He opens the door with a huge smile on his face."Hey.. Jess what's wrong?"The grin fades, just like my confidence. I think about turning back but it's better to tell him."Max.. I.."I can feel the tears already. I promised myself I wouldn't cry."I don't think the relationship is going to work out!""What!"

Time skip"So you're moving?" Tears are now rolling down his cheeks too."No, oh no..""I know, but it's okay. We'll have to wait, but it'll be worth it!"Max smiles up at me."How long?""Oh I don't know, my parents like to move around every 6 months so I'll just have to persuade them to move back here when they're bored of Edinburgh!" I grin.His watery blue eyes make him look so vulnerable and so damn cute! This will be harder than it looks.

"Jess, I love you so much!""I love you too..""I'm being serious, I've never felt love like this before, I think this is what it feels like when you meet your soulmate.""Max, stop! Moving dayHarvey pulls my suitcase into my car."You should get a job as suitcase packer, you must be a pro at it by now!" I say."Yep, looka these muscles!" Harvey flexes and I give a sad little laugh.

"Oh Jess, don't. You'll set me off! I'm going to miss you so much. You're like the bestest friend I've ever had!" He gives me the longest hug of the century. "Promise you'll stay in contact?""I promise with all my heart!"Then the tears really do come out, all three of us crying like mad.

"Don't, I don't want your last memory to be me snivelling like a baby!" Max says.I smile although I'm still crying."I just want to say, you two are the best things that have ever happened to me, honest. These past 6 months I've felt so alive! Both of you being a smile to my face, make me a better person, give me a better life. I love you more than you'll ever know or be able to understand!" I take a deep breath and we all give each other a huge hug.

"Jess, come on get in the car!" Mum Says."Farewell my friends, see you again soon!"

"Very very soon." They simultaneously whisper back.
