Chapter 10: Date's a Date

(Cecelia's Pov)

Thank godric for Saturday's am I right? Thankfully with all my overthinkin, I still managed to fall asleep which is great because overthinkin hurts and I'm tired of it...I fluttered my eyes open to the sun shinin through the dorm room windows.

I sighed and groaned as I turned the other way just wantin to go back to sleep but god knows that won't happen. I groaned and looked at the time seein it was 9am. I rolled my eyes and rubbed my face tiredly and thought of the events of yesterday...

My eyes widen, face flushed and stomach churned anxiously...oh goodness...I have my date with Oliver Wood tonight...what do I do? What do I talk about? Oh blimey...I'm gonna be a mess all day...ughhh.

I sighed and rolled my eyes as I hopped out of bed stretchin and yawnin. I whistled for Snowflake which made her coo and fly to my shoulder. I smiled softly as we headed out of my dorm and down to the Great Hall for breakfast assuming people were already there or doin their own thing.

I looked seein my friends and Cedric were there though which made me smile softly as I walked up to them. They looked at me and smiled as I sat by Ced and Hermione, "Mornin sis" Ced greeted, I smiled tiredly and yawned "Mornin" I said as I grabbed some food and coffee, "how'd you sleep?" Hermione asked softly,

I groaned "I mean I think I just overthought myself into sleepin so good but now I'm gonna be overthinkin and a mess all day" I whispered and sipped my coffee. Hermione and Ginny smiled softly "you're gonna be fine. Promise. Just be your bubbly and timid self" Ginny said, I blushed shyly "If Cedric asks I need you both to cover for me. Just say I'm hangin out with you and come up with somethin cause he won't like me goin out with a boy...he didn't even want me to make friends with boys so" I said,

The girls giggled "Well he's certainly overprotective" Hermione said, I nodded "okay, we'll cover for you" Ginny said, I smiled softly "Thanks" I said, they nodded as we went on to eat and talk about today and I couldn't stop thinkin about Oliver Wood man...I mean what am I supposed to do now? I guess I can skate to pass time...might help clear my mind so...why not?

After breakfast, I headed up to my dorm to get on my outfit and this time grab my ribbons cause it makes it so much prettier. I hopped out of my pj's and into a red sparkly unitard/dress. I slid on my robe, grabbed my skates and ribbon, slid on my regular shoes and headed to the Black Lake to skate.

When I got there, I took off my robe and shoes, slid on my skates and iced up the lake once again. I giggled as Snowflake flew in the air above me which made me smile as I got on the ice with my ribbons, played my music and started to skate around.

I spun in circles with my colorful ribbons and giggled as I sang softly and thought of Oliver while skatin around and having a good time cause you can always have fun and pass time by skatin.

(Oliver's Pov)

I got up early this Saturday to get my exercise in but I also had ta plan on where ta take Cecelia on our date tonight...even remindin myself of my date tonight with her made my heart and stomach churn...that lass does something else man...I haven't felt like this with a girl in a long while...but damn am I glad it's with her.

After I did my exercise, I had breakfast and wondered where Cecelia was, knowin her I bet she's at the Black Lake stakin which made me smirk as I headed to the quidditch stadium to practice a bit. I grabbed my broom and started to practice but the sound of giggles and singin filled my ears which distracted me from Quidditch.

I followed the sound to the Black Lake and saw Cecelia in a red leotard, ice skatin around with these colorful ribbons. She jumped and spinned while twirlin the ribbons around her like a forcefield. She would sing and play with her owl Snowflake which made me smile as again I saw those sparkles in her eyes that's just so mesmerizin...I cannot wait for my date tonight.

(Cecelia's Pov) *A Few Hours Later*

After a while I was getting tired and hungry so I packed everythin up and headed back to the castle for lunch. I put my skates and ribbons away and put back on my pj's which were just sweats and a jumper because I was all sweaty and would need to shower before my date but I need food so that's a first.

I headed down to the Great Hall for lunch seein my friends and brother of course. I smiled softly and sighed as I walked over to them and sat down "there you are. We've been wonderin where you've been" Hermione said, "Skatin like always" I said,

Everyone smiled "so after this you freshen up while me and Ginny pick out the perfect outfit okay?" Hermione whispered, I smiled softly and nodded as I grabbed some food and started to eat "I'm so nervous" I whispered, they giggled "you're gonna be fine. Oliver clearly loves how timid and shy you get so it'll work out either way" Ginny said, I smiled softly and rolled my eyes and shoved my face with food cause ice skatin takes a lot out of ya.

After lunch, I needed a shower so I headed up to my dorm to and grabbed my toiletries while Hermione and Ginny tore through my drawers "please clean up after you're done" I said, they nodded as I headed to the bathroom and started up the shower.

I sighed as I hopped out of my pj's and hopped in lettin out a small sigh as the hot water felt nice. I couldn't help but just think about my date tonight...this was so very overwhelmin...but I really just hope everythin goes well and he feels the same way...because I really really like him...how can I not?

I blushed and smiled as I shook my head and finished up my shower. When I finished, I turned off the water, wrapped my towel around me, grabbed my things and headed back to my dorm. The girls were talkin about my clothes and still tryin to figure it out which made me giggle as they looked at me "Okay I think we finally figured out the perfect outfit" Hermione said,

I smiled softly and nodded as I walked over seein a cute black skirt with a nice blue button up t-shirt with my Hufflepuff scarf and combat boots. I blushed shyly and giggled "Dry off and put it on. Let us see" Ginny whined, I sighed and rolled my eyes as I dried off, put on clean undergarments and hopped in the outfit they picked out.

They wanted to be surprised of course so they turned around and closed their eyes before I got dressed. When I finished, I blushed shyly "O-okay you can look" I said, they girls looked and gasped "oh my Godric" they said, I wrapped an arm around myself "You look so pretty" Ginny said, I blushed and smiled and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear "Ya think?" I asked,

They smiled and nodded "of course. You look so good" Hermione said, I smiled "Spin, spin, spin" they chanted, I  rolled my eyes as I spun around which made them clap and cheer "yes perfect" they said, I giggled "Thanks girls" I said,

They nodded "Of course you have to tell us everythin tomorrow" Hermione said, I giggled and nodded "Okay. He should be here soon. Remember to come up with a plan so Cedric doesn't find out because he's too protective of me" I said, the girls nodded as there was a knock on the door which made my heart race a bit "go get your man" they said and pushed me a bit.

I smiled softly and nodded as I took a deep breath and walked to my dorm and opened it seein a nice lookin Oliver wearin blue jeans and a flannel, he even brought flowers which made my eyes widen, face flush and stomach flutter...what is this boy doin to me?

We both smiled softly "Wow you look beautiful" He said, I blushed and smiled "th-thanks you look great yourself" I said, he smiled and handed me the flowers "These are for ya of course. Didn't know what ya'd like so I got you one of eveythin" he said a little nervously which made me giggle because I've never seen him a little nervous before "they're perfect. Thank you" I said and handed them to the girls who smiled and awed softly.

I giggled "Ya ready ta go?" he asked, holdin out his arm like a gentleman which is making me swoon yet again, how is he so kind and gentle? I blushed and nodded as I looped my arm with his which made us smile as we headed out of my dorms and out of the castle greeted by the cool air which made me smile softly "So where are we goin?" I asked,

Oliver smiled "Hogsmeade. Thought I'd just take ya out for dinner" he said, I blushed and smiled and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear which made Oliver chuckle "I tend ta notice ya do that a lot" he said, I blushed and smiled "Y-yea I tend to do it when I'm shy or embarrassed" I said,

He chuckled "are ya shy then?" he asked, I bit my lip a bit and nodded "I mean how can I not? I've never been on a date before, let along had a crush on a guy before so I don't really know what to do and I don't wanna mess anythin up" I admitted,

Oliver chuckled "Awe well I'm glad I could be yer first and you won't mess anythin up" he said, I looked at the floor as we walked in a nice lookin restaurant. Me and Oliver found a seat and sat down. A waiter came by with menus and started us off with drinks which Oliver got us both butterbeers (Makin this shit up so don't @ me), "I don't see how this is your first date ever" He stated, I blushed shyly and nodded "well, it is. Why do you sound shocked?" I asked tilting my head a bit, Oliver chuckled "I mean you're gorgeous, I don't know why any lad's haven't scooped ya up yet" He stated with a grin.

I smiled as the waiter came back with our drinks and took our order for food and went to make that "That's sweet Ollie, but nope. I grew up a shy girl who hid behind her big brother all her life and I still do that and I'm 16 so" I said shyly, Oliver chuckled a little and intertwined his fingers with mine which made me blush a little "well I'm glad to be your first then" He said, I blushed shyly as my heart and stomach fluttered with butterflies...so this is what it feels like huh?

The waiter came back with our food, "So an Ice skater huh?" He asked smirking, I giggled "Yup. The one and only" I said, "I saw you skatin that night" he admitted, my eyes widen and face flushed with embarrassment "O-Oh...I-I didn't know that" I stuttered, Oliver chuckled and scratched the back of his neck a bit "I didn't mean ta sound stalkerish, I was practicin Quidditch when I saw ya and Cedric walk out of the tower and I got curious so I saw you walk to the Black Lake, freeze it, put on yer skates and just have so much fun skatin and singin" he said,

I blushed shyly and looked down a bit "It was amazin really. Yer amazin" he said, I smiled "T-thanks" I whispered, he just nodded and kissed the back of my hand "So how long you've been skatin?" He asked, "9 years" I said, his eyes widen "Blimey, really?" he asked, I giggled and nodded "Again, you sound shocked" I stated,

He shook his head "No, I'm just amazed really" He said, I blushed as I brushed my hair behind my ear "It's just a shy girl like ya on the ice is incredible" he said, my eyes widen as I looked at him "r-really?" I asked shyly, he chuckled "Oh ya. You're fantastic" he said, I smiled shyly "T-thank you" I said, he smiled and nodded "Do ya not get cold at all?" he asked, I shook my head "Never?" he asked, I shrugged "not really" I said,

He chuckled "Interstin, how's that?" he asked, I sighed a bit "I've been learning to ice skate since I was 7 so about 9 years now and it's amazing, it's just so freein and relaxin and just so fun...I practically grew up in the cold...I was born on January 1st during one of the coldest years in England. My parents loved telling me this story that I was born not only during a snowstorm but it knocked out the power in the hospital while my mother gave birth to me and it dropped to about -3.8 Celsius, but I was never cold. I mean sure I get cold but I enjoy the cold and the snow...there's just something about it and I'm not sure if it's cause I was born in one of the coldest times of the year but I always loved the cold, the rain and snow'

'I would never miss a moment where either of those things happened and surprisingly, I never got sick either because well...I was born in this and despite my parents always warning me not to go outside during those times but I would anyways because I always had fun and my parents and Cedric were always there with me. When I was 7, Mum and dad signed me up for Ice Skatin, I've always seen people on the telly do it and it always looked so fun that I started practicing like it was ballet. Spinnin in circles, sliding on any hardwood floors while spinnin and like I was figure skatin so my parents signed me up and it was the best thing ever...'

'Now here we are 9 years later and thankfully for Magic we have a small lake that's always frozen so I go and ice skate almost every night...Night skatin is always so much better because the moonlight and streetlights shinin down on the ice always made it sparkle and havin my skates kick that sparkle up like it was glitter was always one of the most amazin things ever" I explained with passion.

Oliver looked at me with a shocked but pleased look on his face, my face flushed as I brushed my hair behind my ear "s-sorry I didn't mean to ramble" I stuttered shyly. Oliver kissed the back of my hand which made me blush as my heart raced a bit "Never apologize. You sound so passionate about skatin, I can see why ya love it so much and I like hearin ya talk about it really it makes yer eyes sparkle" he admitted,

I giggled shyly and nodded "How about you with Quidditch then Captain?" I asked, he chuckled a bit "Been playin since I was a wee lad. Best sport ever, when I first came ta Hogwarts, I wanted to sign up immediately but unfortunately first years weren't allowed so I had ta wait till my second year and I started out as a seeker where ya catch the golden snitch, then every year I moved up as a Chaser, Beater, Keeper and now here I am as a captain and I love it a lot, it's great and I wouldn't change it for the world" He said,

I giggled and smiled "you sound passionate about it as well" I said, he smiled "Guess we both are passionate about the things we love ta do" he said, I blushed and nodded "That we do Ollie" I said, he nodded "I'm assuming bein an ice skater comes with injuries" He stated, I scoffed "you have no idea" I said,

He chuckled "tell me. Can't be worse than mine" he said, I smirked a bit "I beg to differ" I said, he smirked smugly "When I first got my very own skates, I was 10 years old and when I first was practicing on ice, I fell face first so many times that I ended up breakin my nose and scrapin up my entire face" I said with a giggle.

Oliver tried hard not to laugh but ended up laughing which made me giggle "Did ya cry?" he asked, I shook my head "Nah. I may be shy but I'm not a quitter, I'm competitive so pain never bothered me" I said with a shrug, Oliver chuckled "I can't tell ya how many times I've fallen off my broomstick and ended up breaking pretty much every ligament my legs, feet, arms and hands but I never stopped riding that broom" he said,

I winced a bit "ouch" I said, he nodded "I've broken my ankles and wrists before as well" I said, he scrunched up his nose a big which made me giggle "painful huh?" he asked, I nodded "you never really realized how hard ice is until you've broken so many bones on it" I said, Oliver chuckled "Yea, I bet. I bet" He said,

I giggled a little "One time I gashed my leg open with the skates that I needed stitches and was forced off my skates for 6 weeks which was awful, I tried to escape so many times but my parents and brother literally put a tracker on me and if I moved even the slightest out of the house then it would go off" I said with a groan, Oliver chuckled "Wow...protective much?" He asked, I nodded "family" I said, he nodded "So ya have scars from those then?" he asked, I blushed shyly "Yup got many" I said,

Oliver rubbed the back of my hand "Can I see them?" he asked with concern and sympathy, I blushed shyly "another time" I said, he nodded "Durin a game I got hit in the head with a quaffle which is the ball ya use to get points and I blacked out and didn't remember a thing" He said,

I put my hand over my mouth "Oh my" I said, he nodded and scrunched up his nose a bit "yea, such a filthy bugger it is but I'm all healed and better so don't need ta worry" he said with a wink which made me blush and smile softly "Good. Well looks like we're hell of the fighters for the sport we love huh?" I asked,

Oliver chuckled "that we are Cece, that we" he said and rubbed my hand which made me blush, smile and chuckle as we finished up our lunch and talked more about our lives and our parents and our favorite and least favorite things and I can't tell you how fun this was and how happy this made me...

After dinner, Oliver offered to pay which was really sweet of him. Me and Oliver decided to walk back to Hogwarts since it wasn't really far from Hogsmeade. Oliver intertwined his calloused hands with mine which made me blush shyly as I grabbed his arm and leaned against him "I had a great time Ollie" I said lookin up at him.

He looked down at me and smiled "I had a great time too" he said, I blushed and smiled softly as we headed back to the Castle. Oliver was sweet enough to walk me be back to my dorm. When we got there, I didn't want this day to end.

We both looked at one another and smiled as Oliver wrapped his arms around my waist, I blushed and smiled shyly as I put my hands on his chest and wrapped them around his neck. We both just stared at each other in comfortable silence until my heart and stomach fluttered and face flushed.

Oliver chuckled which made me look down feelin embarrassed. Oliver gently grabbed my chin with his thumb and pointer finger and made me look at him. He chuckled and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear which made my breathin hitch a bit "yer face is so red" he said and poked my red cheeks.

I giggled shyly "th-thanks to you" I whispered, he chuckled "your eyes are sparkin again" he whispered while starin into my eyes, I blushed shyly and smiled "Yer so beautiful" He whispered, my heart and stomach fluttered,  "you're so handsome" I managed to say, Oliver smiled softly as his eyes flickered to my lips "may I?" he whispered, I smiled and nodded which made him chuckle as he gently leaned in and pressed his lips against mine.

I felt so many jolts of electricity course through my veins at the new feelin cause I've never kissed anyone before and it felt...amazin...like I was on cloud 9. His lips were soft and warm against mine and tasted sweet. The kiss was long, lingerin and passionate.

It felt like the kiss lasted hours but was only minutes, until Oliver pulled away leavin me breathless. I blinked a few times "W-wow" I whispered, Oliver chuckled "Incredible" he whispered which made me bite my lip a bit and look down "Cecelia Diggory will ya doin me the honor of bein mine?" he asked, I looked at him blushin and smiling more and noddin "I'd love to Oliver Wood" I whispered,

He chuckled and pecked my lips again "I-I should get goin" I whispered, Oliver chuckled "I'll see ya tomorrow Love" he whispered with a wink which made me blush and nod as he walked away which made me smile as I headed in the common room and let out a shaky breath.

I put a finger to my tinglin lips and smiled like there's no tomorrow. I put my hand over my mouth to keep me from squealin...I can't believe that just happened...how am I goin to think straight and sleep now? What's Cedric gonna think most of all? Oh man...incredible...
