"Yeorin, sweetie, can you whip off table three? We have to leave in twenty minutes." A sweet, voice came from the kitchen as Yeorin was collecting the dishes on table five.
"Sure." She nodded and walked over to the said table.
Three years ago, after Gyujin's trial, Yeorin approached his mother one day as the older woman was serving people in her restaurant.
She told his mother how sorry she was for what happened and how she feels somewhat responsible for Gyujin's actions. She knew she was one of the main reasons why Gyujin had brought the gun into school, to stop her hurting.
His mother was a literal angel, welcoming her into a motherly hug as the two weeped in each other's arms.
They sat down and started talking about life and how his mother was holding up.
She was just so easy to talk to, making Yeorin miss her mother even more.
During the conversation, Yeorin mentioned how she was looking for a job, to try and help out Do as much as she could.
Hearing her kind words, his mother immediately jumped up and offered her a job as waiter in her restaurant. Yeorin was overjoyed to say the least.
Of course she accepted the offer.
So, very slowly but surely, three years went by, and suddenly, it was time for Gyujin to get back into her arm.
Today was the day they could go and pick him up.
She was incredibly happy and excited, yet in her chest there was a slight feeling of nervousness.
During the three years, she went to visit him regularly, every Sunday morning. They sat on each side of the glass, saying sweet nothings and talking about their weeks. It was sweet.
He was doing fine. He told her he has school lessons, just like in high school, to still have a normal chance to have a good education. He would graduate a year later than her, but she promised to help him try studying. He was thankful for her.
This was it.
He would appear from those big doors any minute now.
"Don't be nervous, sweetie." Gyujin's mother hold her slightly shaky hands. "He speaks so highly of you. You have nothing to be nervous about."
"I know.... I just missed him so much...." She sighed, intensely staring at the doors like they personally offended her.
"He loves you. He'd be over the moon to see you." The older woman gave her a warm smile, squeezing her hand in reassurance.
"I love him t-" Ber words were cot of as the two ridiculously big doors opened with a loud clang.
Two officers with very heavily armed uniforms came out first, holding the doors open.
Yeorin breath hitched as Gyujin stepped out fr the jubilant detention centre, in his regular clothes.
He looked the same, except his hair, which had grown over three years.
Seeing his mother, he sprinted over to the woman and wrapped his arm around her.
"Oh, my baby. I missed you." His mom cried into his shoulder.
"Missed you too, mom." He muttered, his own eyes burning with tears.
Yeorin watched the lovely moment between them patiently waiting for him to notice her presence.
And when he did notice her, his eyes widened. Feeling his body tense, his mother instantly released her hands, letting the long separated couple reunite.
Without wasting any time, Gyujin flung himself into her, his arms swallowing her in a very tight hug.
They sobbed, messy and exhausted but still filled with so many unsaid emotions they couldn't express in three years.
"Y-Yeorin...." His body shook as he was desperately trying to hold her even more closer.
"J-Jinie-" He didn't let her finish.
He silenced her wobbling mouth with a long awaited kiss, which he had been hearing to do in the past three years but was unable to do so.
Parting from the kiss, they stayed hugging for a very long time, sobbing their heart out before Gyujin patted her back.
"I'm here....." He whispered longingly into her hair. "Let's go home."
She nodded, pulling away from his chest. As they were about to walk away, loud cheers came from the walking yard next to them, where his previous inmates stood, watching his release unfold.
He chuckled through his tears, hugging Heorin tightly to his side before waving goodbye to his friends.
"Yeah, let's go home." Yeorin whispered, a loving smile plastered on her face.
He was finally back.
The love of her life.
