"Boys let's do this!" I hear my mom yell from the hallway before my door is opened.

"God mom, you don't knock?" I groan, turning in my bed.

"Zach, get up, you have 30 minutes." She leaves before going to Gray's room. I yawn stretching in the bed before sitting up slowly. I fell asleep again. I grab my bag, my shoes already on from earlier. I probably passed out. My phone's in my pocket, my chargers in my bag, my headphones in my pocket. I'm good. I walk out the door and run down the stairs. The doors already open.

God this sucks.

I yawn again as I walk to the van. Gray follows behind, zooming past me with a giggle. I shake my head and go to the back, putting my bag in the trunk.

"You comin'!?" Mom tells from the front after locking the door. I roll my eyes at everyone's impatience. I walk to the side door and open it, sitting down.

"Let's get this show on the road." Dad says and I lean my head against the cold window as I un-pause my music.

This is gonna be a long ass week.

When we get to the Dane County Airport, mom makes sure everything on our tickets are correct.

"Everything right on there?" She asks Gray and he nods. I nod my head to the music playing.

"I'm so jealous, your gonna have so much fun there," she giggled, punching Gray's cheek, I just look around at the filled airport.

"ZACH!" I hear my dad yell, making me flinch I look over and mom's holding out the tickets to me.

"Can you hold these? Honey, I need you to take care of these." She pleads and I nod, taking them.

"Yeah," I put them in my jacket pocket.

"Hey," I hear my dad's rough voice say, I look up at him with daggers.

"All right, that's enough," my mom says trying to stop whatever he's about to say from saying it.

"Listen to your mother," he threatens and I clench my jaw. If mom wasn't here...

"Take care of your brother," I peel my eyes from dad, "and answer your phone. I'm serious. It's the green button. When you see my name, push it, okay?" I nod absently.

"And remember, if something chases you..." She paused, particularly trying to tease Gray instead of me, "...run." Gray smiles, I just stare blankly at her and she playfully shoved my shoulder, "Come on!" She giggles.

"Yeah, you're funny," I smile halfheartedly, "Come on, let's go." I take ahold of Gray's arm and usher him towards the plane, "bye." I say specifically to mom.

"I miss you already!" She yells and I nod.

"Yep," I say and turn the corner towards the gate, leaving mom and dad's sight.

As we step on the plane, Gray immediately scavenges for our seats. I can't deal with his enthusiastic attitude, it is way to much to deal with.

"Come on! I found them," he says, sitting next to an old man that's by the edge. I move past both of them, apologizing to the old man who just smiles. I take the window seat thankfully and stare out the window, looking at the people walking in, "are you excited!?" Gray exclaims to me and I just slouch in the seat, ignoring him.

"Aeroporto Juan Santamaria," I try my best to do a Spanish accent with the tongue rolls and everything, it doesn't sound to bad, but it doesn't sound to good, "aeroporto Juan Santamaria..." I continue to try when Gray taps my shoulder.

"What's your favorite dinosaur? Do you know if they have good food? Do they even have food?"

"Of course they have food, Grayson," I roll my eyes and he waits for me to answer his other question, "Spinosaurus." I answer and he gasps.

"Really!? You know their one of the strongest dinosaurs on the pla-"

"Can we not talk? Can we just, sleep?" I suggest and he huffs, I roll my eyes and look out the window.

He has no filter when he's in public. I swear... He's just like dad sometimes...

I look down at my wholesome brother, I smack myself for even thinking that.

No he's not, he's not like dad at all. He's more like mom. I'm probably more like dad. That kills me a little bit.

After finally landing in Costa Rica we are taken to a huge yacht with a bunch of people from all over the world gather on. It's sprinkled in Jurassic Park logos and the Yacht's name.

We move up the dock, stringing our luggage behind us.

"How big is the island?" Gray asks, pulling up the moving dock. We bump into sweaty bodies.

God it's hot.

"Big," I say absently.

"No, I mean pounds." He looks up at me and I narrow my eyes him.

"That doesn't even make sense." I roll my eyes and turn up the volume on my headphones.

When we get on the yacht, our luggage is put in some type of closet. I trail outside to the top railing of the yacht. We stay quiet for about 10 minutes before he's rambling again. I groan and hang my head low.

"When they first opened, they had eight species. Now they have fourteen herbivores and six carnivores. That's like fifty tons of food a week!" He chuckles, looking up at me but I don't say anything, instead I look down at some girls that are standing by the edge.

One's particularly in my view though. She has a white spaghetti strap on, some light high-waisted jeans, with a pair of white shoes. Her hair is down and it whips as the farrey moves father towards Isla Nubar. Her hairs a light brown color and she seems like she should be hanging out with the other girls but instead, she leans onto the railing and keeps to herself. She steps away from it and looks up, most likely sending there's eyes on her. She sees me looking down at her, she smiles but my cheeks flame and I look away.

Soon, I realize I've been looking for way to long when we've already reached the island. The yacht comes to a stop and I grab Gray, glancing at the girl again, she's not there, I sigh.

"Alright come on."
