CAMILA'S POV

When I woke up I saw a text from Lauren saying she was going to leave the hospital last night. "THANK YOU JESUS!!" I thought. I had been pretty lonely at school without her. And I was really looking forward to hearing her sing more in choir. When I got to school Lauren was in her crutches standing in front of the choir room nervously. "What's wrong?" I asked her. "Keaton said he wanted to talk to me" she said. I was about to say something when Keaton pushed me out of the way. "Hey babe" he said. "Don't push Camila!" Lauren yelled at him. "You mean this loser?" Keaton said pointing at me. "She's not a loser, she's my girlfriend!" Lauren yelled. The people standing around all turned at once to look at Lauren. Did Lauren just say that? Last night she didn't even know if she was bisexual or not, and now she's calling me her girlfriend? I really like Lauren but I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell people. As the bell rang, I saw a tear slip out of Lauren's eye.

LAUREN'S POV

"She's not a loser, she's my girlfriend!" I yelled at Keaton. Did I just say that? Around all these people? I looked at Camila and she had a shocked expression on her face. Why am I so stupid? I probably ruined our friendship. As the bell rang, the hallway began to clear out and I felt a tear escape my eye. In choir Camila sat next to me but didn't say anything. She stared at me as if trying to tell me something l but I couldn't understand. Mr. Corona told us there would be auditions because he needed five girls to sing Hero by Mariah Carrey. The auditions would be when we came back from spring break, so I would have three weeks to practice. During lunch Camila said she wanted to talk to me so we headed to the bathroom farthest away from the cafeteria. As we walked... or "crutched" to the bathroom I heard someone yell, "What are you guys going to do in there? Make out?" I turned around and saw one of Keaton's friends laughing. "Just ignore them" I heard Camila say. When we got there I heard Camila say "so does that mean we're official?" I looked up to see her and smiled. "I don't know? Camila do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked. She looked at me with her big brown eyes and said " Yes, you know I love you Lauren but..."

"But what?" I asked. "but I don't think I'm ready to tell anyone" she said. "It's ok Camz, we'll tell then when you're ready" I said kissing her head.
