My Sworn Loyalty

"Ugh, my head.." Charlie mumbles out as she hung her head low. Coughing could be heard beside her as Charlie and Vaggie looks to their side, Melody had black substance coming out of her lips, her right leg is on the floor as it been chopped off and her horns are showing, even her black and white eyes are glowing dimly as she cough out more black substance, it had a little bit of red in them as it hits the floor.

"Mel!" Charlie squeaks out in worry, the girl unexpectedly jumps in surprise as she turns to Charlie. Her vision is a bit blurry but she could recognise that blonde hair and red cheeks anywhere.

"Oh hey, red-cheeks. Sorry I'm late." She smiles at her, Charlie had a horrified look in her eyes same for Vaggie.

"What the hell did he do to you?" Vaggie asks, she looks down to find that she's actually tied up on a chair too alongside the other two. "What the hell?" She breathes out.

"Well isn't it obvious?" She chuckles as she coughs a little bit. Vaggie bites down on her bottom lip, "I haven't felt pain in such a long time. I think I'm losing my sanity a little." She grins up at the two, she sure did. Even in that kind of situation, she's grinning and chuckling. It's so unlike when she's fine, so blank yet so just gentle and caring. "But I don't fucking know what this asshole wants from me." She says, looking away to the door that's in the room. "Where's The Deceiver he say, like hell I kno-" before she could finish her words, she cough up again as she spits out more black substance; lowly cussing under her breath.

"Seems like you're doing well." A man's voice calls out from in front of them, Charlie and Vaggie looks up and glares at him. Melody hung her head low and stays quiet, the only thing that could be heard from her is her ragged heavy breath. "Well, your friend really have bought me new toys to play with." He snickers as he turns to Vaggie and Charlie. "I'm sure it'll take them a long time to get out of that maze I created." He adds as he walks up to Charlie, looking down at her. Vaggie immediately struggles in her chains as her chair rock back and forth,

"Don't you fucking dare." Vaggie cuss out as Charlie stare up at him with a little bit of fear visible in her eyes. Johnny turns to Vaggie and smiles,

"Why not? Isn't she the princess of hell? I'm sure nobody really cares if she's off dead, she's a failure." He lowers his voice on the last sentence, making Charlie bite down on her bottom lip. Vaggie struggles again as she cuss in his face only for him to chuckle in amusement, "Lucifer wouldn't min—" he reaches out to touch Charlie but stops as something flies through and breaks through the walls. Something in a blur of black flew and almost hit him in a few inches away as it gets stuck in the wall.

He backs away, gasping as he turns his head to the wall. It's a black lace umbrella, if he hadn't backed up in time — that sharp end of the umbrella would've pierced through his skull. Johnny grits his teeth as he turns to Melody who still have her head hung low, he walks up to her and pulls her up to face him by her hair. Her face is blank and unmoving as she looks dead into his eyes,

"You fucking bitch!" He cuss out as he pulls his hand back to punch her but couldn't move his hand as someone had grabbed it. The demon turns his head to see a red demon with a big smile on his face.

"My dear fellow, It is quite not nice to hit ladies!" He beamed as he glares at him. Before Johnny could cuss out and hit Alastor — Melody breaks free from the chains as she grabs his throat and jumps on him, slamming the demon on the floor harshly. He coughs as his vision goes blurry, Melody's eyes are bright red in anger as she tighten her grip around his throat, ready to literally snap his neck in half. Even though sinners down here can not die whatsoever unless they are killed by someone who uses an angel's weapon used specially for extermination — the demon under Melody right now would've died and ceased to exist.

"Mel, wait!" A voice calls out, she looks up in a sharp glare. Sin went speechless when Melody's sharp glare landed on hers, nevermind when she said she was used to her sharp eyes. "Let me handle him." She says, Melody stayed quiet before getting off from him but she only fell back to the floor due to her missing her right leg. Johnny coughs and sits up, rubbing his neck that is now badly bruised. Alastor walks up to Melody and offers her a hand but she didn't notice it as she drags herself to Vaggie and Charlie to untie them from the chains. 

Charlie immediately helps Melody up by letting her lean on herself. It looked painful to look at but Melody showed no sign of pain, Vaggie runs up to the severed leg on the floor and picks it up — visibly cringing at the way it looks, severed and unattached to a body. She brings it to Melody but she shook her head, took it off Vaggie's hand nonetheless.

"I'll be needing needles and thread to put it back on." She says.

"Give up already, babe!" Johnny shouts as loud crash could be heard nearby them. Everyone turns their head to see Sin with her black feathery wings on her back, Johnny had claws coming out of fingertips as he swings it at her multiple times. She tried to dodge it but due to how small the room is with her wings taking most of the space, she would get cuts. Instead of it bleeding — flowers bloomed out of her wounds.

"Over my damn dead body! That is if you can even find it!" She shouts, despite all of this; her lips are curled into a smile. She steps back as she stomps her feet, half of the house exploded as the smoke and the bright lights came from behind her. The impact made Johnny stepped back as he glares up at her, "Let's play with The Deceiver!" She shouts as her smile grew wider, Johnny jumps as he slashes down his claws — Sin dodging swiftly as she jumps to the side and kicks the back of his knee, making him fall forward.

The second he hit the floor, a big black light pentagram full of symbols and shapes opens up under him as something from the skies flies down as it hits him right there. It exploded, making the blow sending wind towards Sin's face; her hair harshly flying all over the place due to the harsh wind. She was unmoving, but Johnny wasn't done as he jumps and lunges towards Sin from the puff of smoke, Sin stayed still with a smile on her face as Johnny suddenly stops — his claw was an inch away from Sin's face.

The choking sounds escapes his lips as he tries to tug and pull himself closer to Sin but only choke again. Around his neck is a metallic sharp chain, the long chain leads all the way to the other side of the room — showing Slither gripping the other end of his chain. Somehow Melody could get her leg to be attached to her body for a moment as she runs and raise her hand up, summoning her scythe as she slams it down on the ground.

The hole to the Dead Realm opens up as he falls but his neck was still being chained as he chokes and claw on his own neck, Slither walks to the edge of the hole as he glares down with no emotion displayed on his face. You could even hear growls and groans of monsters down there as it tries to climb up, Slither pulls out a middle finger as he harshly pulls on his chain and catching it his hand. The blonde haired male screams as he falls deeper and deeper into the hole, Melody pulls her scythe as she swings it in her hand in the air — the hole closes as the scythe disappears in a puff of red smoke.

Melody immediately falls on the floor as her foot is no longer attached to herself again. Sin's wings had disappeared as she runs up to Melody and kneels down beside her, her lilac eye is full of worry as she scans all over her face to see wounds everywhere.

"Mel, what did he do to you?" She asks as she holds Melody's shoulders. Melody only looks at her leg and raises her eyebrows.

"Well isn't it obvious, Aratani? He saw scars on my arms and legs, probably knowing that's how I died he used it to his advantage and cut them off. I don't feel pain but blood will come up to my throat." She explains as she picks up her leg and looks at it as she holds it close to her. Sin cusses under her breath, hugging Melody all of the sudden. The black haired girl gasps from the sudden embrace as she widens her eyes,

"I'm so sorry, if only I never dated that asshole this wouldn't have happened to you." She whispers as she blames herself, Melody was quiet as suddenly her shoulders vibrates. Sin raises her eyebrows as she pulls away from Melody to see her holding back a laugh, Sin was confused but a smile crept up to her face. Not even a second later she burst out laughing — making everyone shock at how she is laughing. It isn't ugly nor was it pretty, it was feminie. "W-What's so funny?" She asks as she looks at Melody who's now on the floor, laughing. She gathers her composure again as she rubs her cheeks.

"That's so unlike you, Aratani. You're always a boast of yourself, now you're blaming yourself? Get out of my face!" She jokes as she giggles again. Charlie couldn't help but smile at how Melody is smiling a lot more, Vaggie is smiling too. Suddenly the door bursts open as Angel who's out of breath runs in.

"Now where's that motherfucka'?" He shouts as he holds up a gun in his arms. Everyone stared at him in silence, the first one to laugh was surprisingly — Alastor. His laugh made Melody burst out laughing too, and now everyone is laughing expect for Slither who's have a slight grin on his face.

Melody's arm is around Slither's shoulder as everyone walk back to the hotel. Before Alastor could even offer his help, Slither already kneeled beside the black haired demon which she accepted the offer. Having to walk back to the hotel seemed very hard on Melody but she didn't showed any pain, when they entered the doors of the hotel — Niffty runs right up to the others to see if they're injured which only two of them are; Melody and Sin.

Sin's wounds seem untreatable because of the flowers and thorns coming out of her small cuts, there's nothing could be done as the girl desperately covers her little cuts uncomfortably. Slither had help Melody sit down on a couch as Niffty went off throughout the hotel to look for a sewing kit.

"What the hell happened and doesn't that fuckin' hurt?" Husk asks from behind the bar counter, Melody turns her head towards him and shook her head. "How the fuck?" He grumbles, Melody shrugs.

"Someone kidnapped me and wanted me to bring them someone called 'The Deceiver', I didn't know who it was but he wouldn't believe me. So in the end, he tried torturing me. I got to admit, the second he pierce that blade on my skin the pain was unbearable." She answers as she tries to line up her foot back on her thigh. Niffty came back and hands her the sewing kit which she thank the little demon as she opens it up.

She picks up a needle and thread, making it go through the hole as she sews her skin. Charlie grimaced as she watched it but slowly turn around to take her mind off it, Vaggie chuckles at her girlfriend as she follows her off to the office. Sin is sitting on another couch with Angel as she explains why her wounds are blooming flowers instead of blood. After Melody was done, she cuts off the thread with her teeth and ties the knot.

"Are you alright now, dear?" Alastor asks as he stands in front of Melody. She nodded as she suddenly holds her skirt down, she looks up at Alastor and suddenly remembering something.

"Wait, Al don't stand in fro—" She was too late as her veins in her foot connected and her leg shots up, almost hitting Alastor in the face. He caught her foot with his smile still on his face as he glanced at what he is holding. "—nt of me.." Melody finishes her words as the whole room goes silence. "Uh, can you let go of my foot now?" She asks, Alastor chuckles as he sets her foot carefully on the ground. Melody fixes the skirt of her dress as she thank him.

"Is that what always happens, dear? It was hilarious!" Alastor laughs, Melody only nodded as she closes the sewing box.

"It happens, even with my other limbs." She answers, suddenly Alastor leans in as he asks.

"Even your head?" His voice was so close to her ear as she backs away a little. She stayed quiet for a moment before shrugging,

"I don't know, I never had my head fall off before but, yeah— I guess."

Before Alastor could say something else, the same intense feeling was there again. The door is knocked on as  Sin gets up to go get it since Charlie and Vaggie is in the office and Melody seemed like in no position to get up so soon. When she opens the door, there stood the well known face throughput hell, Lucifer smiles down towards Sin as she stares up at him — feeling the immense power radiating off from him. Melody could feel it too as she turns her head, almost too immediately she stands up but only tumbled a bit as Alastor caught her before she could fall again.

She made sure not to touch him as she thank him and softly kick her right foot on the floor to test it, it seemed fine enough as she walks over to the door. Sin steps to the side as Lucifer walks in, Melody looks up at him as she bowed her head.

"Yo—" She cut herself off, forgetting that if Lilith isn't around — she's supposed to call him by his nickname. "Luci." She corrects herself, Lucifer smiles wider as he looks down at her. Visibly towering over her on purpose,

"Melody, how are you?" He asks, Melody nods to his question.

"I'm doing quite swell, pray tell — is there a particular reason you worried yourself to come all the way here?" Melody asks, it was also visible that she's talking differently to him. Lucifer chuckles as he points his cane of apple down to her foot, lightly tapping it.

"I heard what had happened, my daughter isn't injured — is she?" Lucifer asks as he peers in her face, Melody's blank face stayed unmoved.

"She is completely fine, Luci. If you wish to see her — she is in the back office. Would you like for me to call her?" She answers and Lucifer stands straight back up, his smile never leaving.

"That's good, yes. Please do call her for me." He commands her as she bows her head once again before turning around on her heels towards the office door. Sin watches the scene in front of her quietly, knowing damn well she is in no position to do anything. Lucifer notices Alastor as he walls over to him,

"How are you doing my dear friend?" Lucifer asks, Alastor only laughed like he always does.

"I am doing great! Say, what really brings you here?" He asks, Lucifer shrug his shoulders as he looks around the lobby room.

"Merely just boredom." He answers quickly, Alastor hums as he glances at the office door.

"Is it just me, or do you seek entertainment from dominating the young girl?" He asks, referring to Melody. Lucifer chuckles,

"I have been caught. Say, she is hard to even get a reaction out of." Alastor and Lucifer only laughed with one another as Sin stared from afar, even Angel got a bit freaked out to the point he got up to join Sin in the other side of the room.

"Daddy!" Charlie shouts as she runs out to greet her father, Lucifer turns his head towards her.

"My little bloody munchkin! How are you, darling?" Lucifer greets back and Charlie smiles,

"I'm doing great!" The two chat off as usual as Melody stood nearby, Alastor glances at the girl. Her eyes looking more dull than usual,

"Oh before I go, Melody —" Lucifer calls out, making the said girl looks up at him. He suddenly pulls something out of his suit and raise it up in the air to show her what it is, whatever it is — made Melody stand on her tip toes. What is inside of his grip is am amulet, it's gold frame firmly and beautifully holds a red stone in the middle. For the first time that everyone could ever see, Melody held fear in her face. "If you succeed in helping my daughter with her hotel and also her safety, I'll give this back to you."

He smiles upon seeing Melody's face, she is biting her lip as her hands are clenched in fists. But it wasn't only that, Lucifer holds up his other hand as his apple cane is leaning against his arm, a shape of a small little soul that is half and half coloured red and pink lights up in his hand. "And maybe this one too." He says, Melody stays quiet as she only stared. Within seconds, he puts it away — "Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Luci." Melody answers, Lucifer smiles as he walks closer to her and makes her look up at him by his apple cane.

"Good, oh and also — she's in heaven, you'll never meet her." He replies as he turns and walks to the door, waving to Charlie and leaving. The second the door closes, someone drops to their knees. It was Melody, she's staring off into space. Sin runs up to her side as she holds the other girl's shoulder, it wasn't visible but she's actually shaking a little. Alastor watch as she slowly breaks, building her up and just pushing her for it all to tumble down into pits of darkness.
