Chapter 30 - Is this the end?

(Okay so this chapter will be LONG. I recommend getting comfy cause you will be here for a very long time..)

Jinx and Neo followed Morpheus down the hallway. They arrived at the main deck. Everyone had gathered around the operators table. Everyone's eyes were glued on the screen. "What is it?" Neo asked walking closer. He looked at the screen and all the color was sucked from his face. "What is it?" Jinx asked. "Just like.. i saw." Neo whispered. He was scared. Genuinely scared. Jinx took his hand and gave it a small squeeze. He looked in her eyes. Fear and worry sparkling in them.

 "You got this." Jinx tried to smile. "I must go in." "We will come with you." Morpheus informed. "I will fight the main Smith alone. And Jinx must stay behind." Jinx nodded. She had accepted this. "Don't you mean Smiths?" Nara asked with an 'obviously' tone. "No. If i'm right i will only be fighting one Smith." Neo explained. "Pfft.. Fricking 'one'." Nara mumbled to herself. "Ok, we all need to get some guns and prepare ourselves. Fifteen minutes." Morpheus said before leaving the main deck to get something. 

Neo sat next to the metallic table. Jinx sat next to him so that she could examine his face better. "You wont come in even if-" Neo didn't get to finish his sentence. "I won't. I wont. I already promised once." Jinx said. Her words made Neo chuckle. "I love you." Neo said before kissing Jinx's forehead. "I love you too." Jinx said. 

 Morpheus returned to the main deck. "Okay, to the loading program." He informed. Neo got up but Jinx grabbed his arm. Neo turned around to face her. "You're going to make it back. Promise me you'll make it back." Jinx pleaded tears tingling in the corners of her eyes. "I promise." Neo promised before pulling her into a hug. Jinx sniffled a little. And they were like that for a moment. But everything good has to end. And Neo was in a hurry.

Jinx, Dozer and Tank were left to take care of Neb. "There. They are finally all in the loading program." Jinx sat on a chair. She was useless and it felt terrible. She had finally slowly started learning how to read the code. It just made things worse, understanding what was going on. 

Neo took some guns. He knew he wouldn't use them but.. you never know when you might need a gun or two. Nara walked to his side to get a gun. "Good luck." "Excuse me?" Neo asked turning over. "I said good luck. I still dislike you. I just want you to get back safely. Jinx means lot to Roxanne." "So you two?" "It's a private thing, hazel eyes, none of your business." Nara said before walking to another rack of guns and other weapons.

The crew appeared on the side of the driveway. The streets were filled with Smith clones. So were the apartment buildings. "I'll try to defeat Smith." Neo stated. "Do or do not there is no try." Morpheus said poetically.

  (I'm no longer in depth of a quote to you, @_knickknack_ Its a Yoda quote. It's not the greatest but its something. Also gotta love star wars..)

A Smith walked to the middle of the road from the crowd of Smiths. He started talking on his usual calm voice. "Mr. Anderson. Welcome back. We missed you." He paused. "You like what i've done with the place?" This was all Neo had seen and he didn't know what to say next, but the words just came out. "It ends tonight." "I know it does, i've seen it. Thats why the rest of me aren't going to join this fight." Smith glanced behind Neo. "I guess they can keep your little crew busy." Smith thought a small smile forming on his lips. It soon enough disappeared.

Neo's fists squeezed themselves to shut. So did Smith's. Then the two started running. Both ran forward. Water splashed around under their shoes. They finally both stopped and started exchanging punches. They both dodged each others hits pretty well.

The rest of the crew had about hundred Smiths on them. They tried to shoot some, punch some and kick some of the overpowered Smiths. "This is hopeless!" Roxy yelled to the others shooting a Smith multiple times. "Ack!" One of the Smiths stuffed his hand in Roxy's back. "Roxanne!" Nara yelled. She ran to her and removed the Smith's hand from Roxy's back. Then she started to hit the Smith. Roxy took deep breaths. "There  are too many of them!" Switch yelled. She had his back against Apoc's back and they were shooting and kicking the Smiths together. Mouse was fighting next to Morpheus. "We aren't going to make it."

Smith and Neo were fighting. They flew against each other. That sent a massive wave. They kept fighting in the air. Smith punched Neo and he flew threw a wall. He quickly got up in the building to see Smith flying at him. He jumped over him. Smith and Neo were both in the air. Neo flipped against a wall, where from he took of towards Smith. Smith started speeding straight to him as well. The two were sent back by the crash. Smith was quicker to get up. "Can you feel it, Mr Anderson? Closening in on you. Who i can. I really should thank you for it after all it was your life that taught me the purpose of all life. Purpose of life is to end." Neo got up. (Check out the GIF at the start. He does that move. Its pretty cool xD) The two attacked each other once again. 

"We need help. We cant take all of them on." Mouse said. There was a voice of a gun. Jinx had appeared in the one end of the driveway. But she wasn't alone. She had all the captains and their crews with her. "Hi Morpheus. Sorry i'm little late for the party." Tulip said as she shot couple of Smiths. "Well, luckily you're here now." Morpheus said. "Hey Nara. Roxy nice to see you again." Seyu smiled. Loki smirked. "Let's go kick some Smith butt!" Jinx said loading a gun. 

Neo and Smith were on the sky. Smith started flying to Neo. They crashed against each other. It made a bubble of water around them. But it broke pretty soon. Neo started to fall. Smith took him by his neck and started flying down. They crashed down on another part of the driveway. The two created a huge crater. Neo was laying on the ground. Smith stood next to him. Neo started trying to get up. "Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why? Why do you do it? Why? Why get up? Why keep fighting?" Neo crawled forward. "Do you believe you're fighting for something more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know?" Neo kept crawling "Is it freedom or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love? Illusions Mr Anderson. Vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although.. only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting." Neo started to stand up. "Why Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?" Smith's tone was aggressive. "Because i choose to." Neo answered.

The captains and crews were fighting against the huge army of Smiths. There were gun shots. Many gun shots. Jinx was shooting Smiths when she was pushed down. She turned to look at who it was. It was Trinity. "Mrs. Allen. It's been a long time from the last time." "Trinity.. I know you're in there." Jinx kicked Trinity and got up. The two started punching and kicking each other. "Trinity you must be in there! You need to free yourself from Smith!" Trinity had her gun out. She kicked Jinx down. And with that Trinity shot Jinx in her chest. "Jinx!" Roxy yelled. Morpheus, Nara and Roxy ran over. Nara started hitting Trinity. "You should never hurt my friends!" Nara kicked Trinity against a wall. "You shouldn't have come here." Roxy said her eyes filling with tears of worry. "I had to lead the captains and their crews to the right spot." Jinx coughed. "It's gonna be okay." Roxy said taking her jacket and putting it on the bullet wound. "If i don't make it-" "You're going to make it. I swear. Just hang in there." Roxy said while putting pressure on the wound. Morpheus was fighting Smiths that came close. Apoc rushed to Morpheus's side. Switch rushed over to Jinx. "Was it Smith?" Nara had sat next to Roxy. "Trinity-Smith." "Oh." Switch gasped. Jinx stared up at the sky. 

"Everything that has a beginning has an end, Neo." Neo turned to look at Smith. "What? What did i just say?" Smith asked. Neo started to get up. "No, no this isn't right." Neo looked at Smith while standing. "Get away from me!" Smith yelled as he backed away. "What are you so afraid of?" Neo asked. "It's a trick." Smith answered. "You were right, Smith. You were always right." Neo paused. "It was inevitable." Smith came forward and punched his hand into Neo's chest. Neo looked down to see the black goo covering him. He looked up and closed his eyes. The goo covered him and then it disappeared. Neo had been turned into a Smith. "Is it over?" The original Smith asked. The other Smith nodded. There was a catch. Neo's body didn't accept the Smith. The Smiths eye started twitching. The other Smith stared at him with fear. The Smith's eyes started to glow under the sunglasses. "Oh no, no, no. No it's not fair." The Smith said. The Smiths sunglasses started to crack and the Smith exploded. All the other Smiths started to explode as well. 

Neo was laying on the ground. He started to slowly blink. He was alone on the crater. He got out from the crater. He saw the captains and crews in the distance. He started running at them. He got to them. "Neo, you did it." One of the captains said. Morpheus and the rest of the crew had gathered around something. Neo walked over. He saw Jinx laying on the ground. The crew moved to the side so Neo could get to her. "I hoped to see you." Jinx said. She was smiling. "You.. you should't have come." Neo said guilt in his voice. "I had to.. i. I'm sorry." Jinx's voice was sad. She tried to smile at him. "It's ok.. it's ok." Neo said. Jinx started to close her eyes. "N..no don't let go." Neo took her hand. Jinx's hand went limb. 

Neo wouldn't let it happen. He couldn't. He stuffed his hand in Jinx's chest and removed the bullet. "What happened?" It was a familiar voice. The voice belonged to Trinity. "You as a Smith shot Jinx." Switch answered. Trinity stared down at Jinx with shock. The bullet had slightly hit Jinx's heart. Neo restarted Jinx's heart. Jinx gasped. And then toom deep breaths. Neo pulled her to a passionate kiss. 

Every captain and crew had returned on their ships.  A party would be hosted in couple of days for the defeat of Smith, but it wasn't today. Jinx and Neo were both laying in their shared bed. Both needed rest. "You remember before this you wanted to tell me something?"  Neo asked. "Yeah. I can tell you now." Jinx said her voice was one filled with worry. "What ever it is i believe it will be alright." Neo said  staring into Jinx's eyes. Her expression was soft. "Well, here it goes. I. I think that i might be pregnant."
