Areum was dressed in beige pants and a white top. The group was hanging out today at the new cafe she talked about yesterday, and she was so excited.

Wonwoo was at her place, watching her as she put her last touch of makeup.

"Can we go? I'm bored." He groaned.

"I'm almost done, stop complaining!" She said as she applied lipgloss.

"You don't need makeup anyway," he said. "You're naturally pretty."

"So sweet!" She pinched his cheek and then pulled him closer, giving him a peck on his cheek.

Wonwoo's face turned red, and he froze in his place.

He should be used to this. Their friendship was always like this. But he couldn't get used to it when he was so in love with her.

Wonwoo and Areum ran downstairs together, saying goodbye to Areum's parents as they headed towards Wonwoo's car. The drive to the cafe was quiet. Areum was humming along to a song, while dancing a little in her seat. Wonwoo kept stealing glances at her, laughing softly every time she does something stupid or funny.

"Areum?" He started, his voice quieter than usual.

"Yeah?"

"Do you ever think about things after high school?" He asked hesitantly, glancing over at her. "I mean, we'll all probably go to different places, right?"

"No, you and I are stuck together," she answered quickly. "We made a deal! I swear, if you leave me, I'm going to..." she thought about it for a moment before letting out a breath. "I'll think about it, but you're not leaving me!"

Wonwoo nodded, a huge grin on his face as he parked in front of the cafe. As they entered the place, they were hit with the smell of coffee and the sound of coffee machines and people chatting.

"Hey!" Areum exclaimed as she walked closer to her group.

Wonwoo followed her, his hands shoved in his pockets.

Areum sat down at the table, making space for Wonwoo beside her. He slid into the chair next to her, scanning the menu.

"What are you getting?" She asked, her eyes still on the menu.

"I'm thinking the cheddar croissant and an iced latte," Wonwoo answered.

"Boring." Areum laughed. "I think I'm getting the strawberry cake and a matcha latte."

"So a strawberry cake and grass?" Wonwoo teased.

"Matcha is amazing, you just have no taste!" She gasped.

"Right." He rolled his eyes.

When the waiter approached them, they all ordered their food and drinks and thanked the waiter. The group was talking and laughing when they heard a familiar voice.

"Areum!" Hajoon called out from the entrance.

Areum turned around in surprise, her eyes lighting up. "Oh, Hajoon, hi!"

Wonwoo rolled his eyes as Hajoon approached them with that stupid smile of his. Areum stood up, giving Hajoon and quick hug before sitting back down. They chatted for a while, Wonwoo tried his best to block out their conversation.

"I'm having a party next weekend," Hajoon said. "It's going to be fun, you guys should come."

"Sure!" Areum exclaimed excitedly. "We'll be there. Just text us the location, here's my number."

They exchanged numbers, Mingyu watched Wonwoo carefully as the exchanged happened. He knew Wonwoo was heartbroken.

"I'll go if there's food," Vernon said, making the group laugh.

"Don't worry, we've got plenty of snacks and drinks." Hajoon laughed. "I'll text you the details."

Hajoon made sure to wink at Areum before walking away, and Wonwoo felt a pang of jealousy hitting his chest.

"He's amazing," Areum said dreamily.

"He's okay," Mingyu answered. "I think you could do better."

Wonwoo's mood shifted after Hajoon left. He hated how Areum got excited around him, how she blushed whenever he talked to her, or when he winked at her.

"Are we going to the party?" He asked.

"Of course!" Seungkwan exclaimed. "We're graduating soon, we need to attend all parties!"

"I think we should go, it'll be fun," Jun added.

They spent the next half hour chatting about the party, laughing, and planning out the details for the weekend. Wonwoo did his best to focus on their conversation, but he couldn't.

He had a bad feeling about the party.

A really bad one.
