Chapter 10

Today we will be entering Lauren's fear landscape to help us prepare for our own. It should be easy, I mean, they are things SHE is afraid of. Not ME. We all enter the hallway and wait for Eric to call our names. I look around. Tris goes first. When Tris is finished I go next. " Sit down." Tobias says and I do as told. He presses the needle into my neck. My vision goes black.  I look around me. I am trapped in a small room. Oh, so she's a afraid of small spaces? Nope. Thousands of spiders start crawling inside the room. Breath in. Breath out. I look around. There are no windows or doors. I can't escape. Maybe I can just step on them and kill them. Yes! I start to walk on all the spiders. Finally I am surrounded by dead spiders. Fear 1 complete. I am tide up in a chair. I look up. I am in a white room and when I look forward there is a large window. Erudites are on the other side. No, they can't be Erudites. They are in these jump suit like things. I can barely make out what it say on them. But what seems to stand out the most is this: Bureau.My mouth is duct taped. I can't scream. The people in the jumpsuits start pressing buttons.  Once they disappear the room is being filled with carbon dioxide. They are going to suffocate me.  I tug and pull. I can't escape. But, this isn't real! Maybe if I just imagine the duct tape and rope is gone, it will disappear! No. Alice, they'll find out. That's what a Divergent would do. Do what a Dauntless would do. In my back pocket is a pocket knife. I should be able to grab it. I do. With the knife in my left hand I cut the rope. I rip the duct tape off my mouth and stand up. I can feel the carbon dioxide hit my lungs. I have to escape quick. I run over to a door. Its locked. " Hey! Let me out!" I scream as I try to open the door.With out thinking I walk backwards and quickly run into the door. It breaks. My vision goes black again and I find myself in a tight room. The walls slowly come in. I put my hands on them trying to stop them. I can't. I quickly remember that I still have that pocket knife with me. Maybe if I put them in the crack by the bottom of the wall it would jam it causing it to stop moving. It does. The scene changes again. I am walking in a dark hallway. I have no clue where I am. I keep walking. Walking far, far , away from here. Out of no where these guys with no faces grab on to me. I try to scream but they cover my mouth. I elbow one in the stomach and try to run. It's no use. I can't. I can run as far as I want but they will still follow. After what feels like a mile of running I stop. Let them catch me. I'll just beat them up. And I do. They come quicker than normal people. Almost magical. Almost reminds me of Freddy Kruger. I suddenly wake up. " Time?" I ask. Tobias sighs. "5 minutes." I walk with Christina and Tris to my room. " That was crazy!" Christina says. " Yeah," I laugh." Exceptionally the men with no faces! And the suffication too! I thought I would never escape." Christina and I laugh. " Yeah.." Tris says as she glances at the corner. Something is bothering her. The next day we are not in the same room as where we practiced. We are more out in the open. The Erudite are also here. They will be watching me. I look and see a tv. Will they be broadcasting it? And why are the Erudite here? Hunting Divergents.
