Friend Turned Foe

04:22, 8 November 2017

(Hey everyone! As of right now, like as I'm writing this, this story has 160 views! Tygsm for reading I appreciate it so much! I want to give a shoutout to MCDAphmau and Tiffanysmart13 for voting on EVERY PART of this story! I wanted to move the plot a bit more than I have been, so this one's actually about Ein and problems and stuff and not ships  (unless you ship Einmau lol) So have fun reading! <3)

With the knowledge that Ein was back on the island, and active, Aaron and Aphmau gathered everyone that attended the trip to the lodge to speak about the actions they were going to take.

"Did you find out anything from your mom?" Aphmau asked Aaron as he looked down at his text messages with his mother.

"No, she won't reply to anything I say about Ein or any subjects related to him," Aaron sighed.

"So let's take this step-by-step then. What do we need to know?" Lucinda questioned.

"We need to figure out how Ein is still alive, and if he knew we were here before he came. Plus, we need to know why the heck he's here and who he is here with. I think that about covers it?" Zane listed.

"Hmm, sounds about right," Garroth speculated while Aphmau stared at his fluffy tail. She didn't mean to stare, but she was incredibly jealous that Garroth's tail had already fluffed out, while her's was still all scrunched up. She scowled, not realizing that Garroth could see her.

"Alright, so now we know what we are trying to figure out. How about what we already know?" Ghost added, to be followed by Kim nodding in agreement.

"Well, I know just about everything that had to do with Ein while he was at the lodge. I think we all do. But to figure this out, we'll need more than that. And we don't really know much about his past," Aaron noted.

"I-I do," Aphmau whispered.

"Huh?" Aaron cocked his head at her.

"We went to high school together, remember? You made him alpha unknowingly and-" Aphmau began to remind him.

"Oh right! I totally forgot about high school, plus, I didn't know him back then anyway. Didn't you guys go to school with him too?" Aaron asked, referring to the rest of the group.

"Yes, I think so, but, if I could speak for all of us, I don't believe any of us knew him, aside from Aphmau. You knew him pretty well?" Garroth verified.

"I thought I did. When I first met him, well, he was actually kind of sweet if you can believe it. He was always out to protect me. The times I was hurt, well, he was there to comfort me. I considered him a friend. I really did. I'm ashamed of that now, but there was no reason for me to think that he was anything else. Then, when I had been manipulated to causing Aaron to think that Ein would be a worthy alpha, that's when his true colors really began to show. He became alpha with no effort and began to encourage violence and constant fighting, he brought out the worst in everyone, and I finally saw the evil within him. He tried to use me, in many ways, I can't even think of all of them right now. But all I know is that he was never really a good person, he never had good intentions. He never did, and he most likely doesn't now. I don't believe he can change, I don't believe he ever will. If he's here, if he's alive, we need to end him. I won't let him hurt anyone the way he hurt us... the way he hurt Aaron," Aphmau elucidated.

Everyone was deadly silent. None of them were aware that any of this happened, at least not in full. Not even Aaron. They all understood how serious this was, Aphmau was always looking for the best in people. Always. She never spoke of anyone this way. Ein needed to be stopped. At all costs.

After about 5 minutes of silence, Aphmau added to her explanation.

"Even if she doesn't want to talk about it, we need the information that Rachel has. If anyone else has information on this, we must speak to them too. We need every hint we can get. Aaron, I'll talk to your mom, I'll get something out of her, one way or another. Derrick knew something too if I'm not mistaken?" Aphmau inquired.

"Yes, from what I know, he did have some sort of knowledge of who these people were. I think it has something to do with everything Melissa was telling us about the forever potions. We should speak to Garte too, he is definitely connected to this somehow," Aaron replied.

"Garroth and I will speak to him," Zane stated, Garroth nodding.

"Kim and I will do some reading and more research on everything we can find even remotely related to any of this," Lucinda added.

"Hey, me too!" Ghost exclaimed.

"Oh yes, and Ghost will help us too, as long as she stays away from poor little Zane," Kim chuckled.

"Grr," Ghost grumbled in reply.

Everyone went off in their separate ways except Aaron and Aphmau.

"What are you going to do Aaron?" Aphmau asked.

"I'm not sure yet. I think I'm going to look through my dad's old stuff and try to figure something out," Aaron thought aloud.

"Sounds good. Well, I'm going to head out to talk to your mom. Love you!" Aphmau opened the door to leave.

"Wait!" Aaron said.

"What?" Aph looked back.

Aaron went up to her and without a word, kissed her. He wasn't sure why. He just knew she needed some encouragement. And maybe he did too. He just needed to remind himself that he wasn't alone in all of this chaos, that he never is.

"I love you more," Aaron smiled.

"Hah, you wish," Aphmau laughed, and before Aaron could make a comeback, she slammed the door shut.

(Okay yeah I said there wouldn't be any ships... but I had too! XD Thanks for reading once again, bye guys!)
