A month later.

I sigh as my phone rings as I wait for Sophia to pick up. By day four, since Johnny has left for space and four days since I've been cooped in their mansion, I've cleaned the upper part of the house three times, before I picked up my phone to redeem my sanity, and called Sophia, as I have done everyday.ย

She picks up, "Hey!"

I smile. I missed her, "Where have you been?" She screams. I have to take the phone away from my ear.

"Uh, awayโ€”"

"And don't lie to me!"

"It's uh, a very long story." I say, pacing about the living room on my tip-toes.

"Well, I have time! Now spill!"

I proceed to catch her up on when I woke up with the Fantastic Four in my bedroom at five in the morning, telling me about disastrous things.

Then proceeding to tell her about my ex-husband who is now some silver man with a surfing board. "Well, he deserves it! Asshole!" Is what she had said.

I then told her that they let me stay in their home for my safety. She then asked what's going on with me and 'Mr. Torch'. I couldn't get last night's story out without blushing profusely.

She teased me all the way, making kissing noises over the phone.

"And he had the audacity to not kiss you! Ugh!" She had said, as well.

I rolled my eyes, "He has bigger problems." I replied.

She chuckled darkly, "Sure, he does." It took me a second to get what she meant. I had flushed.

"Sophia!" I had exclaimed.

"What? C'mon, you can't tell me ain't packinโ€”"

"No! No! Zip it!" I sighed heavily, shaking my head.

"You like him, though."

I sigh, "I do, yeah."

A loud whoop can be heard on the other end of the phone, "Yes! YES! That's the very first time you said it out loud!"

"I'm sure many girls do." I murmur.

"But he doesn't like them like he likes you!" She retorts. "The way he gawked at you in the shop. Ugh, I wish you could see it."

"You're still making things up. He didn't gawk." I retort.

"No, you're right." She says.

I frown, "I am?"

"Hun, he drooled!"

I sigh, "I'm hanging up now."

"Okay, okay! How are things there? I can't believe you're in their house!" She squeals.

I hum, "I know. Oh! They have a robot names Herbie."

"A robot?"

"Yeah, he's actually the cutest thing. He makes all these cute 'beep', 'bob', 'bwoop' noises. It's adorable!"

Which leads to now, where I'm sitting in the living room. Alone. In pure stillness, quiet. Sophia had to work, she says Larry misses me.

I sigh, getting up from the sofa. It's still strange being here, in famous celebrities' home nonetheless. I make my way to my room, where Ginger is curled up on one of the chairs, purring.

I guess I'm not entirely alone, then. I laugh, Ginger would have hated my ex. I then plop down on my bed, sighing. I grab my phone, finding my music. That's also something I've been doing a lot this past monthโ€”listening to music.

I scroll through the endless songs, until one catches my attention. 'This Is A Man's Man's Man's World'. I play it, leaning back on the bed. I close my eyes, quietly singing to the song.

Images of smells and feelings of Johnny and I's dance flashes into my head. I blush, like a school girl. I turn to the window and I can't react fast enough.

A silver figure flies through the window. I expected it to break, but the glass ripples and the figure grabs me by the neck, pushing me roughly against the wall, high above the ground.

I gasp for air and what I'm seeing. My ex-husband's face all silver, even his eyes are silver. His hair, everything, feet attached to a silver board.

"I told you, you couldn't get away from me." He says. His voice is cool, smoothโ€”old, almost out of this world. I shiver. I gasp, I'm starting to get dizzy.

What is happeningโ€”

"You won't survive this. He'll come and destroy you all."

I hope the same goes to yโ€”

I don't get to finish my train of thought as I'm dropped to the ground and I hear a loud smash noise, along with punch and grunting noises.

I look up, groggily, and see fire.

Johnny?

I then see the silver figure fly through the glass again. Warm hands help me to my feet, "Y/n?"

Hearing his voice is like a shock to my system. I gasp, looking at him. His blue eyes are filled with shock and concern, his mouth slightly parted, his blonde hair disheveled. He has his hero suit on.

"Is he gone? We're did he go?" Its Ben.

"He's gone." Johnny answers.

"You alright Y/n?" Ben asks.

I nod mechanically, "I'm okay."

Johnny lifts my chin with my hand, "She's in shock."

Their voices become more and more distorted and I feel the ground beneath me fall away.

"Y/n?"

"Y/n!"
