Love Until There's Nothing Left Part Two

19:11, 12 January 2013

Steam rose from the hot cups of peppermint tea, clouding up the two girls faces. The blond flicked a strand behind her ear, and the other took a hearty sip out of her mug. It was rather cold in the apartment, and the two girls were chilled to the bone. I looked over at the tall brown door, amazed at how much luggage they had brought with them. 5 suitcases in total - more than I had taken.

Juliana's wavy black hair laid limp at her shoulders. Every group of friends had that one friend who decided to go against the rules, being totally different than everyone else. Juliana was that friend - she was the rebel of the group, dying her hair completely pink once. But, now, her root color, black, grew back, and she added freshly new blue streaks in it.

I crossed my arms, leaning against the sturdy red walls. "Still not used to the California weather?"

"Oh, we are," Melanie states, "just not to how COLD your apartment is. Seriously, turn up the heat." The blond pulls at her dark blue tank top, probably regretting that she put it on this morning.

"Haha, so funny. Well look at me; I thought I would be hot, so I wore shorts." Complains Juliana. She takes another hearty sip, and lays back on my creme sofa, kicking her legs on the black coffee table.

"Fail-" I start to say. But then I notice what I forgot to bring up. Kendall. Carlos. Jo. All of the above.

"What, Jade?" Melanie asks, now setting her white mug gently on the brown coaster. She rubs her hands together, trying to warm them.

"There's something I really have to tell you guys about," I admit, looking down at my feet. My green and purple vintage sweater hanging down over my black skinnies now.

"Well, you know you can trust us." Juliana says, and Melanie agrees with a simple nod.

"Okay good... As long as you don't judge me for kissing Kendall while dating Carlos." I announce, and the room falls quiet. Both of my friends freeze right where they are, in a state of shock.

"...Are you mad?!" Melanie yells at me, now pushing her lemon hair out of her face.

"MEL!" Juliana scolds, looking over at Melanie, disappointed. Everybody had their own special nickname for Melanie.

"No, she's right. I was crazy. But just so you know, I Didn't make the first move, he did. But I feel terrible because tonight is Carlos' birthday dinner! I want to tell Carlos SO. BAD. But I can't, ya know? It's his birthday." I assure them, just to make sure they don't point fingers, without knowing the facts.

"In that case... What was your reaction to the kiss?" Juliana asks me, dying to know more. And I could tell why; this was scandalous.

I but my lip. I really didn't want to tell them that I enjoyed the kiss. But still, I say, "....Actually, yes. I really did enjoy it. But I feel so bad; I love Carlos, kissed Kendall, but he's dating Jo. What do I do with myself?"

Their mouths hang open in surprise, and I bite down on my lip even harder. Hard enough to taste blood. "Well, sorry, I just don't know.-"

"You HAVE to tell Carlos!" Shouts Juliana.

"No! 'Cause then he'll know! - I just dunno. But... Fine. I'll tell him." I say, finally defeated. I really shouldn't have done what I did... But it's Kendall. I know that's not much

"Promise?" Melanie asks, holding out her pinkie to me. I tilt my head smiling, with pain in my eyes.

"Pinkie promise."

~That night, at dinner~

Me, Carlos, Kendall, Jo, James, Logan, Melanie, and Juliana sit in that order in a booth. "The Fridays was reserved for us," Carlos tells the group. I smile blankly at him. He wears a usual black tux, just like James, Logan, and Kendall. (A/N: yeah I know I didn't give much effort to describe the guys lol)

All of us girls were wearing one of a kind dresses. Juliana had on a long, purple flowing glitter dress that complimented her hourglass figure, that she bought at last minute. A creme rose stuck out from her curly black and blue hair. Jo looked amazing, I have to admit. She had on a short red dress with beading and lace at the bottom -- almost vintage. She looked great as she rocked her red lipstick, with her hair pulled into a side bun. Melanie simply wore a white button down shirt and a magenta skirt overflowed it, reaching right above her knees. Camille wears a satin greed gown that stop right above her knees.

When our food arrives, everyone digs in and nobody says a word. "Good stuff, huh?" Logan asks Camille, feeding her some of his pasta. She smiles after eating the forkful, and goes back to her own.

"Kendall," Jo turns to Kendall, unhappy. "Why don't you feed me like that?!" She jokes, and everybody laughs. I play along with a fake laugh, and look back down at my steak.

"Not hungry, babe?" Carlos asks me. I feel extremely guilty that after all I did, I'm sitting next to Carlos, him calling me babe. I don't deserve that.

"I am," I say, eating some of my steak.

*Next day*

"Kendall, we can't keep this from Carlos and Jo!"

"And why not?!"

"BECAUSE WE'RE CHEATERS!!!"

"SHH! Not so loud! Someone can be listening."

Melanie and Juliana sit on the couch in the living room, eating popcorn and watching a movie.

"I guess they don't count. They already know." I tell him. He sighs.

"You know what we have to do, Kendall." And I know it too, but it'll be hard to get it out to Carlos.

"I know... O-okay. We'll tell him today."
