Chapter 15: Necklace

“See that star?” Mark asked as he was pointing to a star.

I was also looking at that star.

“Yeah.” I said.

“I’m going to get it for you.” he said.

He then acted like he was getting the star. He put his hand on the location of the star, so I wasn’t able to see that star. He was trying to pull it.

“Ah. It’s hard to get the star.” Mark said.

I laughed at him because he’s acting silly.

“As if you really can get it with your bare hands. The star is larger than us.” I told him.

He put his hand inside his pocket then suddenly put it up again, trying to reach for the stars.

“It’s impossible you know. Stop making me laugh.” I said.

He again tried to pull something in the air.

“That’s what makes it possible too.” he said. Then a necklace fell from his hand.

A star necklace.

He was still holding that necklace. I can see it shine so bright. It’s beautiful.

“I told you I can get that star.” he smiled.

I looked at him and smiled.

I don’t know what to feel. I’m with you today.

I’m falling Mark. I’m falling.

“Okay fine.” I said while smiling then he suddenly turned my back and put the necklace on me.

I was shocked.

“Just stay still.” he said.

He put the necklace on me. I can’t stop to smile.

I feel like Mark likes me. I hope so. Please. Cause I like him soo much.

“Do you like me?” Mark asked.

What kind of question is that? Asking a girl.

“What?” I looked at him.

“I asked you if you like me.” he said.

“What kind of question is that?” I said. I immediately removed my eyes from him.

Mark stop asking that question. I like you but I can’t confess that thing to you. Not now. Please.

I looked at him again and saw that he is still staring at me. I removed my look again.

“Always wear that necklace.” he said then his phone rang.

“Hello? Oh okay. I’m going.” he said.

“Rhianne-a, I need to go. I can’t accompany you back at the dorm. Take care.”

And again he kissed me on my forehead before he left.

Mark likes me. He likes me right? I’m not assuming, right?

*slaps my face*

“Rhianne, don’t assume unless otherwise stated.” I told myself.

“Aish. Yah! Why are you making me crazy like this?”

Mark! Why are you making me crazy? Yeah, I’m crazy for you.

“Who are you talking to unnie?”

I looked back and saw Jimin there.

“Oh you’re here.” I said. “How long have you been…”

“I saw everything.” Jimin said. “Are you happy?” she’s teasing me.

She saw everything? -_-

“Mark oppa isn’t like that with Yerin. She never kissed Yerin on her forehead. She just taps Yerin’s head.” Jimin said. “I think he likes you.”

“But he never told me that he likes me.” I said.

*flashback *

*knock knock*

“Ooh, Mark oppa. Why?” Jimin said.

“Is Rhianne there?” Mark said.

Jimin looked furiously at Mark. “She’s not here. She hasn’t return since this morning.”

“Oh, okay. If she came just tell her that I’m looking for her.” Mark said.

“Do you like her?” Jimin asked.

“What?” Mark said.

“I asked you if you like her. Because if you don’t, just stop looking for her.” Jimin said as she closed the door.

“Yah Jimin-a” Mark shouted.

Jimin opened the door again.

“Why?” Jimin asked.

“I just can’t help thinking about her. Jr told me her love story before and… I don’t know. It’s like I want to hug her. It’s like I want to remove all the pain that she is feeling.” Mark said. “I don’t know if I like her. All I know is she’s someone important to me.”

Jimin smiled. “You like her oppa. You just don’t want to admit it because you don’t know if she feels the same way.”

“Maybe, but I don’t know Jimin. I still haven’t figured it out.” Mark said.

Mark then searched for Rhianne while Jimin is following Mark.

*end of flashback*

What Jimin told me made me smile wide. I don’t know but my heart beats fast. Is this finally the moment I’m going to fall in love with someone who likes me too?

“But be careful with Yerin. She’ll get mad.” Jimin said.

We all know that Yerin likes Mark so much. She even took a picture of herself together with the stuffed toy Mark gave her and uploaded it on her Instagram account.

“Then, I should not admit that I like Mark. Even if Mark will admit that he likes me, I’ll not accept it.” I said.

“No, that’s not what I meant. If you really like Mark then you should go grab it.” she said.

“But I’m afraid, Jimin. What if Yerin gets mad at me? I can’t handle it.” I said.

“Never be afraid to be loud about your feelings, be afraid to have no voice to say those feelings out. Never be afraid of others’ thoughts, be afraid of not being true to yourself.”

Jimin then hugged me.

“Know what, I really like you Jimin. I feel like I have a sister.” I said.

She hugged me tighter then she smiled.

GOT7 practice room

“Hyung, where have you been?” Jr said while he was fixing something in the studio.

“I gave her the necklace.” Mark said.

Jr looked so surprised.

“You already confessed?” Jr said.

“It’s not that. I just gave her the necklace. I didn’t tell her that I like her.” Mark said.

“But…” Jr said.

“Okay everyone. On Friday, you’re going to be performing ‘A’ on Simply KPOP. I want you all to practice the new step. I don’t want any mistakes.” Park Noh Young said.

“Ne.” everyone said.

They started practicing but it seems like Mark is not on the mood to practice. JB noticed that Mark is not with himself.

“Yah, Mark hyung, are you alright?” JB asked while tapping his back

“Oh, yeah. I’m sorry. I was just thinking of something.” Mark said as he was scratching his nape.

Jackson suddenly put his arms on Mark’s head then pulled him outside the door.

“Leader! 5minutes break.” Jackson said as he used his other hand to wave at JB.

“Okay everyone. Let’s have a break first.” JB said.

‘What happened to Mark’ JB said in his mind.

Everyone was resting meanwhile Jackson and Mark,

“What happened? Are you dumped?” Jackson said.

“I didn’t tell her. I think it’s not yet the right time.” Mark said. “We only met for a few times. I’m not yet sure with my feelings.”

“*sigh* Okay. As you say. But what did you do?” Jackson asked.

“I gave her the necklace and asked her if…” Mark suddenly stopped.

“If?” Jackson said.

“If she likes me” Mark said.

Mark suddenly realized what he said,

 “Kyaaaa! Why did I say that? Jackson, you tell me, why did I say that?”

“Ugh, I don’t know with you.” Jackson said pretending to be innocent.

“Ahhh. -_- I’m doomed.” Mark said.

“Don’t worry Mark. It’ll gonna be fine. I think Rhianne is not the type of girl who’ll avoid you just because of that.” Jackson said.

“I hope so. *sigh*” Mark said.

“Guys, break is over. We still have to practice.” JB suddenly said.

They went back to practice suddenly Mark saw in the window, Rhianne and Jimin walking. They both stopped and then Rhianne smiled at Mark while holding the necklace.

‘Thank you’ Rhianne said.

Mark smiled and felt relieve after Rhianne said it.

15& Dorm

Jimin and I walked down and we saw GOT7 practicing. Mark looked at me. I paused for a bit and told him ‘Thank you’ and he smiled. Starting today, I’m going to wear this always. I promise.

When we came to the dorm, Yerin was there. She looked at me and suddenly approached us.

“Unnie” Yerin said. “Why are you with Mark oppa earlier? I saw you with him inside the music room.”

“Yah Yerin, what kind of approach is that?” Jimin said.

“I used to be there alone, Yerin. Suddenly Mark came” I said.

“I hope you’ll not get too attached with him. Just stay friends nothing more nothing less.” Yerin said. Then she went back to what she was doing.

“What kind of attitude is that?” Jimin whispered to me.

“Never mind it.”

I went to my room.

I again touched the necklace Mark gave me.

“Is it a sign of confession, Mark? Do you like me too? Or are you just returning the favor?” I told myself.

I never received a gift from someone without any reason. I mean, I received gifts because it’s my birthday, or it is Christmas or there’s an occasion. Now, I received a gift with an, ‘I don’t know’ reason.

Yerin suddenly entered my mind.

“Rhianne, you should not think of Mark liking you. Yerin likes him.” I told myself again.

“But, Mark doesn’t like Yerin.” I again said.

AAAHHHH! I’m going crazy with these stuffs.

Who to choose?

Mark or Yerin? -_-
