Chapter fifty three: Suprise

We all huddled into the car with a bucket spread across my lap. Ember was already rambling on about food or how long it would take us to drive there whilst Dylan was being Dylan, he had his earphones in and was being stroppy.

"I didn't actually check but how long will it take?" I asked Evan who jotted the address into the satnav. In which he shrugged lazily "not long. About half an hour"

I smiled and rested my head back "thank god for that I was starting to think it would take over an hour"

My hair was half up half down today with a small ponytail residing on the top of my head and I put on a light amount of makeup such as eyeliner and blush just to make myself look presentable. Luckily I hadn't thrown up for a few hours now so I was hopeful.

Naturally I put my hand on Evan's thigh whilst he drove and squeezed it which earned me a smile from him. "We should decide on a date for the wedding" I stated with a wiggle of my eyebrows.

Evan smirked "you really do want to be my wife don't you?"

I bit the inside of my cheek "truthfully I want to marry you as soon as possible"

Evan placed his free hand over mine "then our date will be as soon as possible"

"Finally" Ember grumbled as Evan unbuckled her seat and picked her up. "Come on it wasn't that long" he responded with a pout.

"Daddy it felt like forever" she deadpanned as if it was a really serious matter. "That was like two hours"

Stifling a laugh I shook my head "you're so dramatic Ember. It was half an hour which is the same duration as a peppa pig episode"

Dylan stuffed his hands into his jeans whilst his bangs covered one of his eyes, I could tell he was going through a grunge phase which made me proud considering that was me at one point.

"Soo what are we going on first" Evan asked with a piqued interest. "How about something suitable for Ember ?" I replied back as I stared at the joyous mannerisms flooding from her.

Dylan groaned "how about we go on something that isn't for little kids ?"

"You're such a great uncle" I told him sarcastically with a flick of my middle finger that made Evan chuckle. "Yeah didn't like that one did you Dyl? That's what you get for flipping me off earlier"

"You think that bothers me?" Dylan retorted emotionlessly which made anger boil in my veins.

"At your grown age I would think you would know better" Dylan mocked

"Oh you little shit-

"Come on now. I know you're siblings but we are here to have fun" Evan interrupted with a nervous smile. He knew not to get on my bad side either so he tried to keep it sweet.

"Can we go on the flight of hippogriff ?" Ember asked whilst tugging my hand.

"That would be a great start" Evan said sweetly as we headed towards the ride.

We had purchased a pass to get on the rides quicker and skip the queues so we were near the front ready to go on. Ember hadn't experienced many rides so I hoped she would enjoy it. Dylan on the other hand was babbling on about how boring it was going to be, I loved the enthusiasm leaking off him.

"Mommy is it fast?" She asked with nerves

I cupped her face "baby, there are children younger than you going on this. You're going to love it"

Evan tried reassuring her too but he was bad at it and instead just made Ember feel worse. He said how it might be fast or how it might be scary. And let's not get started on Dylan and how he was being towards her.

Once on the ride we got the green light and took off. It was rather pleasant and Ember was enjoying the calmness of the ride. We looked towards Hogwarts academy that was beautifully made, I ended up gawking with a wide grin spread across my cheeks. I was a child at heart.

"Mommy we are going quite high.." she squeaked as it started going up on a slight vertical angle. "Evan have you been on this before?" In which he shook his head.

"Neither have I.." so now I was in a position that my daughter could be traumatised by her first proper ride.

Once at the top Ember started to dramatically panic and tears escaped her eyes "mommy- stop the ride I don't want to anymore"

I held onto her hand "it's going to be okay. It's only a small drop and then we will be off the ride okay?"

Dylan scoffed and turned to look at us "Ember you're such a wuss. Grow up"

Ember puffed out her cheeks "am not-

The ride then moved downwards at a quick speed which made my belly slightly flip; though it was nothing scary. Ember in the end decided she wasn't scared anymore and laughed when the ride came to a stop.

"Mommy that wasn't scary at all" Ember beamed as if she wasn't near enough having a panic attack a mere moment ago.

We got off the ride and decided to get some food as we hadn't eaten lunch and was starving. "See I told you it wouldn't be too bad" Evan told Ember which was a total lie. He said 'maybe it won't be bad'

Ember nodded "thank you daddy. You really reassured me"

It was like I didn't exist at times but I brushed it past me as we sat down outside a taco truck centred near most of the rides. Evan went up and ordered the food as my belly flipped and turned uncomfortably.

"Don't tell me you're going to throw up over that ride?" Dylan scoffed with a confused looking Ember next to me.

"Yeah mommy- even I could handle that ride"

Rolling my eyes I held my head in my hands and tried to convince myself not to be sick but it was useless and I quickly rushed off trying to find a restroom.

I had been throwing up for several minutes before a lady knocked on my stall. Confused I flushed the toilet and turned to her "hey lovely. You don't sound too well are you okay?"

I nodded and wiped my tearful eyes "I'm fine, I just hate throwing up" I admitted "I think I'm suffering from a stomach bug. Every smell is turning my stomach and the thought of food especially"

The woman frowned "just as a precaution did you want to use this pregnancy test I bought ? Turns out I'm not pregnant as I got my monthly today but it may as well get used"

I pondered on the idea and thought there was no harm in checking "thank you, that would be kind"

She took the unopened test from her bag and outstretched it towards me "good luck!" she then walked off out of the restroom. The whole exchange was very weird but I thought nothing of it. It was just a coincidence.

I sat on the toilet and positioned the test between my legs, trying to urinate as best I could on it. "I don't know why I'm doing this" I mumbled to myself

I pulled the test back up and placed it on my leg; setting a timer on my phone I waited impatiently. Though to be truthful I felt like an idiot.

After the allocated minutes passed I picked up the test and instantly paled in colour. My face crinkled up into every possible expression I could from pure confusion, nerves and most of all love.

I was pregnant
