22:25, 1 March 2021Bill had left the group when he saw George running through sewers. He followed him and was taken to a pit that had a container with a clown face on it. Piled on top were children's toys and belongings, piled up high. Surrounding the toys were lifeless bodies of kids, floating around in the air. Bill then spotted Beverly, who was also floating in the air with ghostly eyes, but she was only a few feet above Bill.
He ran up to her and jumped to try to get her to the ground, but she was higher than him. He went to grab a box from the kids belongings but then saw Georgie again.
"I'll come back for you Bev," he said, before going around the container to follow his "brother".
"Bill!"
"Bill!"
The separated group ran throughout the sewers trying to find their other lost friend. As they turned a corner, they reached the pit and found the clown's hidden home. They stood in awe until Charlie saw Bev floating in the air.
"Holy shit" she said going towards her.
"How is she in the air?" they asked.
"Guys. Are those... the missing kids ... floating?" Eddie said looking up. They all looked above them and saw the missing Derry kids floating in the air just like Beverly.
They tried to reach her but she was too high for them. Mike then helped Ben and he grabbed Beverly by her ankles, taking her to the ground. When she was on ground level, Ben put his hands beside her head trying to wake her up.
"Bev. Beverly" he said. She was still entranced and had her ghostly eyes.
"Why isn't she waking up? What is wrong with her?" Ben cried.
"Beverly, please!" he said, hugging her. Everyone felt bad, they all knew Ben liked her and now they didn't even know if she'd wake up.
Ben then looked into her eyes and kissed her.
"Woah"
"Wow..."
Ben then pulled back and Beverly gasped awake. She looked at Ben and realized it was him who gave her the poem.
"January embers" she said.
"My heart burns there too," Ben finished.
"Jesus, fuck" said Richie laughing.
"Oh, God" said Charlie bringing everyone into a group hug.
"Where's Bill?" said Beverly.
Everyone looked around the container and saw Bill, looking at his brother who had his right arm bitten off and holding his paper boat with the other.
"Georgie" Bill said with tears in his eyes.
"What took you so long?" Georgie said in his little voice.
"I was looking for you this whole time"
"I couldn't find my way outta here. He said I could have my boat back, Billy" he said mentioning to the clown.
"Was she fast?"
"I couldn't keep up with it"
"She," Georgie. You call the boat "she."" Bill said remembering he told his brother the boat was a she before he took it outside.
"Take me home, Billy .. I wanna go home" he said. Tears strolled down Bill's cheeks.
"I miss you. I wanna be with Mom and Dad"
"I want more than anything for you to be home. With mom .. and dad. I miss you so much" he said to his brother.
"I love you, Billy"
"I love you, too"
Bill then took out the gun that he got from Mike and pointed it at Georgie, who started crying.
"But you're not Georgie," he said before pulling the trigger. When he did, Georgie fell onto the ground apparently dead. Everyone looked surprised.
Then the body started to uncontrollably shake and Georgie yelled. White clown clothes with red pom poms appeared. The clown was forming. The legs and arms grew out from the tiny body and then so did the head. The clown stood up and looked at Bill, foolishly.
"Kill it, Bill! Kill it!" the Losers yelled at him. Bill charged the gun once more and pointed at the head of the clown.
"It's not loaded" said Mike, he accidentally dropped the rest of the bullets into the well when Bowers attacked him and Charlie. Charlie looked at Mike remembered. She saw the bullets fall into the darkness.
"Do it now, Bill! Kill it! Kill it!" Everyone else was still yelling at Bill to kill the clown.
"Hey! It's not loaded!" Charlie yelled.
Bill still pulled the trigger but the clown didn't get hurt at all. He then charged at Bill and everyone came at the clown. They all tried to attack the clown in any way possible. They would try to drag him down to the ground and hit him with the rods. The clown would transform from everyone's fear to scare them off. Charlie whacked him with the bat multiple times but he kicked her back. Stand and Richie would grab his arms to pull him to the ground but were thrown off to the ground. Ben and Beverly tried to hurt him with the rods but were unable to when IT threw them back. Charlie then jumped on his back and dug her fingers into his throat so he's choke but he grabbed her and threw her against the wall, hitting her head at the same spot as before, making her dizzy. As Mike went to check on her, Bill was then on IT's back when the clown grabbed him, flipped him over, and grabbed him by the throat so he wouldn't get away, everyone stopped and looked at them.
"Let him go" Beverly said.
"No" the clown said.
"I'll take him. I'll take all of you. And I'll feast on your flesh as I feed on your fear". Everyone looked at him. Charlie stood up and was in between Mike and Richie, standing in anger at the clown. She gripped her bat tightly.
"Or, you'll just leave us be. I will take him, only him and then I will have my long rest and you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives until old age takes you back to the weeds"
"Leave..." Bill said in a raspy hoarse voice.
"I'm the one who d-dragged you all into this. I'm s-sorry" he said.
"S-Sorry" the clown said mimicking Bill and laughing.
All the Losers looked at each other.
"Guys, we can't!" Beverly said.
"I'm s-sorry" he said.
"I told you, Bill" Richie said.
"I fucking told you. I don't want to die. It's your fault" everyone looked at him to see the point he was trying to make.
"You made me walk through shitty water, you brought me to a fucking crackhead house" he said listing all the things on his fingers and he walked toward the kids belongings.
"And now..." he said looking at him and grabbing the bat from Charlie which she handed to him.
"I'm gonna have to kill this fucking clown" the clown then threw Bill on the floor.
"Welcome to the Losers' Club, asshole!" Richie yelled as he charged at the clown.
Everyone then followed suit. Hitting him with chains and rods and anything they could find they tried and hurt him. They were cornering him, when the clown was on the ground getting weak. IT then changed its face to Beverly's dad and looked at her.
"Hey, Bevvie. Are you still my little..." he said until Bev drew her sharp rod into IT's mouth, making his look out in surprise. She then let go of the rod and backed away. The clown spit out the rod and backed away from the Losers, leaning against a hole.
"That's why you didn't kill Beverly" Bill said.
"'Cause she wasn't afraid, and we aren't either. Not anymore. Now you're the one who's afraid. Because you're gonna starve" Bill said.
"He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghost. He thrusts his fists against the p-p-post" the clown said, saying the lines that Bill would always say to get rid of his stutter.
The clown then flipped backwards and went inside the hole, still holding onto the edge. The friends all stood over the scared clown. Richie handed Bill the bat and Bill raised it to hit him, about to hit him until the clown cowered away and went more into the hole but still held onto the edge. Chips of his white head started to float off from his head as he said his final word ...
"Fear..." and then dropped into the hole, getting lost forever.
The Losers then stood undefeated. They won.
"I know what I'm doing for my summer experience essay" Richie said.
They all walked away from the hole. Beverly hugged Bill. Mike went up to Charlie and they hugged, she now finally felt safe. Richie put an arm on Eddie's shoulder and gave a small smile at him, which then Eddie returned, until he looked up.
"Guys," Eddie said. "The kids .. they're floating down".
The floating missing kids were indeed returning back to ground level. As everyone stood looking, Bill walked over to the pile of belongings and grabbed a yellow rain jacket, with the name of Georgie. Everyone then went up to Bill, feeling sorrow for their friend and his brother. Bill then started to cry, and put his head into the jacket, missing his brother dearly. Everyone laid a hand on his shoulder and back, which then formed into a group hug of the Losers Club.
