Chapter 20

    Camila’s POV

    The final bell rang and I made my way to Lauren’s locker. I would wait for her and then we would walk to her house and order the pizza.  I saw Lauren gracefully walking towards me. “Ready to go?” she asked as she hugged me. I smiled and nodded. 

    We were about halfway to Lauren’s house when I felt a drop of water land on my nose. I stopped and looked at Lauren. “Lauren, it’s raining!!!” I said. “I know,” she said, “let’s go home before we get wet.” I looked at my feet and said “Maybe I already am.” Lauren looked at me with wide eyes. “What did you say?” she asked. I felt my cheeks turn red. “Nothing.”  I told her.

    We were still standing in the middle of the sidewalk, Lauren a few steps ahead of me. I took a step towards her and pulled her arm, telling her to turn around. I kissed her and smiled as I pulled away. “I’ve always wanted to do that.” I said. “Kiss me?” she asked, “but you do that every day.”  I giggled. “I’ve always wanted to kiss someone in the rain.”  She took my hand and held it the rest of the way home. By the time we got home we were both drenched.

    Lauren looked at me and scrunched her nose. “What?”  I asked. “You look like a cute, wet puppy.” I made a pout and she threw her scarf at me. “Heyyyyy” I said. “You baby” Lauren said as she wrapped her arms around me. I heard the doorbell ring and Lauren let go of me. I immediately missed her warmth.

    Lauren’s POV

    I opened the door to find three shivering girls outside. I let them in and told them to make themselves at home. I went back to hugging my girl. “I brought Nemo!” Dinah yells all of a sudden. Camila let go of me and attacked Dinah. She took the movie and put it into the DVD player.

    We were about 5 minutes into the movie when I remembered I hadn’t ordered the pizza, so I went to the kitchen and ordered it. I ordered two pepperoni pizzas and went back to the living room. I came back to find Ally crying. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “That was so sad, Nemo’s mom just got killed!” she said between sobs. “They don’t even show that scene, Ally” Normani said. Ally calmed down a little and we went back to watching the movie.

    I sat on the couch next to Camila and cuddled up to her. She wrapped her arm around my shoulder and started playing with my hair. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I opened it and found a message from Camila, it was a tumblr link. When  did she send this? I didn’t even see her take out her phone.

    I opened the link to find a gif of two girls making out. I felt my face get hot and Camila looked at me and giggled. “What’s wrong, Lo?” she asked innocently. The girls turned around to look at us. “ I have to use the bathroom” I said. “I’m gonna go get some chips” I heard Camila say. Please don’t follow me. Please don’t follow me. Please don’t follow me.

Camila’s POV

    I followed Lauren down the hall quietly and saw her go into her room. “That’s not the bathroom, Lauren” I said with a smirk. She was pacing around in her room now. “What’s wrong?” I asked her. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. “I’m gonna get you back, camila” She said as she walked out. What did I just get myself into?

    I followed Lauren back to the living room and we sat back down. “where are the chips?” asked Dinah. I was about to answer when the doorbell rang. “PIZZA!” I yelled as I rushed to open the door.

    We paused the movie and went to the table to eat the pizza. “Wanna play a game while we eat?” Iasked. The girls all agreed and I began to explain the game. “We’ll go around the table and you have to say a random fact about yourself, you get to take a bite of your pizza for every fact. Okay, start.”

    “I love Ed Sheeran” I said, and ate about half of my pizza in one bite. Lauren went next. “I’m scared of heights” she said. Normani said she took gymnastics and dance lessons, Ally said she loved apple pie, and Dinah said she lived with 23 people.

    We went around the table about 4 more times and we were all running out of facts. We were on round 5 of the game. I said I hated sporks and Lauren laughed at me. “I hate the cold she said.” It was Normani’s turn again. “I think Beyonce is a queen” she high-fived Dinah across the table. Ally said, “I was a premature baby.” I took a bite of pizza while the girls asked Ally some questions and then I heard Dinah say, “I’m gayyyyyy!” I started choking on my pizza and everyone turned to look at me. I think that’s the end of our game.
