Lies

Melody sighs after sipping her hot tea as she crosses her right leg on the other. Both of her gloved hands holding the cup as she sets it quietly on the table, Alastor watch the girl as he have his own cup of hot black coffee in hand.

"Thanks, Al." Melody thank him as she looks up at him from the cup of tea. The demon only chuckle and wave his free hand,

"It's a no problem, dear. You really need to get away from that fool." Alastor smiles at Melody as she blinks and averts her eyes from his. She rests her head on her palm of her left hand, the other holding the cup as she looks off to the side. She watch all the other demons in the quiet cafe, who knew there's a cafe in hell that'd actually be quiet and peaceful?

"I honestly don't remember the reason why I fell for him." Melody suddenly blurt out as the red demon flickers his eyes from the cup of his black coffee to the girl who have her eyes elsewhere. As if she was talking to herself, Melody continue without looking at Alastor who's staring at her. "I think it's because he was so kind to me, understood me and were the second person to believe that I was human." She slowly whisper out the last few words as she turns and looks at Alastor slowly,

"Oh. Sorry for rambling." The girl notices as she leans backwards and sits upright on her chair. Alastor only smile,

"It's alright, dear." He reassures. "Say, how long have you known the charming demon belle?" Alastor asks out of the blue, making Melody blink for a second in silence.

"What do you mean?" She asks back, repeating his question in her head.

"I saw that you were really close to her, dear and I'd like to be close to her, myself." He smiles as he leans forward with his free hand on his cheek and tilting his head. Melody was taken aback as she seals her black painted lips shut,

"I-" She voice out as she cuts herself short. "I don't think I have the authority to tell you anything about Charlie. I suggest that you get to know her, yourself." Melody looks down to the cup of tea as she empties it and sets it down on the table. She stares down on her empty cup and stands up from her chair, she takes out something from the pocket of her skirt as she puts it on the table.

Its a dollar. She picks up her umbrella that's resting by her chair as she wave slightly towards Alastor,

"I'm gonna go back." She whispers and leaves the cafe in an instant. Alastor watch as she leaves as his smile grows wider,

Almost there.

Melody walks through the streets, a little too fast as she grips her umbrella tightly around her hands. She's so confused, even her face shows it; the itched eyebrows and the visible frown on her lips as her eyes wonder all over the place. The girl been looking down for the whole time as she accidentally bump into someone, she steps back from the impact as she rubs her forehead that had hit the person's back.

"Aye what the fu...ck.." The spider turns around to see Melody as he slowly cuss upon seeing her face, troubled face. Sin looks at Angel as she notices Melody, in her hand is a lollipop.

"Oh. Hey, Mel-" Sin waves but instead of saying anything, Melody just shook her head to herself as she walks to the side and past the two. Sin and Angel watch as the girl walk away, her shoulders are tensed and you can visibly see it before the girl pulls her umbrella even more as it covers half of her body. Sin and Angel looks at one another, "That's not okay." She states out as she points to Melody who's slowly disappearing into the crowd of sinners.

"No shit, babe. I'm actually kinda worried." Angel whispers out as he glances towards where Sin had pointed to see Melody had completely disappeared.

"Let's go find her." Sin says as she grabs one of Angel's arms as she drags him. The spider quickly catch up to the girl as he makes sure he's not tripping from being pulled by the shorter girl.

'Emotions, feelings..' Melody thought in her head as she stares down to her boots as it walk. 'I don't get it. It's so complicated, ugh.' She draws her eyebrows together as she holds her head, a slight headache suddenly appearing. Her vision turns a bit blurry as she walk, not noticing a demon as he bumps into her - more like her umbrella.

Melody looks up from the ground to see a random demon with a pissed off face.

"What the fuck, bitch? Close your damn umbrella, what are you? Some idiotic piece of shit?" He cusses out as he glares down at Melody, the girl did nothing as she stays quiet. "What are you waiting for? Close your stupid umbrella!" He shouts, catching the attention of other demons. Melody looks down as her hair covers her face, she slowly lowers her umbrella to the side as she closes it. Angel Dust and Sin runs around to see some demons surrounding something as they run up to it,

"That's fucking better." The demon growls with a disgusting grin on his face, Sin knits her eyebrows in disgust. But something told her to stay put on where she is standing alongside Angel. Melody didn't say anything back as the demon harshly grabs her chin and lifts her up to face him, "You actually have a pretty face, looks pretty fucking human to me. Are you even dead?" He chuckles.

Sin's breath suddenly turns foggy as the atmosphere turns ice cold. The girl pulls her jacket close to herself as Angel rubs his arms. The other sinners seem to do it too to cool themselves. The television nearby inside of the stores turns static as the loud annoying glitch sound fills the air.

"Don't touch me." Melody whispers as her rich red glowing eyes glares up at the demon, he only laughs as he suddenly grabs her waist without a warning and pulls her close to him. But a red puff of smoke covers the two as Melody disappears from sight, leaving the demon hugging the air with a confused face. Everyone looks around but she's nowhere to be seen, some sinners walks away because it's starting to get boring.

Until it only remained Angel Dust and Sin standing there, without a warning; something flies from the sky inhuman speed and pierce right into the disgusting demon's forehead, leaving a disgusting bloody hole as he suddenly gasps for air and falls to the ground and dead. Sin and Angel gasps in surprise, sinners can't die again unless they're killed with an angel weapon. Like the spears those extermination angels uses to kill the overpopulated demons down here.

Before the dead body falls and hits the ground, a hole opens up as it falls in and before it closes; Melody appears where she was before and yanks the umbrella out of the head as she watch the corpse fall into the hole. The girl flips her umbrella to look at the sharp point of the stand as she brings it closer to her lips, licking off the blood on it.

"Bitter. Just like all the other sinners." She mumbles as she opens up her umbrella and walks away. Sin and Angel stood there dumbfounded,

"Alright, I think I might be double dead if I was killed again." Angel blurts out, Sin blinks as she stays quiet. Is her umbrella from heaven or is it one of the extermination weapons? The black purple ombre haired girl couldn't wrap her head around what just happened. "Eenie, meenie, miny, mo. Catch your lady by her toes~" Melody quietly sings as she slightly skips towards the hotel as soon as it comes to view. "If she squeals, don't let her go~" She jumps up the little stairs of the porch and holds the door handle. "Eenie, meenie, miny, mo. Your mother said to pick the very best girl..~" She opens the door and looks up to see Charlie and Vaggie talking to each other but Vaggie seem to be really mad. "And I am..~" She finishes as she closes her umbrella.

"-Are you kidding me, hun?! You can't trust that creep! Even if he's trying to help you!" Vaggie states as she points to nobody with her hand. Charlie couldn't do much as she fiddles with her thumb. Melody watch the two as she stands by the door, a blank look on her face.

"But- Vaggie, I can take care of myself!" She tries to defend herself, that was the finishing blow as the grey skinned girl holds her forehead and runs away, off into the office. Charlie watch her girlfriend off as she sighs sadly, Melody walks up to the girl and holds her shoulder which made the girl jump in surprise.

"Smile, red-cheeks. A frown doesn't suit you too well." Melody says as she pokes Charlie's cheek but the blonde only slowly shakes her head. "What happened?" Melody asks, Charlie sighs as she turns to her.

"Alastor invited me to eat dinner with him- for business purposes!- for the hotel!" She adds quickly the two sentences, "But Vaggie won't let me go, she insisted that she would go too but Alastor only wants me to go on my own first." Charlie explains as she looks down, Melody holds up her right index finger; signaling there's something sketchy.

"First, business purposes? Shouldn't we all be there too? We are all employees ourselves in this hotel, why would he ask only for you?" Melody points out, but Alastor's words hours back in the café repeated in her head. Slowly, eating away at her thoughts.

"On second thought, do whatever you please. But I'm not letting you go on your own. The Goat boys are going to accompany and guard you, no excuses." Melody says as she taps her umbrella on the ground and the two goat boys that looks like the polar opposite twins appears on both sides of Charlie. They smile as they hug Charlie from the sides,

"But Al said-" Charlie tries to protest before Melody could walk away and leave. Her shoulders jump for a second from the mentioning of his name, making Charlie cut herself off thinking Melody would be mad.

"Then do you prefer me going instead?" Melody says as she raises her eyebrows. "What kind of restaurant are you two will be going?" She asks as she holds a hand on her hip. Charlie thought for a second,

"I'm not sure.. But he told me to wear something fancy." The second Charlie says that, Melody couldn't help but scoffs to the side as if she was annoyed.

"I'll be there but don't expect to see me around, if you do; pretend you don't know me." Melody waves towards her as she turns around in heels and walks off into the office to see if Vaggie is okay, The Goat Boys following close behind. Charlie will admit it herself that she really wants someone to go with her but she's afraid of what will happen if she disobeyed the radio demon. Speak of the devil, the door opens up as Alastor walks in, Charlie jump in surprise as she looks around, not knowing where to go as she stood there dumbfounded. The demon looks up at Charlie as he smiles, waving towards the blonde haired demon.

"Charlie, dear! What's with the long face?" He laughs as he approach her, his radio static lacing his voice. The girl sighs as she slowly frown, making Alastor's smile drop a little but still remained.

"Vaggie and I got into a fight.." Charlie sigh as she rubs her shoulder, Alastor hums as he pats Charlie's hair.

"I'm sure she doesn't mean anything she must of said! Don't you worry, charming demon belle." Alastor smiles as Charlie nods slowly. "Your face really doesn't suit a frown, smiling makes you more attractive." Alastor says as his hand went from her head to her chin, pulling Charlie gently to look at him as Charlie smiles upon the compliment. Melody opens the door to see the two, her face didn't change as she slams the door close.

"On second thought, let's stay in here. It's freezing out in the lobby." Melody creates up an excuse as she turns to Vaggie. The girl nods as she sits back down on the couch. Her face is still itched with worry, Melody couldn't help but feel a tug of sadness on her cold heart. "Hey, don't worry, I'll be with her." Vaggie looks up at Melody.

"How are you going to do that? That demon really can't be trusted!" Melody sits on the table as she crosses her legs.

"They're going to a fancy restaurant, I'm thinking it's that popular restaurant where people gamble a lot and the drinks are the best. Not saying that out of experience. I have a dress in my closet that I never touched because it's for fancy occasions. I can just go in there as if I'm someone else. Don't worry, I'll make sure Charlie is safe.." Melody trails off as she look off to the ground, "..It is my job anyways." She mumbles as the two of them turn silent, she shakes her head. "It's pretty late, I should probably go back now."

She jumps off from the table as she waves towards Vaggie as the girl did the same. Melody walks out to see that the two is now talking to each other by the reception counter, her rich red eyes don't even bother to completely look their way as she quickly leave the hotel. As Charlie ramble on about something, Alastor watch as the girl leave and out the door.
