Chapter 30

The End Of It All.

The hotel had proved itself to be working and it's worth. Demons all over hell had a change of heart as they rehabilitate and sent to heaven to be in a better place. Of course there's still demons in hell that are just.. they way they are, ya know?

While being in the Hazbin Hotel, demons are given treatments and rules to be followed to test themselves. They aren't allowed to sin or do anything that would cause chaos or trouble or Alastor and Melody would probably do something to the point they're scared of the thought of sinning. 

Currently, there's a small fight in the lobby between two demons. Charlie couldn't do much because Vaggie is out with Slither to put up posters for the hotel. The doors of the elevator opens up as it dings; revealing Melody, she looks ever so calmly with a smile on her face. Charlie turns to her with a helpless look as she only walks up to the gathered demons that are watching the two demons bickering at each other.

"Get." She starts, as her smile turns into a terrifying one. Her aura menacingly flies around the room. "Back." She says again, lifting her hand as her scythe summoned in her hand. "Into." Everyone freezes, feeling her intense aura. "Your room." She finishes as everyone turns to her, their soul leaves their body in fear as their faces turns pale.

"Y-Yes Ma'am!" They shout in unison and disperses into different directions like rats. The woman sighs as her scythe disappears into thin air of sparkly red smoke.  Charlie walks up to her friend and smiles which she returns,

"Thank you, Mel!" She thanked the taller girl which she waves her hand,

"It's a no problem, Red-Cheeks!" She says, "Say, have you seen Sin anywhere?"She asks as she fixes her hair on the side of her face, Charlie smiles brightly as she nods.

"She's in the kitchen helping Alastor!" She answers and Melody nods, waves at her and walks in the kitchen. Charlie watch Melody disappear from her vision of sight before smiling even more. Its been a few weeks after what happened, things been going pretty well; but there's one thing she wants to ask Melody about.

Why did she chose to stay even though she had the choice to leave?

A Few Months Ago

Red smoke covers her and when it disappears, her clothes are changed into a different dress. A red vintage Gothic Lolita dress, the sleeves are puffy and laced up as it shows her shoulders. Her boots are a different kind of ones as it matches her dress, she turns around to everyone with a smile on her face.

"Hazbin Hotel is back in business!" She cheers and everyone smiles, she looks around the lobby in thought as she had a finger on her lips. "This is a bit of a mess." She mumbles as she turns to Niffty, "Nif, let's clean!" And the small demon nods excitedly as they run off together to the backroom. Charlie watch them go as she turns to Alastor who had watched the two disappear.

The Princess walks up to Alastor, the demon looks down at her with raised eyebrows.

"Can I have a talk with you?" She asks, fiddling with her fingers.

"Of course, dear!" He smiles as Charlie nods, the two walks towards the elevator as Charlie presses the button on the various elevator button panels. Inside the elevator is a bit awkward as it stayed silent, 'What is it that you wanted to talk about?" He asks, the elevator opens up as it dings. the two walk out and walk straight to the balcony.

"It's about.. us." She manage to say and Alastor let out a quiet 'oh' of a sigh. The two looks down at the buildings of hell as Charlie inhales, "I'm sorry but I don't think we're going to work out." Charlie says as she smiles awkwardly, "It's not that you're a bad boyfriend, you're great- but-" She stutters and Alastor chuckles.

"Dear, it's alright. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you." He says as he smiles softly with closed eyes. Charlie slightly smiles back as she sighs,

"I just think that.." Charlie trails off as she looks down to see Melody joking around with Slither.

"Hm?" He hums, Charlie smiles down at Melody who had noticed the two as she waves up, Charlie waves back and so did Alastor.

"I think Melody likes you." She smiles and glances at Alastor who had actually looked away and covering his mouth with his hand. "Wait a second.." She whispers as she looks at Alastor, "YOU LIKE HER TOO?!" She shouts and Alastor panics,

"Dear, lower your voice!" Alastor says as he turns to Charlie who have sparkles in her eyes. There's a slight blush across his cheeks, Charlie closes her mouth as she smiles widely behind her hands.

"Am I right?" She asks, lowering her voice. Alastor blinks as he turns away, fixing his monocle and clears his throat.

"Oh dear, would you look at the time!" He suddenly blurts out, looking at the clock tower from where they are standing, Charlie looks over but it's not like he have anything to do.

"Where are you even—" The blonde asks but when she turns to the right, the demon had disappeared. "I- Al!" She shouts in disbelief but the demon is nowhere to be seen. She puff her cheeks and crosses her arms, damn that sneaky demon.

"Charlie?" A voice calls out, the said girl turns around to see Vaggie. The girl immediately smile and blush a little,

"Oh hey, Vag!" She greets as Vaggie walks up to her and joins her by the railing of the balcony.

"I uh- kind of overheard you." Vaggie says, Charlie covers her mouth in surprise. "Is it true?" She asks while leaning forward and whispering, the blonde nods repeatedly.

"Haven't you seen the way Melody looks at him from across the room? But when he's talking and laughing with someone, she would look down and walk away." Charlie says, frowning a little. Vaggie grins,

"She sounds like she got a highschool crush." The moth demon girl giggles and Charlie giggles too.

"She does..!" She whisper shout.

"She does what?" A voice asks as the two jump in surprise and snap their neck to the person behind the two to see Melody looking all innocent. The gothic lolita dress on her makes her look like a little doll.

"Uh, nothing!" Charlie chokes out as she waves her hands around in panic. Melody stares at the two girl for a second as the two glance at each other in fear of the girl seeing through the lies.

"I was thinking.." Melody starts as she looks at the two girls, dead in their eyes. "What flavor of cake should I bake?! Cheesecake or Vanilla?! I can't choose, they're both my favourite!" She whines as the two girl releases their breath that they didn't know they were holding.

"Why not both?" Vaggie replies, Melody's eyes sparkles like they never seen before.

"Oh my god, why didn't I think of that?" She says to herself, the girl waves at the other two. "I'm gonna go bake that now, you two better be down and have some when I'm done!" She smiles and runs away and hops into the elevator.

"That was a close one." Charlie nervously chuckles, Vaggie nods in agreement.

"She's so.. different now." The white haired girl points as she looks at Charlie. The princess nods but she slowly smiles,

"Isn't that a good thing?" Charlie smiles as she turns to look up to heaven, "Maybe she can go up there with her friends too."

Present

Sin pushes the doors of the kitchen with her back as she holds plates of sweets. Charlie smiles at succubus as she smiles back, why is she back in the hotel you ask? Apparently, having Angel and Sin together up there was a bad idea. The two was bored so they decided to create trouble and chaos.

Pulling pranks and such on other angels, even on Virgin Mary! But everyone up in heaven knows they're just bored and it's just how they spend their free time. So Mary decided to let them stay down in hell where they can do whatever they want (with some limits) but they are always welcomed to come back up if they wanted to.

The succubus sets down the treats on a certain table where guests can come and have some while they relax in the lobby where it's now more spacious and more couches and sofas to sit on. There's bookshelves for anyone to read while they rest, even the fireplace is being lit. There are special rooms for each demons and their species like if they can't handle the cold, they can stay in the lobby where it's warmer and if they can't stand the hotness; there's another part of the lobby where it's more colder with air conditioner.

The doors of the lobby opens up with a slight slam to reveal an excited Marcy, Sin and Charlie looks over with widened eyes.

"Ava! Guess what?!" Marcy squeals excitedly. The purple black ombre haired girl looks at her friend and raises her eyebrows,

"What?" She answers, Marcy moves to the side to reveal two people behind her.

"Ta-da~! I finally persuaded Jay to come down and meet the others, he's too skeptical at first but I managed to get him~" Marcy smiles with accomplishment, Sin widens her eyes as she stares at Jay who stares back at her.

"Hey." Jay waves with his free hand as the other holds a hand of a child, Rosie. The little girl gasps in happiness as she lets go of Jay's hand and runs up to Sin, hugging her legs due to the little girl being short. Sin hugs the girl back as she picks up the toddler into her arms.

"Hey there you two." Sin smiles at Rosie and at Jay but it was a nervous smile.

Jay walks up to Sin and Charlie as they chat with each other about the hotel, heaven and such.

"Oh hold on, let me check up on Mel. She haven't walked out of the kitchen when she's supposed to bring out the other cookies." Sin says as she sets Rosie down on her feet where the little girl immediately holds Jay's hand.

"Oh, let me follow you." Charlie says, Sin nods as Jay, Rosie and Marcy walks up to Angel who's playing a game of poker with the other demons.

Sin was about to push open the door when Charlie pulls the girl into a halt, the succubus raises her eyebrows when the blonde haired demon looks through the small window of the door.

"Look..!" Charlie points as she whisper-shout. Sin glances at the girl in confusion before looking through the small window door.

There's Melody and Alastor, Melody is decorating the cookies while Alastor is cooking something in a pot. He turns around, having an apron on him as Melody looks up at him with raises eyebrows.

The deer demon says something before holding up a spoon with the food of what he was cooking. Melody sets down a small bottle of sprinkles on the counter as she tucks a strand of her hand behind her ear and leans forward, putting the spoon in her mouth that the demon is holding.

Sin and Charlie excitedly gasps, they almost lost their breath and choked. Melody chews the food as she backs up and nodding at the demon, giving him a thumbs-up with a big smile.

The demon seemed amused by her reaction as he softly smiles back at her and turn back around to the pot while the girl continues doing what she was doing and finishing. Sin and Charlie decides to walk in because they look weird standing there as the guests walks by them to see them gasping like they're losing air in their lungs.

Melody turns to them when the door opens, smiling at them as they enter.

"Hey hun, you finished?" Sin asks, grinning at her but she doesn't catch the hint as she looks at the cookies and nods.

"Yep! They all look so cute." Melody says as she picks up the plates of cookies and shows them to Sin. There's so many beautiful decorations to the point it would be so hard to even eat them because it's too pretty to eat.

"Let me take that to the table for you!" Charlie smiles as she offers, the black haired girl smiles as she hands the plate to Charlie.

"Thanks, Red-cheeks." She smiles as the girl smiles back and walks out the kitchen. "Al, is it done yet?" Melody suddenly asks as she turns to the demon, the deer demons hums for a moment.

"Almost, dear." He replies, Sin looks at the two.

"What are you making?" She asks with raised eyebrows,

"Jambalaya of course!" The two reply in unison, making Sin blinks in surprise for a moment. When they noticed what had happened, they started laughing together.

'Are.. are they dating in secret or something?' Sin says in her head, watching the two.

"Ah, your apron is not tied properly." Melody says as she notices, she walks around the counter and behind Alastor; helping him. 'YEP, THEY ARE.' Sin shout in her head, they're too cute that the girl can't bare watching or she'll get diabetes.

"Oh, by the way;" Sin speaks up as Melody looks up at her after tying a ribbon on Alastor's apron and humming in reply. "Marcy is here." She answers, the girl gasps as her eyes sparkles.

"Really?! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Melody says as she turns to Alastor, "I'll be right back!" She says as she runs out the door of the kitchen and probably to Marcy and tackling her best friend in a hug.

"Well that was fast." Sin says as she watch the door still moving forward and backwards due to how hard Melody had pushed it open. "Anyways.." She starts as she looks at Alastor with crossed arms, watching the demon set the food he was cooking into a big bowl.

"Hm?" He hums in reply, not looking at Sin due to him being busy.

"Are you and Mel dating behind our backs or something-?" She asks but Alastor jumps as he accidentally chokes and start coughing making Sin jump too.

"Gumdrop, where did you get that idea?" He asks, not looking at her as if trying to hide his face. Sin's eye twitch in annoyance upon hearing that nickname, she moves to the side a bit to see Alastor's face to see him blushing.

"Ah! You two are dati-!" She exclaims, making Alastor appear in front of her and shutting her up by shoving a spoon of jambalaya into her mouth.

"Quiet your yapping!" Alastor says, a bit annoyed. Sin chews the food as she gulps it down, kind of almost speechless due to how good it tasted but she shakes her head away to get back to the point.

"Are you two not?" She asks, lowering her voice. Alastor sighs as his shoulders drop, as if he's a little bit sad but his smile is still there like it always does.

"We are not." He answers, Sin creases her forehead as her eyebrows narrows.

"What do you mean you're not? She confessed to you!" She whisper shout and Alastor fixes his posture and scratch his cheek with his index finger.

"I.. I'm not so sure anymore." He says as he sighs, Sin facepalms. The door of the kitchen opens as Melody and  Marcy walks in.

"Wait, what day is it?" Marcy asks as the two walks over to pick up some plates and put it on a cart to push it outside. Melody hums for a moment before gently putting a stack of plates on the cart,

"Hmm, 3rd March." She replies as she looks up at Marcy, "What's up?" She asks, the girl gasps as she covers her mouth.

"Isn't tomorrow your birthday?!" She blurt out, Sin and Alastor that pretended to do something widen their eyes.

"Well yeah, but I'm already dead; I don't think—" Melody tries to shrug it off but Marcy grabs her friend's shoulders and begin to shake her.

"Nonsense! Back then you're the one that's always excited for birthdays!" She recalls, "To the point you even made surprises!"

"Well uh.." Melody stutters as she scratches her cheek,

"I'm gonna tell everyone about tomorrow!" Marcy says as she nods to herself as dashes out the kitchen doors,

"Wait Mars, no—" Melody couldn't stop her in time as she watch the door swing close. The girl facepalms as she sighs, continuing her work.

Sin gives Alastor a face signal which the demon raise his eyebrows in confusion. She walks closer to him and whispers,

"It's your chance..!" Alastor looks around for a moment,

"Dear, I don't think I—"

"Hmm? What are you two gossiping about? Can I join?" Melody pops out of nowhere between the two, their look of surprise made her giggle. "Just kidding!" She says as she picks up the container full of spoons and forks and walks back to the cart, putting it on it as she pushes it out the kitchen.

Sin looks back at Alastor to see him stare out the door,

"Are you seriously day dreaming, Bambi?" She snorts, the demon glares down at the succubus. Before Sin could say anything more, a loud crash from the lobby made the girl jump.

"ANGELLLL!!" Vaggie's angered shout fills their ears,

"I think you should worry more about yourself, dear." He chuckles darkly, Sin narrows her eye and turns on her heels; running out the kitchen to look at what happened.
