Second Night - Crossing the Line?
22:21, 19 May 2025The second night started with stargazing and quiet laughter.
Tim handed Lucy a blanket, and they sat close on the deck.
"I used to dream about this," Lucy admitted, staring at the horizon.
"This?" he asked gently.
"Peace. Feeling safe with someone. Not second-guessing if it was real."
Tim looked at her, his voice low. "It's real. At least for me."
She met his gaze—and didn't look away.
A beat.
Then he leaned in, slowly, giving her time to stop him.
She didn't.
The kiss started soft, slow. Then deeper. Years of tension between them finally cracking wide open.
They moved inside without words. Fingers grazing skin, laughter mingling with breathless pauses. Clothes forgotten, everything else melting away.
It wasn't perfect. It was better.
Real. Intimate. Earned.

Morning After
Lucy stirred first, blinking against the soft light of the morning filtering through the windows.
She felt the weight of his arm around her and froze for a second.
Then she exhaled and turned into his chest.
He was still asleep. Peaceful. Vulnerable in a way she hadn't seen.
She traced a fingertip along his forearm.
He stirred, eyes opening slowly, meeting hers.
"Hey," he said, voice raspy.
"Hey," she whispered back.
No declarations. No panic.
Just warmth.
