Goodbye Elsa
06:21, 22 May 2015"Here is your check Mrs. Darling, and her body is being unloaded as we speak." The lawyer said the day of the show.
"Thank you. You may leave now." I dismissed him, "Ima!"
"Yea Lissa?" She waddled in the room, chicken leg in hand.
"Can you tell Jimmy to come in here?"
"Yes Lissa." several moments later he walked in, concern all over his face.
"Are you ok?"
"yea, here is the money to pay off the mortgage." I hand him the envelope I had just received
"What?"
"Elsa, she left me the fortune, use it for the mortgage, we can use the rest for the baby, if any is left over."
"Oh ok, I will tomorrow. When you want to put her in the ground?"
"After the show, I'm singing last so after that works for us."
"What about the kids?"
"They can stay up late just this once." I smiled as he smiled back at me.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we dedicate this final performance of the night to the one who started it all, she believed in her little monsters, she saved us, gave us a home, a job, a family. She left us to go pursue her dream of being in Hollywood and left her masterpiece in the care of my beautiful wife. We are sad to say that she died on Halloween while performing the Elsa Mars Show. Elsa will always be in our hearts and this is for you, one owner to another." Jimmy stepped off to the side as they slowly dragged the rocket across the stage again. I sat there with my black dress and top hat on, red rose in hand, and a bright red pout like hers. Eve began the piano line as Jimmy helped me dismount before disappearing backstage to watch me sing.
When I was done the tent exploded in applause, tears rolling down my face, along with down the faces of the others freak. Yea Elsa was a bitch, killed Ethel, covered it up, left us for her own selfish dream but she impacted the life of every member so much, saved them from a life of rejection and showed them the love they truly desired. The curtain then closed and we waited until the tent was fully empty to file one by one out until we reached the ferris wheel. Her casket sat there in the six foot hole that Eve, Jimmy and Angus had dug earlier.
"Elsa Mars, she was the Savior we all needed, she was a lovely woman who made us a family. She wasn't perfect, like us she was an outcast, she was different, she was a freak. We owe so much to her, she is now in the freakshow in the sky though, performing for the Gods. She will forever be the queen of our lives, and she will be missed." I said, throwing the first shovel of dirt on the grave, "Goodbye Elsa." I whispered.
