Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5 - LAUREN'S POV

"I have to go, it's getting late" I said nervously as I walked out. I walked quickly, said goodbye to Camila's mom and started my walk home. I thought about everything that had happened today and the kiss. It felt so right for some reason, how could something so wrong feel so right? Just two weeks ago I had a boyfriend and now I'm kissing a girl I just met? Camila probably hates me now. I was daydreaming when I saw a pair of headlights coming towards me. I suddenly felt a sharp pain on the left side of my body and my leg. The last thing I remember was the car driving away. When I woke up I was in the hospital and my family was sitting around me. As soon as i opened opened my eyes my brother, Chris, gave me a bear hug and the rest of my family followed. "What time is it?" I asked as I tried to sit up. "It's 6:25 AM." Taylor said with a smiling. "You wake up in a hospital bed, and the first thing you ask is what time it is?" Chris said in a mocking tone. The mood lightened up a little, and then I remembered what had happened at Camila's house. A couple minutes later a doctor came in and introduced himself, he was tall with greenish eyes and and sandy brown hair. "My name is Dr.Stromberg" he said as he shook my hand. the name ran through my head over and over. He tried to break the ice by asking a couple questions. "What school do you go to?" He asked. "Castle Park High School" I said. "My son Keaton goes there, do you know him?" I felt my eyes moisten a little. "No" I replied "never heard of him." I guess he never cared enough to tell his parents about me. My leg hurt so much, I could feel it throbbing. He then said he was going to take me to get an X-ray of my leg. About half an hour later he came back with the X-rays and told me my leg was broken. Next thing I knew I had a red cast that went up to my thigh.

CAMILA'S POV

I woke up the next morning still feeling confused about the night before. I had to talk to Lauren. I texted her before I left for school but she never answered. As I walked in I saw her friend Alexa and asked her if she had seen Lauren. "No" she said a little worried "But she never misses school,she probably running late again." It looked more like she was trying to convince herself though. I walked into the choir room and noticed Lauren's empty chair. I found it pretty hard to believe we had only met 24 hours ago. I had to talk to her about what had happened. Could she be mad at me? "No" I thought, she kissed me first. I had barely gotten any sleep and my lips still tingled. I need Lauren and I don't think I can wait much longer. I have never felt this way before about a guy, I just hope Lauren feels the same way. The rest of the day went by slowly and lunch was pretty lonely since Lauren was the only friend I had made so far.when I got home I got a text from Lauren.

Lauren: we need to talk

Camila: Where?

Lauren: Well I'm in the hospital so yeah ._.

Camila: WAIT! WHAT?!? :o

Lauren: just meet me here in an hour
