Chapter 19- lets do a prank call

BLUEY

" Still nothing " Indy said as she checked her phone again. " He said he'll send clues. Still nothing " she was on the verge of crying.

She was right he did say that but a whole day has passed and nothing. I'm starting to get worried.

Starting?

Actually I've been worried ever since I knew nightmare existed.We had to lie to Honey's parents that she was having a sleepover at my house which is where we are currently.Luckily for me my parents stopped bugging me.

" Ok it's obvious he's not sending any clues, so we have to think. Where would he keep her " Lucky said pacing back and forth.

Think Bluey think

Just then, I heard my phone ring. I hoped it was nightmare.I checked my phone.

MACKENZIE

Ugh why him

I answered the call.

" Hey Bluey...umm are y-you busy " He stuttered.

Why is he stuttering?

" Mackenzie, I am extremely busy right now so please don't disturb me " I replied.

" I just need to ask you an important question "

Nothing is more important than what I am doing right now.

Literally nothing

" Ok hurry up " I replied.

" Uhh, do you find me attractive "

THE HECK He did not just say what I think he just said.

Do I find him attractive?

How am I supposed to even answer that. Why did he even ask that. Where did that even come from.

Do I find him attractive though?Why am I even thinking of that, Honey's life is at stake and he's here asking me a useless question.

But do I find him attractive?Why can't I stop asking my self that.

" Bluey, you haven't answered yet " He said snapping me out of my thought.

" Uhh, No! Maybe, I don't know, leave me alone " I replied.Did I literally just say maybe.Idiot.

I ended the call.

" What was that about? " Indy asked.

" Nothing, it's just Mackenzie " I replied.

Four hours earlier

Mackenzie

I just sat on my bed doing nothing. I was bored, so I decided to scroll through Dogstagram I went to Bluey's profile to see if she had posted any pics.

None

The last one was on the first day of school.

She's hilarious.I scrolled down, and I saw my favorite pic of all.It's a pic of Bluey and I when we went to the amusement park on New years EveI still can't believe she posted it.

I still remembered Chloe getting extremely angry when she hashtaged ' mybestfriend '

I decided to go to Indy's profile. She posts a lot of pictures, mostly her and Rusty. They'd make a really good couple.

After scrolling for about Ten minutes.I got a call from Chloe.

" Morning Kenzie " she greeted.

" Don't call me that " I replied.

" Yeah only Bluey can " she snickered.

" Shut up, what do you want? " I asked.

" Uhh, everyone's coming over for breakfast at my place, wanna come? "

" Who's everyone? "

" All our friends duhh "

" Oh, well I already had breakfast so I'm gonna pass "

" Who cares if you've had breakfast just come, it's gonna be fun "

" Ugh, will Bluey be there? "

" oh, guess someone's in love "

" Shut up, will she be there or not? "

" Of course she's coming "

" Ok, guess I'll come "

" Great see you soon, bye "

I really don't want to show up but everyone's gonna be there so I guess I'll have to go.

I got ready in twenty minutes and left.

Ten minutes later I arrived at Chloe's house.I rang the doorbell then she opened the door.

" Hey glad you could make it " she said as she took me into her living room. " Everyone's upstairs "

" Ok " I replied as we both went into her bedroom.

" Yo, dude, you made it " I looked over and saw Rusty.

" Yo " I replied as we did our bro handshake." So what are we even doing here? " I asked

"I have no idea man, I'm just here for the free breakfast " Rusty replied and we both chuckled.

" Where's Bluey? " I asked.

" She's not coming " Coco said.

" What! You said she was gonna be here " I said to Chloe.

" Yeah, she said she couldn't make it " Chloe said bringing the snacks.

" Then what the heck is the use of me coming " I replied

" Dude, you're so in love " Rusty said.

" Dude shut up " I replied. I looked around " is this the 'everyone' cuz all I see is Rusty, Jack and Coco "

" The rest couldn't make it " Chloe replied. " Bluey bailed, Indy bailed and Lucky bailed, they said they had something to do "

" Of course they do " Rusty interrupted.

" I couldn't get through to Honey and no one even knows where Jean luc is, so yeah, this is 'everyone' " Chloe concluded.

" So what should we do? " I asked.

" We could watch a movie or play games "

" What movie? " Jack asked

" Let's watch Fast and Furious nine "

" Ok " Rusty and I said at the same time.

Chloe closed all the curtains and switched off all the lights to make the room darker. Then she switched on the TV.

After the show we got bored cuz we didn't feel like watching another movie.

" let's do a prank call " Chloe suggested which kinda got us excited.

" Who should we call? " I askedThis would be fun.

" Bluey "

Well, fun's over

" Why? " I asked.

" Cuz it'll be fun " Chloe replied.

" Yeah, and I know exactly what you should tell her " Coco added.

" I can't, she hasn't been picking my calls or replying my texts since Friday " I said.

" Just do it, she's definitely gonna answer and when she does ask her if she finds you attractive " Coco said which caused her and Chloe to giggle.

" What, why would I even do that "

" Cuz it's fun, don't forget to put it on speaker " Chloe said.

" This is not gonna end well " Rusty said.

Well I could have said no but I didn't, wanna know why.Cuz I'm an idiot.

I called Bluey and she actually answered.

" Hey Bluey...umm are y-you busy " I stuttered. I can't even get a decent sentence out.Idiot.

" Mackenzie, I am extremely busy right now so please don't disturb me " she said.

Mackenzie

What happened to Kenzie." I just need to ask you an important question " I said

" Ok hurry up " she replied. Why does she sound angry.

Well moment of Truth." Uhh, do you find me attractive? "

I could hear the guys chuckling. She took what felt like forever to answer.She was probably in the realm of thought. So I had to snap her out of it.

" Bluey, you haven't answered yet " I said.

" Uhh, No! Maybe, I don't know, leave me alone " and with that she ended the call.

" Well, that was something " Rusty said.

" Don't worry Mk not all hope is lost " Jack said. I feel like punching him in the face.

" Let's make Rusty call Indy " Coco said.

" No way " Rusty said as he tried to run away. Jack grabbed his leg and Chloe threw a pillow at his face which he retaliated and threw a pillow at Chloe but she dodged it and it hit Coco and that led to us having a pillow fight.After a while of us yelling and screaming and throwing pillows we decided to head to the park.At the park we talked a lot about stuff and took a lot of pics that we posted on Dogstagram.We went back to Chloe's house ate some more snacks then we all went back to our various houses. Chloe said we'll meet up another day for more fun and she's gonna make sure everyone will come. Looking forward to that. So in the end it wasn't all that bad even if Bluey didn't show up. I wonder why she didn't show up.Probably has other things to do.
