15:46, 12 May 2025Kamala's POV
The sun peeked through her curtains like it had something to prove.
I'd barely slept. Not because I was uncomfortable—God, no. Her bed was warm, her legs tangled with mine, her curls spilled across my chest like in water. I didn't sleep because I didn't want to miss a second of this.
She looked so peaceful.
I didn't want to wake her. But when I shifted just slightly, her lashes fluttered, then her voice, thick with sleep:
"Where're you going?"
I smiled. "Nowhere. Just stretching."
She groaned, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer.
"Mmm, five more minutes," she mumbled into my neck. "Or like... forty-five."
I chuckled. "You're clingy in the morning."
She cracked an eye open. "You're lucky I didn't cuff you to the bed."
"Oh?" I raised a brow. "Is that your thing?"
She didn't answer. Just grinned sleepily and kissed my collarbone.
"Don't tempt me, professor."
I could feel my heartbeat in places it had no business being this early.
"Don't call me that in bed," I warned, breath shaky.
"What, professor?" she whispered, dragging her lips up to my jaw.
I flipped her gently, rolling us so I hovered over her. "You're playing a dangerous game, Mariah."
"Yeah, well." She grinned. "I like danger."
I kissed her again. Deep. Slow. Lazy.
We stayed like that—wrapped up, undisturbed—until her phone buzzed. She ignored it. Until mine did, three times.
I sighed. "I have to go soon."
She frowned immediately. "The trip?"
I nodded. "Conference in New York. Just a few days."
She didn't say anything.
"Mariah," I said gently, "I'll call. Text. FaceTime. Everything."
She stared up at me. "You better."
"I promise."
I kissed her one last time—one that lingered, just in case I couldn't sleep again without it—and when I finally pull away, she pulled me back.
"Wait."
I turned.
"Be safe," she said softly. "And... don't do anything stupid."
I knew what she meant.And I deserved.
"I won't."_______
Mariah's POV
The days felt longer without her.
Kamala had been gone for three, but every minute she wasn't here—wasn't touching me, wasn't teasing me, looking at me like I was hers—felt like a week. She kept her promise though. Called every night. Checked in. Sent pictures of the fancy-ass hotel she was staying in, her view of the skyline, the little espresso cups that made her feel "European and important."
Tonight, she FaceTimed me.
Right as I was finishing a paper.
She didn't even say hi.
She just raised an eyebrow and smirked through the screen. "You look tense."
"I am tense," I muttered, adjusting my laptop. " this international relations essay is kicking my ass."
Her voice dropped. "Want me to take your mind off it?"
I stilled.
"...Kamala."
"What?"
"Don't play with me right now."
She smiled—slow, smooth, deliberate. The kind of smile she gave me when she knew exactly what she was doing.
"I'm not playing, cariño," she said softly, her eyes dark on the screen. "I miss you."
My stomach flipped. My thighs clenched under the blanket.
"I miss you too," I whispered.
She shifted on the bed. Her robe slid down her shoulder.
"What're you wearing?" She asked, voice low.
I swallowed. "A tank top. And nothing else."
She exhaled. "Say that again."
I bit my lip. "I'm not wearing anything under this, Kamala."
"Fuuuck," she breathed, sitting up straighter."Show me."
I hesitated. Just a beat.
Then I turned the camera slowly, giving her a glimpse—my bare thighs, the edge of my top riding up, the way my body arched just slightly as I laid back.
Her voice cracked. "You're gonna kill me."
"Good," I said, dragging the camera back to my face. "You deserve it."
Her mouth parted. "Touch yourself for me."
My heart pounded.
And I did.
Slowly. Nervously at first, but once I saw her licking her lips, her breath uneven her eyes locked on me through the screen, I lost the hesitation.
She coached me. Soft words. Deep tone. Telling me how beautiful I looked. How she couldn't wait to do it herself when she got back. How good I made her feel without even being there.
She came undone first—quiet, breathless, biting her lips to stay silent.
And when I did, I moaned her name like it was the only one I knew.________
