The cold breeze hit his sculpture like body but it can't compete with the cold gaze his eyes holding. He stood there alone.. Watching the city full of tall buildings.. colourful lights emitting from the vehicles on road... He stared at the dark night sky which was dull without stars and moon ..just like his life right now .. He stared at it with a lifeless gaze in his eyes and sighed.

"lucas.. " a voice called for him from behind, he turned around.

"everything is solved we can go back now.." he said and smiled at him. Lucas just nodded his head and walked past him.

Smile disappeared from the guy with white hair ..

" lucas..." he called for his friend and he stopped in the way.

"do you even see your face in mirror these days..? You looks Haggard.. Why are making yourself suffer like this..? Just go and meet her.. I never see you smile even once in these five years.. you are living like a dead.. Isn't it suffocating..? living a life as good as dead..? Why can't you just go to her..? " he asked in a frustrated tone. he hate to see his friend in that state.

" I can't "

lucas replied in a blank tone. He went inside his room and closed the door with a loud thud sound.

" sir Ijekiel .. The.. "

" come after 10 minutes "

he cut off the guy and sent him back.. He walked towards lucas's room and looked inside through the glass window with a worried face and sighed.

'he was at it again.. He is drinking more than usual today I guess it's because it's her birthday..? Can't you just atleast talk With her through call ..? It's not like she will be in  danger just by doing that..' he thought and sighed.

'lucas.. Is the current boss of dL corporations.. One of the richest in the country and they Basically are like a mafia gang but they protects so many Small companies under them so they have a huge number of enemies.. we are together since we were five, our father's are friends. Lucas hated being the son of mafia more than me but after his dad got sick, he forced him to took Over the company cause if the boss is weak the thousands of families protected under them will be destroyed.. He had to choose between the two and he chose to save the people under this company over the love of his life.. And look at him now living hopelessly like this... But I can understand his feeling

if he didn't loved her, he wouldn't have choosed this path. his father forced him using his weakness.. It's only her.. He never feared anything since he was a child.. The only fear he had was losing her.. his father used that to made him do that.. That annoying man.. Haah.. I really can't able to see him like this.. ' kiel thought and sighed in frustration. He went to his room and shut his door..

Lucas Sat on the floor leaning on the bed with liquor in his hand.. He gulped half of the bottle in one go and breathed  heavily.. He was drenched in sweat.

.' sia... Can you Please f*cking stop coming in my dreams..? I really miss you.. I miss you like hell that I want to run to you.. The sound of your laughter and the way you sweetly call my name keep echoing in my ears,

when I close my eyes... your bright smiling face.. That insanely beautiful face .. The way your long wavy platinum blonde hair flutter in the air.. The way you always hold my hands.. I miss them like Hell .. Your warm hugs.. Your sweet lips.. I can't forget even a single thing about you ... I wanted to get away from you.. But your memories are killing me day by day... I never thought I would be this weak when it comes to you.. If I didn't loved you back then.. would I have felt a bit better now...?

Heh.. But I am sure .. even if I turn back time and went to past..I will fall In love with you again.. My days with you are the only thing that made me live and also the same thing that is torturing me like this.. Damn it... I really want to hug you.. Keep you within my arms forever.. But.. I am afraid of losing you more than that... I can't even imagine losing you.. Haah...how long do I have to live like this .? Can't this hopeless days end soon..? '

he thought and sighed... tears dripped down from his Ruby red eyes..

He lied down in the floor which is not as cold as his life right now... The room was dark and the dark clouds finally letting the moonlight hit his porcelain face through the glass windows.. ...

" athy.." jennete called out for her cousin.

" I am here Jenny".

Athy said leaning on the balcony rail sipping her coffee

" wow... you already unpacked and arranged everything..? Are you even human..? Even a day isn't over since you entered this place." jennete said in a dramatic way.

" I have morning shift tomorrow so I have to" athy shrugged.

"yeah.. The great .. Dr. Athanasia de Alger obelia.. Youngest to become the chief Dr.. I am so proud of you.. But.. can you please stop overworking yourself..? It's my kind request" she said and leaned on the rail beside her.

"pfft.. Yeah yeah.. I will consider that" athy said giggling..

"seriously.. I am getting frustrated just by looking at you.. Why the hell are you working this hard..? You are the one who wanted to live a carefree life more than anyone else back then..."

she started nagging athy and she just stood there silently without minding her cousin's words .

" or is it because of him..? You still can't forget about him and working hard to avoid your feelings of  missing him..? "

Jennete asked in a irritated tone. Athy froze on the spot and didn't utter a single word back..

" come on athy.. It's  five years already and you are still waiting for him to return..? " she asked in a frustrated tone.

" I am not waiting.. "athy replied in Low voice.

" wow.. You should be given lover of  the century award for this.. That bastard.. If he want to leave he should have left silently.. He left you with a splitting image of himself.. Why.. So that you Will suffer forever thinking about him..?"

she shouted and she stopped when athy placed  her coffee mug in the table with a loud thud sound.

" jennete.. I know you are worried about me.. but don't talk like that one more time.. I already told you countless times he doesn't know anything about Theo.. And he being the splitting image of him was not suffering but happiness to me.. He is the gift of our love.. Please don't say it like that again.. "

Athy said in a sad tone and rushed to her room and shut her door.

Jennete stood there with a worried face.. 'I know that very well.. I am just mad that jerk left such an angel like you alone.. If you love him that much just go to him.. what if he didn't come ,you can go to him right..? Why can't you athy..?' she thought and left out a sigh.

Athy Sat in her bed and tears dribbled down her cheeks.. She caressed the head of  the little boy with black  hair and red eyes who is the splitting image of the love of her life.. She smiled looking at him sleeping peacefully .

' yeah.. It's ok.. Even if I  can't be with him.. I have you.. I am more than OK with that My baby..Theo.. lucas.. Yeah I can't forget about him even for a day.. He.. I hope He is living fine.. Please stay safe wherever you are.. Lucas.. ' she thought as she lied down beside him and hugged him tight and slowly fell asleep...."sir.. Here.." a guy rushed towards kiel  and handed him a cover "

Ijekiel swiftly went inside his room and locked the door.. He opened the cover and smiled looking at the photos

'wow look at him.. Our junior lucas.. He looks exactly like Him.. I am glad they are doing fine.. God please help me  out this time.. I purposely made lucas stay in the same city as athy transferred to.. I made him stuck here for a year please let them reunite within this time.. ' kiel prayed and sighed. He again stared  at the photo and a small smile left his lips..

' you are also doing fine right..? Athy.. Yeah.. I used to have crush on her.. Well.. Who didn't.. She was like a goddess.. I thought lucas was a lucky fella that he got a godess as a girlfriend but I didn't expect them to end up like this.. But you know what athy.. lucas loves  you more than you think.. '

he thought and he heard the tapping sound of door he put  the photos back inside the cover hide it under his bed and rushed outside.

"ohh.. Lucas you are here.. Let's go.."

he said with a sheepish smile as he dragged lucas with him. they were on thier way while kiel was driving.. He peeked at lucas time to time and sighed.

'I feel like I am sitting beside a zombie look at his dark circles and he become thinner than before.. Should I tease him that  I look more handsome than him Now..? No he won't even budge.. If it was him from before he would proudly say he is the most handsome one.. I strangely miss that rude  lucas .. He is always in a  state of meloncholy and he become more matured in this five years.. he become More reliable now.. I feel like I am immature if I was with him. 'kiel finally  reached thier destination and his train of thoughts also stopped from running.

"kiel.. Are you sure this is the place..? Something is not right here" lucas said in a blank tone.

"yeah.. This is the pla..what..? Why the lights suddenly went out.. What's happening.." kiel stood there stupified and he can hear fighting sounds..

"oh shit.. These idiots.." he thought as he felt someone approaching him..

The sound of glass shattering.. Steel sheets rumbling.. and sound of people Groaning in pain.. fighting.. Metals clinking can be heared then a loud sound suddenly made everyone walking in The street nearby turn towards that old rundown factory.

"kiel watch out"

"lucas....no... "

. . . "Dr. Athanasia.. about the patient in.." a guy ran behind  athy who is walking fast with her hands on her white court pocket.

"wow she is so beautiful.. Is she the cheif  Doctor  you said joined today..? She looks so Young though.." a staff nurse whispered to the other standing beside her.

"yeah She is.. Don't get fooled by her appearance okay.." she said in annoyed tone.

"oh my  looks Like you don't like her much huh..?" another girl commented.

"yeah pfft... she don't like her.. We went to the same medical school.. She was the top Student and she is really talented in everything.."

"what if she is  talented..? She is such a bitch.." that girl snorted again.

"hey even if you don't like her this is too much" one of the girls said.

"too much you say.. You know what..? she already have a five years old son but she isn't even married" that girl said with a smirk.

"what really..?" the other girls asked gasping.

"yeah.." she said and continued talking shit about athy.. One of  the girls didn't liked it and went away.

"what if she have..? Atleast she didn't aborted or something and raising him..what did they get from talking Behind someone's back...?" that girl mumbled as she walked in the corridor.

"I know Right..? I also have the same doubt for a long time.." she heared a sweet voice and jerked to see athy walking beside her.

" I... I.. I am... Sorry mam.. I.. I really." she started babbling and athy chuckled.

"it's okay.. I am Not mad at you.." she said patting her back..

"th.. Thank you.. But are you okay..?". She asked with a concerned face.

"yeah it's okay I am Used to this in fact.. I am tired of this now.." she said and smiled at her. The girl zoned out looking at her .

'wow.. Her smile Is radiating what is that behind her..? a hollow...? Is she even human..? I feel better just by looking at her face.. She is such a rare beauty..' she thought and stared at her with heart eyes.

"are you there..?" she heared athy's voice and came Back to Senses ..

"I.. I.. Sorry mam.. My Name is bella I am new staff nurse here please take care of me In the future"

she said with a bow but surprised to see athy offered  her hand for handshake. She held her arm Nervously..

"hii.. Nice to meet you.. I am Athanasia. Please take care of me too"

she said and bella shrinked  her eyes 'haaa... Too Bright.. I think I Have to get used to This..' she thought and shakes hands with her.

"Dr!! Emergency!!. There was a emergency case but other Dr s are not available at this moment will You come..?" a staff said panting.

"OK. Let's go.." she said and started walking fast.. She heard the sound of  the ambulance as she went out.. Her heart thumped faster and she felt shivers all Over her body..

' what is this ominous feeling..? It's not my first time seeing emergency case.. Why I feel Like this..?' she thought and she froze on the spot when they opened the ambulance door  And pulled down the stretcher..her eyes were wide from shock and she felt  paralysed.. She can't hear anything and she felt dizzy.. The stretcher was taken inside in a rush and she followed it without knowing herself..

"athy..."

she heard a familiar voice and turned to see kiel standing there panting.. Shivering with blood dripping from his head.. She came back to her senses and called for nurse and went towards operation theatre. Kiel sat there with a guilty face as he was getting treated. After few hours athy came out of the operation theatre and let out a sigh in relief.

"athy.. How is He..?" kiel asked as he slowly walked towards her.

"he.. He is out of danger now.." she said in a slow voice and he sighed in relief.

"haah... Thank God..." he said as he almost fell down but Sat on the chair beside for support

"kiel.. Will you explain me what's going on..?" athy asked in a low cold voice looking down. Kiel gulped and stared at her with a guilty face.

"I am really sorry athy.. I know. I can't justify my actions with a simple sorry but I don't Know what to do.. He took The stab instead of me... We don't know it  was a trap and caught in that..it  must be one of  our enemies it will be  Sorted out later.." kiel Said and bowed down as an apology.

" I am not asking about that shit.. I am Asking why he is like this..? " she asked in a furious tone and kiel got shivers just by looking at her. 'she sure is scary when she is mad'. He thought and gulped.

" well.. That.."

" ohh you were here why did you get up from the bed please come with me we have a  test to take for you" a staff nurse interrupted their conversation .

"that .. I will come in.." kiel stuttered as he was already nervous to talk with athy.

"it's ok go we can talk later" athy said in a calm tone and the nurse took kiel away.

"yeah.. I Will explain everything.. Please wait a bit.." he said while he was dragged by the nurse. Athy sighed and Sat on the chair.. She covered her face with her palms and her lap get soaked with tears .

"athanasia .."

she heard a girl calling her and looked up to see a girl with long black hair staring at her. She looked at her wide  eyed and stood up a bit irritated.

"you can't go inside now... Please come later"

she said looking away and was about to walk past her but she grabbed her hand.

"athanasia please.. Wait.. I am not here to see him I came to Meet you" that girl said In a calm tone and athy froze in her place.

"what is it..? Helena.."

"can we sit and talk..? Please.. It's may be my last time talking with you" she said in a pleasing tone and athy turned and stared at her confused. She slowly walked and Sat on the chair.

" are you doing well..?" helena asked and there was no answer from the other side.

" well.. I met jennete before you so I think I can skip that part.. First of all.. I am really sorry for all the troubles I gave you.. I know I am not worthy of your forgiveness but I atleast want to ask one last time..

You know what.. Three years ago my Wedding was arranged in a grand manner at lucas 's house "she said and paused athy felt a prick in her heart.

' please don't say something I can't bear 'she prayed internally.

" and.. What's the funny thing was.. the groom himself don't know that it's his marriage.. Of course I am talking about lucas.. I was about to wear my wedding dress when he came to Meet me.. he simply told me to stop the wedding myself because he don't want to embrasse  me in front of everyone saying he don't want to marry me.. " she said and stared  at athy. Athy looked up at her surprised.

" pfft.. But even to my surprise I didn't felt sad , mad or anything.. I just smiled at him and said OK and stopped the marraige.. Can you believe it..? Even I can't believe myself at that time.. In the past how much I pestered him to love me how much I hated you that he loves you.. But when I got the chance to make him mine I can't do that.. Then I realised why.. after a long time.. That day I was surprised not because of what he told me since I know he will definitely do that.. But I was surprised he approached me first.. If it was the lucas I know he would have definitely said he doesn't want to  marry me in front of everyone but the lucas I saw that day was yours..pfft it's cringe to hear right..? But yeah that day I realised how much he loves you to do the things he learned from you.. He really changed so much after meeting you.. And even more after leaving you..

that day I finally came to my senses  that no matter how hard I try.. Lucas will only have athanasia in his heart..

I am going to Australia.. My father got enough of my nonsense and marrying me to his business partner's son.. My marraige was next month.. Here's the  invitation I knew I can't give it like this in hospital but I have no choice . " she said and handed her a card.

" as expected of you..you even sit back and listened to me even take my invitation..  you  are always so kind.. Like an angel.. No wonder that rude punk  become a softie for you .. Pfft... I feel like I am dumb now.. Why did I hated you so much back then ..? Anyway I am really sorry for all that times " she said standing up bowing down. Athy stared at her for a while and a small smile appeared on her face.

" helena.. Congratulations.. On your wedding.. "she said and smiled. Helena looked at her wide eyed in surprise.

" hmm.. Thanks athanasia .. " she said and smiled tears dribbled down from her eyes in happiness.

" then I will get go.. "

" mummy... ". She heard a sweet voice and both the girls turned to thier sides to  see a cute boy running towards them. Helena looked at the boy and gasped in surprise.

Athy knelt down and hugged back the boy who landed on her with a bear hug. She stood up carrying him in her arms. She turned to see helena froze on the place from shock.

"mu..mummy..? Is he.. Lucas's son..? You and lucas have a son..?" she asked still shocked to see  the junior version of lucas in her arms.

"hmm.. Yeah.. He is" athy said and smiled.

"oh.. My.. I have no idea what's going on here..? When did this happen..?  OK leave everything.. I can't take everything you say in one take anyways.. So..I wish you a happy life athanasia .." helena said finally recovering from the shock.

"thanks helena" she said and smiled.

"Theo say hello .. This is helena" she said to her son.

"hello nice to meet you I am Theo" the boy said cutely bowing and helena looked at him with heart eyes.

"hii Theo.. Your name is so cute.. Just like you.. Nice to meet you too I am helena.."

"how old Is he..?"

"he is five years old.." athy said.

"five..? Then.. That time.. Did lucas knew ..?"

she asked completely stupified about the situation. Athy shooked her head as a no and she just nodded a 'oh' and then they talked for a while and she take her leave.

Athy and Theo stood there waving bye to her looking down through glass.

" mommy who is she..?"

"hmm.. My classmate". She told and smiled.

"did my Theo had dinner..?

" hmm.. Aunty made me dinner it was as usual tasted bad but I didn't tell her anything and just give a thumbs up like you said hehe "

he said and smiled innocently. Athy felt like melting looking at his smile.. 'When you smile your eyes shrink the same as his..' she thought and caressed his face.

" my son is such a good boy.. " she said and give a peck on his cheek.

" but mama did you cry..?" he asked tilting his head. Athy smiled at him sheepishly since she knew she can't hide from him.

" why..?"

"Theo.. You knew who your dad right..? " she asked and he was silent for a moment then he  shook his head as a yes.

"mommy showed him to me on photo" he said in a low voice.

"I saw him today.." athy said in a low voice and he looked up at her silently.

"and.. He was sick.. So I felt sad.." she said and caressed his head.

"is he here..?". He asked after being silent for a while.

"hmm.. He is" she said in a soft tone smiling at him. He looked down deep in his own thoughts and slowly looked up

"mama.. can i see him..?" he asked she was  silent for a moment and then nodded a yes. She took him inside the room after they put on PPE and stood near the bed.

Only the beeping sound of machine can be heared he was lying down unconscious and the two stared at him in silence.

"is he okay now..?" theo asked after staring at him for a while..

"hmm.. He is.." she said and smiled. He nodded his head. They headed out after a while and jennete stood outside with a sad face. Athy saw her and walked away knowing she need sometime alone. 'she must have seen kiel.. I think she still loves him.. Look at her now I should take a video and  show it to  her when she advise me about love.' she thought as she is walking.

"theo aren't you sleepy..?"she asked as she saw his eyes were half open. He nodded his head as a no half asleep and she giggled looking at him.

" mama.. Papa is so handsome..he has so many earrings.. And tatoo mama's name..dad is So cool "

he mumbled half asleep and fully closed his eyes. Athy Sat on the chair near  the waiting area and patted his back hugging him . He slept peaceful in his mother's arms. Memories passed her mind like a gentle  breeze.. ---"oh my God !! .lucas..again..? Is there any place left in your ear to be pierced now..?"

"it's just that I liked this design that's why sia.."

"the hell you are .. wipe your tears first.." she said handing her the tissue. 'I am crying..? From when..?' she thought as she took the tissue from her.

"I will take theo home.. If you are that much sad.. just bring him home and make him stay with you.. I can't with you two.." she nagged her as she took theo from her and went home.

She slowly stood up and walked towards his room. She was about to open the door but stopped.. She went near the window and stared outside in a daze..

" oh you are here I searched for you all over.." she turned hearing the voice and kiel was standing there.

" did jennete left..?" he asked and she nodded a yes..

"I see.. About the thing you asked me before.."

kiel told her everything about how lucas was living.. walking around like lifeless corpse.. How he get more colder.. how everyone is afraid to be near him. Athy was shocked and froze at the place..

" please forgive him.. His situation was like that... If you can.. please stay beside him.. Only you can bring the old lucas back athy..".

He said and then take his leave. Athy went inside and Sat near his bed. She slowly grabbed his hand which was cold  with her both hands.. A drop of water fell down on his hand which she is holding ..

'why.. Why are doing this..? I convinced myself you will be fine every damn single day.. But you.. Showing yourself in this state after five years.. You..'

---" Sia.. I know you don't like violence and how much you value your profession as a Dr. But I can't avoid this.. Since you don't like this path and I also don't want to put you in danger.. I am more afraid of losing you than entering this path so I want you to be safe.. Let's break up.. I shouldn't see you again.. But you..' she thought and cried clenching his hand tears clouded her eyes making her vision blurred .. She stood up and was about to go but lucas didn't let go off her hand.

She turned and slowly slid  her hand away from his grip..

"sia..."

Her heart skipped a beat.. She stared at him surprised.. 'it's been so long.. Hearing my name like this..' she thought and her lips curved into a smile.. She saw tears dribbling down from  the corner of his eyes.. She felt a pang in her heart like it was being pulled out tied by a string. Her hands wiped his tears without knowing herself . She stood there staring at him for a while and kissed him on his forehead. She Sat beside his bed and watched over him all night.
