06. The day out

Ophelia's POV

I wake up on a bed, only it's not mine. While getting used to the lamp I move my feet just so I know that I am still alive. I move my body into an upright position.I hear soft footsteps and the door to my left creaks open, in walks a man, one of Dennis's friends, he has a more feminine walk and he put a lot of thought into his clothing.

"Oh you are awake~! I have heard a lot about you!" I'm about to stand up but the man pushes me down.

"No,no! You had quite the hit. You should stay in bed. My name is Barry! I am the keeper of the light. I decide who gets to take the light!And you.. You are Ophelia. You are a friend of Dennis and Hedwig."

He energetically waves his hands around while he talks, suggesting that he likes to talk a lot. I analyze him while he talks.

I found out that he has a love for fashion and is quite energetic. He has a feminine touch and designs fashion items and clothing.

"So now I want to know a bit about you!" I knew that there had to be something he wanted.

"How old are you? What are your hobbies? What is your favourite colour?"

Easy questions, phew. I suspected that he would ask some more personal questions.

"I am 20 years old, my hobbies.... I don't have any hobbies? And my favourite colour is a light shade of blue."

He nods. "Hmm... Alright! Let's go!"

Go where? I don't have any time to ask because he drags me along, and next thing I know, we're outside and he's happily talking to me and still holding on to my arm.

We are at a mall. A mall.

Barry insisted on buying clothes for me since mine weren't fashionable enough and Dennis kept saying that they weren't clean.

I feel weird. I should be terrified of this man, he did after all kidnap me. But he doesn't feel like a monster...Logic would point otherwise but I have abandoned all logic since the day I met them.

He points towards a store and pushes me inside, gives me some money and promises that he'll be back.

I look around and decide that a nice dress and some sweatpants and shirts will do.

I take a red fancy dress and want to look at the sweatpants when Barry storms inside and demands that I buy some skirts and blouses.

"But I have never worn them! Why can't I just buy some pants?!" I pout at him and he laughs, "Because it will fit you well! Trust me and please take that red dress, it looks stunning." I meekly nod and let him pay for me, which I feel guilty about.

"Now let's get some shoes!" I look at mine. "These are fine." He looks at them and scrunches his nose. "They are at their end hun."

We ended up buying two pairs of stilettos and a pair of booties. Finally, we sit down and Barry orders some food.

His sits down, next to me, and faces me.

"Today was the must fun I've ever had!"

I lightly take his hand and smile. "Yes, it was really fun, only that one lady who y-" "That was not my fault!" we laugh and eat our food.

----

Me and Barry take the metro back home and slump down onto the couch that he replaced last week.

"Can I ask you something?" He nods and looks at me. "Where are Marcia and Claire?" His face turns pale at the mention of them both. "I...Uhh... They-They a-are...Where are they?Dennis told me he let them go.." Let them go? So they are safe?! Phew such a relieve. Barry abruptly stands up and runs off.

What happened?

Dennis returns and grabs me by my neck, his eyes are wild and glossy.

"Don't ever talk about those two girls with Barry again. Understood."

I can't respond due to the air which struggles to enter my lungs. "UNDERSTOOD?" He bellows. "Y-ye-yes!" He lets go of my neck and I cough at the amount of air entering my lungs. "I'm sorry." He says before stomping off.

I am actually terrified, terrified of losing them.

Hello!

I loved the idea of Barry and Dennis both falling for Ophelia! So I am slowly incorporating this into the story but since Dennis has his dominant traits, I do still want to highlight them but don't worry!
