Chapter 1: Missing

Naruto sat in his class, wondering why in the world he's been feeling so damn out of it every day since the beginning of his highschool.

He ended up looking beside him in class out of habit, but turned away when he saw some girl that he didn't really know much about.

He thought back on the days of his middle school, Sasuke always ended up seated next to him or close enough to him in class -due to their surnames and the fact that the seating order was alphabetically decided- he remembered bickering with Sasuke in between classes and making faces at him during classes.. Sasuke always annoyed the hell outta him but his entire childhood is filled with his memories of Sasuke...

It was as if....  He missed him......

"you miss Sasuke, don't you", now that startled the shit outta him!!

Naruto whiped his head around to find his one and only childhood friend, Haruno Sakura, smiling at him knowingly.

His eyes widened for just a millisecond before he came back to his senses and laughed - as if to prove how Impossible the statement was, "huh!? Of course i don't! Are you nuts?! I hate that guy!!", he turns in his seat to face her properly, "I'm so damn glad we're not in the same class, he's the most annoying jerk ever! Just his presence pisses me off!!", he makes a scrunched up face.

"sure sure.. Well, let's go have lunch, while you were spacing out all the morning classes ended", she says as she laughs walking away to the door, expecting him to follow.

"..i wasn't spacing out", Naruto weakly argues back as he follows right after.

He really didn't wanna admit that he was actually missing Sasuke, that doesn't make sense, he really did hate him after all. For as long as he can remember, he's always hated him. To be honest, it's more like he easily felt aggravated with the little things Sasuke did. So, he couldn't stand the sight of him. He really hated him so much.. So, there's no way he'd miss someone like him... Yeah.

Sasuke was pretending to text as he waited outside Naruto's classroom - as usual - but the blonde usually stayed in for lunch, this didn't stop Sasuke from waiting however, he'd still wait for the first ten minutes of lunch anyway, in hopes of getting at least a glimpse of Naruto.

It was a week since high school started and Naruto hadn't picked a fight with him once, he was lonely - to say the least.

He rarely got a glimpse of the blonde and when he does, he goes unnoticed, so today he was determined to get his attention at all costs.

Naruto came out, following after Sakura, and almost bumped into her when she suddenly stopped in her tracks.

Naruto was about to ask her what's up with her for stopping but noticed what she must have seen to stop - it was Sasuke, and now he was smirking his way - he could hear Sakura giggling beside him as he contemplated whether or not to go wipe that damned smirk off that teme's face.

"your boyfriend's here", Sakura giggled.

Going red, Naruto yells, "he is SO not!!", then in a softer voice, "don't say stuff that'll make rumors spread around again, geezz"

Sasuke was happy, so happy to see his blonde, he really missed him so much..

Naruto finally decides that it best to ignore Sasuke and his annoying smirk. So he walks away with a laughing Sakura trailing behind - and with Sasuke stalking right after.

Naruto walks into the cafeteria to find his classmates that he'd recently befriended, waiting at a table, and joins them with Sakura still giggling.

"he totally misses you too..", Sakura whispers, giggling to herself as she takes a seat- receiving a couple of questioning glances from their mutual friends.

Naruto who almost choked on his own saliva, gave her a look that said he had no idea what she's going on about.

As he puts his packed bento on the table -which his mom always forced him to take- And looks past her, he sees Sasuke staring right at him.

His eyes widen for just a second but he looks away and back at his Bento, suddenly feeling pissed - and very tempted to go and yell at Sasuke for staring at him.

What do ya' think you're staring at, you a/*h-l+!!!!

Sakura looked at him with a teasing grin, opening her own packed bento and digging in.

Their friends, who curiously asked what's up, brilliantly ignored by the pink-haired grinning teen.

Naruto who was suddenly feeling super duper pissed tries to concentrate on his own meal. After all, he hated Sasuke without a doubt and he'd be damned if he misses him - much less Sasuke missing him! That bastard would probably only miss him for the sole reason that he's bored without having someone to piss off and mess with, that annoying smirk is proof that he enjoys messing with Naruto after all.... Maybe Naruto was missing Sasuke for the same reason too? No-no like hell it's possible!! He hated it when Sasuke messed with him so there's no way he's missing him!! He so doesn't!! Nah-uh! He really doesn't miss Sasuke.. It's not possible...

I really hate Sasuke so much..

Sasuke was trying to hold back a smile that threatened to appear on his face. Their eyes met. Just now, without a doubt, those beautiful blue orbs were looking his way - if you include the vacations before starting highschool, it's been way too long, and damn did he miss it. He was getting giddy over the littlest things again! But he really couldn't help it.. He missed him...

I really love Naruto so much..

Sasuke wanted to somehow get closer to Naruto. As it was now, he'll just end up further away from the blonde -anything but that- But Sasuke never initiated a conversation with naruto on his own before - he knew that the blonde hated him and him just messing with Naruto when he tried to pick fights with Sasuke just made it worse- though he couldn't help it, he really loved to tease him, Naruto's reactions were just too adorable! He wondered sometimes if this was really alright.. They're not kids anymore..  So he can't possibly continue his childish way of messing with the blonde just cause he loves him so much and his reactions even more.  He shouldn't, he knew, but he couldn't help it! He was gonna try to get closer to him though, one way or another, he really wanted to be closer to the blonde.

He takes in a deep breath, nervously, puts on his poker face to hide said nervousness, walks over to where Naruto was seated and calls out, "Naruto..", making the blonde whip around right when he was about to get up and leave.

Naruto was shocked outta this world when heard his name from Sasuke's mouth -after all, Sasuke never tried to talk to him before, ever!! It was always Naruto who one sidedly got annoyed at Sasuke and started bickering with him. This made him completely forget he's supposed to be pissed at him, "..huh?"

"walk home with me today", it sounded like an order, Sasuke internally facepalms at himself.

Glaring and remembering that this is exactly why he hates Sasuke, "whatever made you think that i would, I've no f/*+ing idea!",he was so pissed, he could feel his face steaming.

Naruto's cheeks were tinted with red, even the tips of his ears slightly pink, to say the very least -he was freaking adorable! This was exactly why he loved teasing him, Sasuke thought to himself while holding back a smile.

Sasuke smirks, "well, it's not like I'm gonna eat you up, just walk back with me", and without waiting to hear his response Sasuke walks away, all the while trying to keep a blush away as he thought that he'd infact love to 'eat' him but he couldn't possibly do that - Not yet, at least.

Naruto gaped, face almost red, at the walking away figure of Sasuke for just a few seconds before bursting out, "OVER MY DEAD BODY!!"

Sasuke trying his best not to giggle out loud, feels content after a long time to have finally seen his blonde and even managed to provoke him enough to shout at him - a side that he showed only to Sasuke - he really does love messing with his blonde so much. Now if only Naruto takes his bait and walks back with him. Probably not, but a boy can wish, can't he?

Sasuke internally smiles his way back to his classroom - he can't possibly show it on his face - nope.

Naruto, who was getting questioned by his friends about Sasuke and why he behaved the way he did towards Sasuke, got a nice chilling shiver down his spine - he had a bad feeling about this - really bad.
