Her Eyes
07:00, 15 November 2017(Hey guys! Weeeeelcome back~! Thanks MCDAphmau for commenting on the last part. Parts of this chapter are inspired by AnimefulWriter. Go follow her. Right now.)
*Ein's POV
I got her. I can finally get my revenge. Oh, sweet revenge. It's been over a year since I died. Yes, I did die. But what Aphmau and her stupid friends haven't figured out that I used a revival potion, which also works 10 seconds before death. I was weak, of course. I was in the same state I would think Aaron was in for awhile, nearly unconscious, stuck in nightmares in between dream and reality. But I got over it, and now that I'm working with Elizabeth, Zach, and Michael, I'll be unstoppable!
"Hey," Aphmau dropped this single comment into our hours of silence, which caused me to jump out of my chair.
"Ahh, don't do that!" I yelped.
"What? Talk? Well, I'm sorry, I can't really do much else!"
"Whatever. What do you want?'
"Well, it's been 5 hours and I haven't eaten anything. I get really antsy when I'm hungry, you got anything?"
"Some nerve you've got, being my prisoner and asking for food,"
"Just think, it's like you said. I'm very important in your plan, keeping me here to get revenge on Aaron will only work if I'm alive," Aphmau smirked.
"Hmph. Fine. Here are some chips," I threw some her way, forgetting about one problem.
"I'm a little stuck here. Can't exactly feed myself," She said, staring eagerly at the chips that were now mostly scattered on the floor.
"Ughhhh, why must you be so high maintenance?" I whined.
"You're the one that tied me up."
"Point taken."
I walked over and untied her, I even grabbed out a chair for my own prisoner. Have I gotten soft? Nah, I'm just warming up for the real crime is all.
Aphmau contently sat, eating her chips while I did more research and made sure my plan was running smoothly.
As I was looking through my computer, I found something I wasn't ready to come upon. A picture of my mother. S-she was the only person who ever believed in me. Well, not believed in me per say, but she thought there was still some good left in me. Hah, as if. I'm from a huge family, and ever since I was born, I've been different. Everyone knew it. Nothing I did was ever good. No one believed I could make good choices, especially not me. Whatever, she's gone now. Not that there were any chances of me changing even if she was here. I have a mission to complete. I need to stop with all this emotion stuff, ugh. Even though I tried to stop it, I felt my eyes water slightly, but I stopped them from overflowing as I always did, I wasn't going to show my weaknesses, especially in front of Aphmau.
After a minute I realized she was staring at me. I expected her eyes to be full of hatred, but they weren't... not at all. This was the first time I really looked into her eyes. They were truly beautiful. Glowing golden brown. Though she was trapped here, her eyes shone with determination. When we met eyes, I caught something else as well, was that, sympathy? No. No one would ever sympathize with me, especially not after being kidnapped. But there was also something else, I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. I had never seen this quality in my own pale eyes. After a few seconds, it hit me, love. It was love I saw in her eyes. That's what made them glow. I was a bit jealous of her in that way. She knew what it felt like to be loved, and to have someone you can always depend on besides yourself. Ahh, what am I thinking? I don't need love. Nope, I don't need any of it. I just need to stop looking at her!
"Ein?" Aphmau asked.
"Yes?" I answered hesitantly.
"Why do you do these things to people. Why do you want revenge?" She didn't ask as if to tell me to stop what I was doing, but more of a general question. I respected that.
"Because I need to get back at the people who cause me trouble, it feels good. You should try sometime. Getting revenge," I stated.
"Have you ever tried doing something good for someone? It gives you a better feeling than doing any of this ever could you know," She shrugged.
"Of course not. That's stupid," I answered immediately. She was starting to get on my nerves.
"Okay then," She rolled her eyes.
I worked for a few more minutes and completely stopped paying attention to Aphmau. I was completely oblivious to what she was doing until I felt her fist thrust across my face. She... punched me?
"Revenge, huh?" She chuckled.
I was so in shock I didn't react when she punched me a second time, sending me down to the ground, and my mind tumbling into darkness.
*Aphmau's POV
I did it. I actually did it! I knocked Ein out! Yes! I did a little happy dance before tying Ein up onto the table as he did to me. I walked around a little before coming up to Ein's desk. I quickly snatched my phone from the table and tried to turn it on. Dang, it. Dead. And no charger in sight. Oh well, I guess Ein's computer will work for now.
I scrolled on it a little and found some boring stuff and a picture of someone that must have made him tear up earlier. I wondered who it was. A young woman who looked a bit similar to Ein, but sweeter.
I then grabbed a flashlight and shone it into the darkness that was completely off limits to me before. The first thing I saw was three doors, they all looked the same and none of them were labeled. Fun. And then I saw where we got off the plane, it seemed to be connected to whatever building we were in right now. I also found a "You Are Here" map, yes!
I walked up to the map and looked for the red dot. I looked at Starlight right away and realized that the dot wasn't on it at all. In fact, the red dot wasn't on the map of Starlight or any of it's surrounding islands. My eyes moved over to the world map, and straight across from Starlight, on the other side of the globe... was the little red dot.
(Hey, I wrote from Ein's perspective, woah! FUN! I hope you guys enjoyed this part! Comment and stuff plz. ;3)
