me
"Huh," I chuckled sarcastically. "So you want to keep fighting?" I asked.
"I want answers!" she said. "Do you hate me?"
I shut my eyes and walked away from her. I stood near a window to get some fresh air. I felt like I couldn't breathe properly. She came to me and turned me around to face her. She grabbed my arms tightly.
"I am talking to you, what is wrong with you these days?" she asked.
"What is wrong with you? You didn't even tell your friend that I am your husband?"
"Huh, I thought our marriage was just a deal, right?" she smirked.
"It wasn't," I said putting her hands off my arms.
"Then what was it for you?"
"I married you because I wanted to protect you," I said trying to make her understand but she seemed to be too angry.
"No! You just wanted to possess me, like a showpiece," she accused.
I grabbed her arms and pulled her towards me. Even if it looked like that to her, what she said wasn't true.
"That's not true!" I shouted.
"Then? Did you want to take revenge?"
"Shut up!" I said glaring at her.
"I won't! You married me because you hated me right? You wanted to teach me a lesson because I left you," she said.
"Boyoung!" I shouted and pushed her against the wall next to the window. "I told you to shut up!"
"I said, I won't. All of this is just your revenge plan, isn't it?"
I pursed my lips and took a deep breath. I kept her pinned against my body and grabbed her cheeks in my hands before sealing her mouth with my lips.
It was the wrong time to do that but I wasn't in my senses. I kissed her roughly on the lips while she grabbed my shirt. She didn't respond to the kiss which was expected.
"Shhh!" I said breaking apart. "Wouldn't you feel bad if you saw me with another woman?" I asked.
She openened her mouth to say something but I put my palm over her lips. I wanted her to listen. I could notice how the expression in her eyes changed.
"Why are you angry at me? Because I am possessive of you?" I asked her. "Yes, I am... so what?"
She shook her head and tried to free her mouth from my grip but I was too strong for her.
"My only fault is that-" I was afraid to say it because that was the worst time to mention it, but she had left me with no other option. "that I love you," I said.
She frowned at me while her eyes started welling up. I slowly took my hand off her mouth and she pursed her lips. She looked away and tried to hold her tears.
"Love?" she said looking back at me. "Do you even know what love means?" she asked.
"Maybe I don't know, but you are not an expert either!" I argued.
I could see frustration and anxiousness in her eyes.
"If you love me then, why! Just why are you so harsh?" she clenched her jaws.
I didn't know how to respond to that. She looked more sad than angry. I had been harsh on her because I thought she wouldn't listen to anything otherwise. It was unfortunate that I didn't know how to handle her with care.
"Teach me then," I replied. "Teach me how to be gentle," I argued.
"How can I teach a beast?" She replied angrily.
I cupped her cheeks and brought her face closer to me. She flinched but didn't look away.
"Then tame me," I whispered.
She crossed her brows in confusion. A tear rolled down her eyes. We didn't speak for a while, maybe she was thinking about something. I wondered if what I said made her hate me even more. She put my hands away from her face and spoke after some time.
"We are going back tomorrow," she announced.
"No! I don't want to," I objected.
She shook her head and patted my cheek.
"It wasn't an offer," she smirked and walked away.
It was strange, sometimes she acted like me and I couldn't think of a way to overpower her. She didn't come out of her room that night. I was confused if she understood anything that I wanted to say. My ways were not ideal but I just wanted to tell her that I loved her and that I needed her help to become a better person. I sat on the couch and waited for her but I soon fell asleep.
The next day we prepared to head back to Korea. She wasn't talking to me much. I knew she was upset about the last night. It was sad that because of me, we never got a chance to talk about all the things that were left unsaid.
I impatiently waited for her to talk to me, but she didn't. Even for the entire time that we were on the flight. Unlike other days, I couldn't gather the courage to initiate a conversation. I felt guilty about what I did with her friend. It was an impulsive decision and I regretted it.
I shouldn't have confessed my love for her at the wrong time, I regretted that too. Above all, I was afraid that I had taken away her happiness by marrying her and I was still incapable of letting her go.
We reached the castle late in the night. I went to my room and took a shower before changing into my night clothes. I kept thinking if Boyoung would ever talk to me again. That's when I heard a knock on my door.
"It's open," I said.
I was shocked to see her walk into the room in her nightdress. I kept watching her as she came in and sat on my bed.
"What?" she asked.
"Why are you in my room?" I asked.
"I'm your wife, I will sleep here," she said as if it was obvious.
"Huh, you know it's tough for me to..." I said trying to warn her that it wasn't a good idea to sleep next to me in bed.
"You have good control, I've seen it..." she said looking away.
"Fine," I was annoyed because it was tough to control myself when she was close to me.
"Oh," she shouted and went towards the window. "my rose pant is almost dead, haven't you been taking care of it?" she asked taking the pot in her hand. I had kept the plant in my room because it reminded me of her.
"Yes, it's almost dead because you left," I said sadly recalling the day when she had suddenly left me and the plant.
She sighed and looked away. I could see guilt in her eyes.
"I'll fix it," she said.
"It's tough to bring it back to life now," I warned her.
"I will do it, no matter how difficult it is," she smiled and kept the pot back.
I was hopeful but clueless about what she had planned to do.
That night we had dinner and went to sleep. It was distracting to have her next to me in bed. I wanted to hold her and sleep. But I couldn't do it. I turned my face to the other side and pretended that she wasn't there. The struggle to ensure I wasn't getting close to her by mistake kept me awake the entire night. I slept very late and got up in the afternoon.
I couldn't recognize my room. She had replaced all my costliest furniture with simpler ones. Every showpiece which was the best in the world was gone. I was panicking. She had kept some of her things in the room. No matter how much I wanted her to be with me, it was uncomfortable to share my room with someone else for the first time.
I went out and searched for her. One of the helpers informed me that she had gone to the gym area. I was confused about why she would do that. I went there and found her arranging a few things.
"Ya! What have you done to my room?" I asked.
She turned around and smiled at me.
"You're up!" she said. "I realized that I have a lot of power now, that I'm your wife..." she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Everyone follows me blindly, so I thought I should make some changes," she said.
"Huh, what are you trying to do?"
She came to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Taming you," she said smiling.
"And how would you do that?" I asked.
"You will see," she said moving away from me. "I want you to let your emotions flow and then learn how to control them..."
"It's impossible, the only way I can control myself is by getting rid of all strong emotions," I reminded her.
"No, I know you can handle yourself like any other human being," she kept saying the same thing.
"How will you make it happen?"
"Come here in the gym tonight after office, I'll show you," she said.
I waited the whole day just to know what she had planned. She had got her things shifted back to her cabin in Belle House. She didn't meet me the whole day and went home before I did. I got back home and changed into a T-shirt and jeans before going to the gym area. She was waiting for me there. I noticed a punching bag hanging in the middle of the room.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Well, it's a punching bag, so I want you to punch it," she said smiling at me.
"Huh," I chuckled. "How is it going to help?" I asked.
"Do it once, with all the power you have," she said moving away.
I had no idea what she had in her mind. I took my position to punch the bag. It wasn't a big deal for me.
"Punch it as hard as you can, imagine it is someone who touched me," she said.
"Huh!" I sighed, "Seriously?" I gritted my teeth and gathered all the strength I had.
I took a step back before rolling my hand in a fist and swinging it to hit the bag with full force. As expected, the bag broke away from the chain and got thrown to the end of the room.
I glanced at Boyoung who raised her brow and nodded.
"Impressive," she said and picked another bag that was kept on her side. She went and latched it on the chain which was hanging.
"Do it again, Imagine this is a man who touched me with bad intentions. But try to use less force," she said.
"It's impossible," I said.
"Try it," she said and moved away.
I took a deep breath and made a fist again. I might have been able to use lesser strength but the moment I imagined the bag to be someone who touched her wrongfully, I lost my calm. I punched the bag and it broke off from the chain once again.
"Huh!" I sighed. "I told you," I said looking at her.
She nodded very calmly as if she had expected that to happen. She picked another punching bag and latched it again to the chain.
"Try it again, but-" she said taking a few steps back from the punching bag. "I will stand here," she said.
I was confused. She wasn't too far from the bag and was in line with it.
"No way! If I hit it too hard," I objected but she interrupted.
"Yes, if you hit it too hard, I'll get hit too," she said taking a deep breath.
"Are you out of your mind? It is dangerous!" I panicked.
"I trust you," she said.
"Boyoung you got to be kidding me!" I said.
"No" she shook her head.
I was irritated by how stubborn she was. She wasn't moving away and I was anxious that I might hit her.
"Imagine how much you hate someone when they try to get close to me, put all your anger together, and hit the bag," she kept insisting.
I was fuming with anger. I didn't want to follow her but she wasn't stopping. I knew it was foolishness to do that. We didn't know if it would work or end up in disaster.
"Do it!" she said again.
I forced myself to make a fist but I stared at the bag blankly. I couldn't hit it when I saw Boyoung standing so close to it.
"You can do it, I know..." she said.
I gasped for air and controlled my reflexes. I could never hurt her. She was above everything else. I hit the punching bag trying my best not to use too much force. I heard a loud sound and felt I had failed my attempt. I shut my eyes in terror of witnessing a hurt Boyoung fall on the floor.
But when I opened them, I saw that the bag was swinging at its place and it hadn't gone close to Boyoung.
"Ah!" I heaved a sigh of relief and rushed to her. "Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes," she said smiling at me. "I told you,"
"Hmm," I said pulling her into a hug. "I was so scared,"
Surprisingly she hugged me back.
"I wasn't," she said.
I looked down at her and she popped her head up to face me.
"If we keep practicing this way, you will slowly overcome all your extreme reactions, trust me..." she said.
I was speechless at how she was trying to make me learn. Nobody had ever made me realize that I had the power to control myself.
"Is it necessary to do it this way?" I asked cupping her cheek.
"You asked me to tame you and taming needs a bait," she said smiling at me.
"So... you're being my bait?" I asked smirking at her.
"Hmm," she nodded.
I couldn't help but laugh. She was different from others and special to me. That's why I loved her so much. Honestly, she was the only one who never left me, even when she saw the beast in me.
"So... are we friends now?" I asked raising a brow. "Have you forgiven me?"
"Not for everything, but we can be friends..." she chuckled.
I was more than happy to have some relief in our relationship. We practiced the same thing every day. Slowly after a few weeks, I didn't need her to stand behind the punching bag. I was able to punch it with controlled force even when she wasn't there. She was happy with the improvement. Whenever I felt angry I would count to ten and control my nerves the same way I did with the punching bag.
That practice made me calmer. There was no need to repress my emotions any longer. I was able to keep them under control like others. Boyoung had started smiling more often when she was around me. The only problem she still faced was that her father was upset with her. But I promised her that I will make things better.
There were many unsaid things, but she knew I was sorry for my actions. Above all, she knew I loved her and she was slowly accepting it. But I wanted to do something special for her and apologize to her.
I planned to take her to my home where I used to live with my father. I had never taken anyone there. She readily agreed to come with me and it was the happiest day of my life. I wore whatever I found first, a white shirt and blue jeans. But I remember how well she had dressed in a chic black shirt and a red skirt.
My old house was a small bungalow in the countryside. There was a verandah on the outside where I used to play. It was very old so I had to do some renovations but it was always empty. I was visiting there after a long time. I had not planned that I would ever bring a girl to that place so it wasn't kept very well.
"It feels so homely here," Boyoung said as she walked inside. There was a huge hall but it was mostly empty. There was a thick mattress that was kept next to a glass wall on one side. Thankfully I had covered it with a soft bedsheet and some pillows so it could qualify for a bed.
"I am sorry this is the only place to sit, I moved all the furniture to the store room," I said.
"It's okay," she smiled and sat down on the bed.
I took a seat next to her and admired how beautiful she was. Not just by face, but she was beautiful at heart.
"I used to like watching the garden outside," I said. "that's why we have a glass wall here,"
"Amazing," she said. "What did you do here?" she asked.
"This was my favorite place to sit and relax," I said.
She was no less than an angel to me. I knew I still had to learn a lot but she made me believe that I could become normal. I wanted nothing more than to make her happy.
"I'm sorry that because of me your relation with your father and uncle got strained," I apologized.
"It's okay, that might have happened even if I married that monster Shi Woo!" she said.
"I promise, that I will become a better person for you," I said. I was determined to make everything right between us.
She smiled and was about to say something but I got distracted by a sound.
It was thunder. My heart skipped a beat. We were far away from the city. I didn't have my medicines with me.
"Mr. Seo are you okay?" she asked calmly but there was chaos in my mind.
"Yes!" I said with my voice shivering. I looked outside and I could see dark clouds gathering above us.
I started breathing heavily as the memories of my past rushed back to me. I was scared that it would make all my efforts go waste. I tried to stop thinking about it but it only made it worse.
"Wait, I'll give you some water," she said and went to get a bottle from her suitcase. By that time I had started shivering. The more I tried to stay calm and ignore the rain, the worse my situation got.
I watched the rain outside from the corner of my eyes. It was getting heavier with every passing second. Just like those days when I would cry and shout for help but neither the rain stopped nor did I get any help.
"Boyoung!" I called out to her as she gave me some water. It wasn't of much use. I grabbed her tightly in nervousness. "I don't know what to do," I said.
"It's okay! I'm here," she said hugging me.
I was having a panic attack, worse than in old times. I was trying too hard not to let it happen.
"Help me," I fell short of breath. I could hear her heart beating faster than ever when she was holding me close to her chest.
"Yes, I'm here to help you, it's going to be fine," she said patting me on the back.
"I don't want to..." I said with my vision blurring out. "I don't want to lose you again..." I passed out before I could say anything else.
The next thing I remembered was waking up in the middle of the night. I was lying flat on the bed and Boyoung was sitting next to me. She had lit up some dim lights in the room. She flinched as soon as she saw me awake.
"Are you okay?" she asked. "have some food," she said.
"Where did you get food from?" I asked in a low voice. I was still half awake.
"I had an umbrella, I went out and got a few things. Wait here," she said and went to the kitchen.
I managed to pull myself up and sit. I was annoyed and frustrated. It was still raining outside. I couldn't look at it. I shut my ears with my hands and pulled my knees close to my chest.
"WHY!" I said to myself helplessly trying to control my thoughts which kept going back to the past. I thought about how hard Boyoung was working to get things better for me. But I still couldn't do anything about it. She didn't deserve so much pain. I couldn't disappoint her again.
I was anxious but I stood up with my shivering body. It was raining heavily outside but I decided to go out. I had no confidence but I wanted to do it for her.
My hands froze when I turned the knob of the door but I kept moving. I tried to take a deep breath but my chest felt heavy. As soon as I opened the door, I saw a gruesome heavy rain pouring outside the verandah.
"AAH!" I shouted as it looked strikingly similar to what I had been running away from. It all came back to me, how scared and helpless I had felt during those days. I still tried to step out on the verandah but my legs gave up and I fell to the floor. I had gone out in the rain once when I was furious at the man who had tried to harm Boyoung. But I could never do it willingly.
"OPPA!" I heard her voice as she came running to me. I didn't remember how but she picked me up and carried me back to the bed.
"Let me go, Boyoung..." I said feeling dizzy.
"What were you trying to do? Why were you going out?" she shouted.
"I want to get rid of this!" I said gasping for air. "You don't deserve a weak man like me,"
"Oppa!" she said holding my face. "You're not weak," she said.
"Run away!" I said as I started sweating. "You will never be happy with me," I said gulping in. My heart was racing.
"No!" she said but I put her hands away.
"Go, you deserve much better..." my eyes were welling up but I couldn't focus on anything.
"Oppa! Stop it," she said sternly and stood up. "Come with me,"
I looked up at her unaware of what she was talking about. She grabbed my arm and helped me to stand up.
"Boyoung!"
She didn't listen to me and took me along with her towards the door. I started getting impatient. I didn't want to fall weaker in front of her again. She opened the door and I shut my eyes immediately. I wanted to cover my ears but she held both my hands in hers.
"Boyoung don't do this," I requested.
"Oppa, you have to trust me," she said and faced me. She took small steps back and reached the verandah taking me along with her.
"Please," I gasped but she kept stepping outside.
"Keep looking at me, and just walk...." she said.
I just followed what she said and slowly got out in the rain. But as soon as I realized that both of us were getting drenched, I felt as if I was taken back in time.
"Help me!" I shouted and grabbed Boyoung by her shoulders. "I am chained!" I screamed and tried to run away but she held me.
"Oppa look at me!"
"No! I am chained!! I need to get out of her, please! help me!" I shouted impatiently. I didn't know where I was or what I was doing.
She immediately pulled me into a tight hug. Surprisingly I didn't feel choked because of it. My legs stopped shivering and I was able to hold myself up on the ground.
"Get the chains out of me," I kept speaking in a low voice while trying to bring myself back to reality.
"I'm here to free you," she said in a soft voice. It felt as if that was all I needed.
She looked up at me and took my face in her hands.
"Was it painful, to be trapped for so long?" she asked.
Her words went straight to my heart. Tears started rolling down my eyes.
"Yes..." I cried. "It was painful,"
"It's okay, but it's over now... you are free," she said.
I went numb. I was slowly forgetting about the rain and my past. She had that power over me.
"But, it pains me more to see you suffer," I said.
She smiled and shook her head.
"Oppa... I am not suffering" she said smiling through the rain which drenched her face."I love you,"
I was shocked at what she said. It was the most unexpected thing. I couldn't speak.
"Even if you want to run away right now and even if you fail a hundred times..." she said. "I will still love you..."
I was at a loss for words. I felt as if something heavy was lifted off my chest. Someone had accepted me for the way I was.
She stood on her toes and pulled my face towards her.
"Rain isn't a big deal when we are in it together..." she said before placing her lips on mine.
I heard the splashing water, the thunder, and the wild wind. But her love was pouring stronger than the rain. My lips were frozen but eventually, I gave in. She held my jaws with both her hands while I wrapped my arms around her waist. She opened her mouth and kissed me deeper being immersed in the rain. I responded meekly because I still had some effect of the trauma in my mind.
She broke the kiss and slowly pulled me along with her inside the house. I was confused but I simply followed her. She made me sit on the bed. Our clothes were soaked and dripping wet. She asked me to wait and went to the fireplace to light up some wood. I kept my mind focused on her so it was easier to overcome my trauma.
She came back and sat in front of me. Her eyes were shining and she looked very calm. But I was amazed when she suddenly started to unbutton my shirt.
"What are you doing?" I asked stopping her hand.
She smiled and continued to open all the buttons till the last one. I tried to stop her again but she took the wet shirt off my body.
"Boyoung!" I tried to bring her back to her senses.
She held my face gently and pecked me on the lips once.
"I want us to have only good memories of tonight," she whispered and kissed me again before I could say anything.
I responded very slowly but her tongue tickled my lips forcing me to open my mouth. I grabbed her waist and pulled her towards me. She smiled against the kiss and I parted my lips to let her tongue slide in. She moaned and held my jaws.
I had to stop whenever I heard thunder, but she was quick enough to indulge me back in the kiss. I unbuttoned her shirt and took it off. I ran my hand through her wet neck and down to her curves. She breathed heavily and shivered.
Her hands swiftly moved to her back as she unhooked her bra. I gasped feeling nervous if I was in a position to handle where we were heading. She stood on her knees and sat on my lap while cupping my face.
"Take it off," she said and sealed my lips again.
I stopped caring what we were doing. I just followed what she said. Once I slipped her bra off her arms she threw it aside.
"Uh," she moaned and hugged me closer to her. Her hands clawed my biceps. I helplessly touched her bare back and felt her burning wet skin under my hands.
She met me with hot, hungry lips, her hands found my back, fingers clawing into my muscles as if she wanted to mark me hers.
She pushed me to the back and made me lie down on the bed. Placing her knees on either side of me, she hovered on top of me. Her eyes were twinkling and her heart was pounding.
She started kissing me with her hot lips on my neck, slowly trailing them down to my chest. I grabbed her soft hair trying to calm my senses. Every touch of her lips on my skin sent shivers down my spine. Her mouth reached one of my hardened nipples which made me feel giddy.
"Boyoung!" I groaned. I had never had such feelings before.
She used her tongue and teeth making me weak on my knees. She kissed me further down and my muscles twitched. She made me forget about the whole world.
"I want to kiss you," I demanded and pulled myself up to sit. She crawled on my lap.
"Oppa," she moaned and got impatient. I started kissing her all over because I was desperate to have the taste of her body on my lips.
I grew hard against her in an instant. I might have held myself back but the soft moan she gave, made me grab her hair and pull her closer. She was so soft under my touch and yet so shamelessly inviting. The pressure of her body against me was so tempting.
Without warning, she slid her hands down until she found the band of my jeans. I broke the kiss and stared at her. She gave me an innocent look and opened the button. I closed my eyes. Her soft, careful touches were trailing around my groin before she unzipped my jeans. It was nearly too much to take.
She caressed the bulges of my arousal and my desire started pulsing through my veins. There was an overwhelming need to be inside her and to make her mine.
"Boyoung," I grabbed her hair and pulled her apart. "Did I tell you how irresistible you are, when you do what you want?" I whispered feeling intoxicated.
She smiled softly with her sparkling eyes "Come here," she said rolling over to the other side and laying flat. "I want you," she said gasping and pulling me on top of her.
I sighed and positioned myself. She moaned as I kissed her and slipped my hands under her skirt. The lines of her body were familiar to me already, her soft thighs and the wet secrets between her legs. I touched her and she shuddered.
Another breathless moan rose from her, and it was all the encouragement I needed to pull her clothes off. I stood on my knees and slipped out of my jeans and underpants. I was afraid of how she would react when she saw me. But she gasped heavily and grew more impatient.
My painful arousal was screaming at me to delve into her, not to waste another minute without her. But I was so afraid because I had never done that before.
"What if it hurts you?" I asked panting.
She grabbed my face tightly as if she was scratching me.
"I trust you," she said. "Please,"
I gasped nervously bending down to kiss her while I tried to make my way to her slippery entrance.
"Mhhm" she moaned helplessly at the touch of me on her. "I love you," she whispered slowly grinding herself against me.
"Ah," I groaned feeling her softness slowly take me inside. Her body gripped me so tightly that it was almost painful.
"I love you too," I said before I abruptly pushed through. With a small cry of pain that left her mouth, I was in her, all of me, buried into her clenching warmth.
"Oppa," she panicked and clenched the sheets on her side. "Ah," her body was pulsating and her core was throbbing under my hardness.
"Huh" I panted as I kept myself from moving. I grabbed her face and kissed her lips. She wasn't calm enough to kiss me back.
"Look at me, Boyoung..." I said making her look into my eyes. "Hold me, okay?"
She nodded almost crying from the raging emotions. She clawed my back as tightly as she could. I was still worried if I'd be able to be gentle with her, but she was craving for me.
I kissed her forehead and moved with a soft thrust. She screamed. I couldn't handle it as well and grunted in pain. She couldn't meet my eyes but her flustered red face encouraged me to thrust again.
"Oh," she groaned and dug her nails in my flesh. The pain drove me insane and I moved faster.
"Hmmh" I grunted helplessly.
She pushed her head back and cried as I moved faster and harder inside of her. Our painful moans and gasps were the only things I could hear. I wanted to have all of her. She was so precious to me that being inside her and pleasing her seemed like the only thing I wanted to do.
I watched her face as she enjoyed every bit of me thrusting hard into her. I kept going faster and faster as I saw her getting close to her peak.
Being captured in her softness was nothing but pure bliss. It wasn't like anything I had ever imagined. I was engrossed in it until abruptly the tension in my body erupted and I burst into her.
"Ah," I cried as my body jerked. She bit her lips and a breathless final moan left her mouth.
I peeled myself off and collapsed on her side. Both of us were finding it hard to catch a breath. I had forgotten about everything else which was going on in my life.
I saw from the corner of my eyes that even though it was raining outside, the sun had started coming out and the dark sky was getting brighter again.

Sneak Peek:
"When were you going to tell me about her?" Boyoung yelled at Inguk.
"I didn't think it was necessary! You hid things from me too," He replied gritting his teeth.
"Then what did you expect me to do when she suddenly showed up on your doorstep?" she asked.
