Crowley's POV

I couldn't help myself from laughing. The human tried to stay indifferent but was failing miserably. Her curiosity leaking through. It was intruigeding.

After having left her in the hallway earlier I had returned to meet up with Horn and Chess to inform them of the current situation. I was not concerned that my little mouse would flee in my absense. I knew these humans well enough that I was certain of one thing, they were fiercly loyal. She wouldn't leave this place without her commander, I was certain of that.

When I informed both ladies about my relation to Hana they seemed displeased by it, Chess more so than Horn. She had questioned me, asking me if I was certain this mortal was my soul mate. In reply I had thrown her into the wall with enough force so she would feel it.

"You won't question me again on this subject, do you understand Chess? Or I won't let you off the hook so easily." I had told her, maybe a bit threatingly.

She had looked down in shame and nodded when replying with a "Yes lord Crowley, my apologies."

I had had enough of them at that point but Horn pointed out that we still had the human in charge of killing so many nobles in our possession. Remembering the cocky raven haired livestock, I had decided it was best to try and get some information out of him while I still had him in my possession. I should still dispatch a messanger to Ferid to let him know of my prisoner, he would surely be pleased. I told Horn to do so and left to a different room guarded by two of my men. I entered the room, which actually was a broom closet I realised, and looked down at the livestock bound and gagged on the ground. He looked pathethic, like a strung up pig. He watched me with similar hatred that my little mouse does but much more convincing.

As soon as I had taken away his gag he started speaking.

"Come to gaug at your prisoner?" He said, smiling slightly.

I smiled in return, not at all bothered by this mere humans attitude towards me.

"Tell me where you humans learned those little magic tricks you showed off earlier." I asked, getting directly to the point. I didn't want to be here right now knowing my mate was only a floor above me. I'm 825 years old and never even entertained the thought of seeking for my soul mate. Not many vampires do. The feeling of love and desire is greatly diminished once you become a vampire, but meeting my little mouse has seemed to change that.

The commander stayed silent. I gave him a kick to the stomach, maybe it would help him speak.

He grunted out in pain but still said nothing. I sighed, slightly annoyed at this point until I sensed Horn and Chess nearby, I turned around and sure enoguh they were standing there waiting for a command.

"Bring him to a bigger room and keep an eye on him. Try to get him to talk but don't kill him." I ordered them.  I had taken a few steps away from the broom closet before turning to the two females again. I told them not interact with Hana unless told otherwise and then left them.

I needed some time to make her believe in our bond. It was going to annoyingly difficult, not going to lie. I had known from the second I had layed eyes on her and smelled her that she was the one. But because she was mortal she didn't feel the bond the same way I did. With the discovery of my mate, involuntary feelings had come with it. Feelings of possession and desire to drink her blood mostly. Remembering the taste of her blood made me halt before my office door. It had been a few hours since I left her and I was curious as to what she had been up to. Following my nose I ended up at the same door I had left her at. It was closed but I knew for certain she was inside.

I couldn't stop myself and oh so slowly opened the door to peek inside. It was dark but thanks to the light from the hallway and my hightened senses I could see her form laying on the bed.

I carefully opened the door a bit more, relieved that it didn't make a sound and went to stand in front of the bed.

She was sound asleep, her breathing slow and heartrate calm. Her long blonde hair was spread across the pillow like a spiderweb. I slowly drew closer, leaning over her body. My face only inshes from her neck.

She smelled so good, like honey or something sweet like it. I could hear the blood streaming through her weins. It had tasted just as sweet as her smell. I was about to come closer when her heart rate quicened, indicating that she would soon wake up.

With my vampire speed I left the room before she caught me. I didn't need to be a genius to know that a female human wouldn't take it well if her captor was staring at her in her sleep, even if that captor is her mate.

I had left her room far behind me, going as far as to almost go down the staircase but I stopped there. I could hear her opening a door and then closing it again, then her soft footsteps coming nearer, they seemed to slow down near my office to which I decided it would be a good opertunity to get some work done.

Getting back to reality, I turned back to look at her. She seemed suprised at my reaction. According to her heart rate she most likely assumed I would punish her for asking so many questions, but the fact that she seems already comfortable enough to ask me questions makes up for the lack of work I get done by answering her. I was not sure how the bond would work on her part but for me I felt tugged to her. If I got her to trust me enough maybe the bond would open up more for her. There was another solution to the problem, but I knew she would not approve of it, and stragnely enough it felt important for me to be on her good side. Stupid mate bond, it makes me weak.

I rested by head on my hands, giving her my full attention before answering her question.

"The reports are about the nobles you and the livestock killed" I say honestly.

She seemed to hesitate for a moment, I could already sense that she had become upset about something. I straightened, readying myself slightly for what was to come.

"Don't call us that" she spat.

However furious and discusted she sounded it didn't bother me at al, she would soon change her mind about us anyway.

"What? Livestock?" I replyed, knowing fully that was propably the word that had angered her.

"Just to be clear, I don't consider you livestock, little mouse. You're my mate. However much I want to suck you dry, I can't. Now, do you have any other questions?" I ask, hoping she will take the bait this time and ask me more about the mate bond.

She stayed quite however. Looking down at her hands. It was obvious she didn't want to talk more about the topic. After staying silent for a considerable amount of time I started to feel bored and returned my attention to the documents in front of me.

However, while reading, I could feel her gaze turning to me. I pretended not to notice though, more than happy to give her the oppurtunity to stare at what soon would be hers.

After a while her gaze started to annoy me slightly. I wanted to look at her too. I wanted to see her expression when she looks at me without knowing that someone is watching her. What is she thinking? Does she feel the bond starting to tug her towards me as well? Is she starting to become attracted to me?

At the thought of that possibility I leaned back into my chair slightly, puffing out my chest while I do so, giving her more to look at than just my handsome face.
