Chapter 7: Captain of The Gryffindor Quidditch Team

(Cecelia's Pov)

After skatin yesterday, I was exhausted, if not sore so once I changed into my pj's and hit the bed, I was out like a light. The next day, I fluttered my eyes open and groaned as I felt my body ache and didn't think I'd be able to make it to class today. I sighed as I sat up and groaned feelin the tension in my body with each movement...I'mma need a long hot bath.

I sighed as I rubbed my face tiredly and yawned. I looked at Snowflake who was sleepin peacefully on her little perch. I giggled and smiled as I begrudgingly hopped out of bed stretchin and yawnin again. I groaned and rubbed my sore legs and put my bedhead hair in a messy bun.

I looked seein it was 7:30am which made me sigh as I went to see if Cedric was awake until there was a knock on my door "Come in" I said and looked seein it was Ceddy, I smiled softly at him which made him do the same "mornin sis" he said, I smiled "Mornin" I said, "Are you comin to breakfast?" he asked,

I sighed "I will but I'm so sore so I might not make it to class today so do you think you can take notes and get my work for me?" I asked, Cedric smiled "Of course sis" he said and kissed my head, I smiled softly "good. Now let me change and we can have breakfast" I said,

Cedric nodded as he headed out and left me to change which made me smile as I hopped out of my pj's and into blue ripped jeans with a white long sleeve turtleneck shirt. I slid on my shoes and groaned as I headed out of my room and to the common room. Ced looked at me and smiled "Ready?" he asked, I nodded as we headed out of the common room and to the Great Hall for breakfast.

We saw our friends as we went over and sat by them. They looked at us and smiled "Mornin Diggory's" Hermione greeted, we chuckled "mornin" we said as we grabbed some food and somethin to drink "What are your plans for today?" Harry asked, I shrugged "all that skatin left me sore so imma take it easy today" I said,

Everyone nodded "Can we at least practice Quidditch later?" Cedric asked, I sighed and looked at him which made him pout a bit. I rolled my eyes "fine. You're lucky I love you Ced" I said, he smiled and chuckled a bit "You play quidditch too?" Ron asked, I scrunched my nose up and shook my head "Eh not really no. Me and Ced while we both are competitive, it's only with our own sport, I'm only good at Ice skatin and he's only good at Quidditch but we both try the other out cause it's fun and why not so" I said and shrugged,

The others nodded "Say I'm practicin later with Oliver Wood, you two can join us" Harry said, I titled my head a bit "who's Oliver Wood?" I asked, the twins chuckled "He's the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team" "and he's right over there" they said and pointed to their left which made me look seein a boy with short brown hair by another ginger which I'm assuming was Percy Weasley.

I nodded "How do you think Oliver would react to her skatin?" I heard Fred ask George, "Maybe he'll change his mind about obsessin over Qudditch and date her" George said, my eyes widen and face flushed as I finished up my breakfast and then started to obsess over this Oliver Wood guy...I mean I didn't get a clear look of what he looked like but maybe I'll see him better later.

I said bye to Ceddy and the others as I headed up to my dorm, grabbed my towel and toiletries and headed to the bathroom and turned on the water to take a nice long hot bath for my achin and sore muscles.

I hopped out of my clothes, set them somewhere dry and hopped in lettin out a small sigh as the hot water felt nice. I sighed and splashed some hot water on my face and leaned back a bit letting my body get submerged in the water.

After my bath, I drained the water, hopped out and wrapped a towel around me. I sighed and felt a little better as I headed back to my dorms knowin no one would be in there. Once I got there, I dried off, hopped in clean undergarments and in my outfit and sat on my bed and did some light reading until Lunch.

(A FEW HOURS LATER!)

After a while it was finally lunchtime. I saved my place in my book, hopped out of bed and headed down to the common room seein Cedric walk in. He looked at me and smiled "hey sis was about to come get you for lunch" he said, I smiled "well here I am. Let's go" I said, he nodded "how are you feelin?" he asked, I sighed "Better" I said, he nodded "so you up for quidditch after lunch?" he asked, I nodded as we headed down to the Great Hall for lunch.

We saw the others aside Harry which I'm assumin him and this Oliver Wood were already practicin...I hope they got food in them cause it's not healthy to practice any sport without energy in ya...

Anyways we sat down, grabbed some food and began to eat and chat. After we ate, Cedric dragged me to the Quidditch stadium to practice because he was also Captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team so that's great, a Prefect and Captain huh? He's more important than me...I wish there was an actual Ice skatin ring and like competitions because that would be amazin and I would totally crush it, not tryin to be cocky but I really would.

Anyways, when me and Cedric got to the Quidditch Stadium, we already saw Harry there along with I'm assuming was this Oliver Wood, but it was still hard to tell what he looked like cause they both were fast on their broom sticks. They both stopped once they saw us and flew down to us.

My eyes widen and face flushed because the guy I didn't know was cute...he had these bright brown eyes and short brown hair and was wearing a dark turtleneck sweater with nice pants. He looked at us and smile "Ah what da we have here?" He asked in his Scottish accent which made my heart and stomach flutter.

My brother smirked "me and my little sister here just came to practice Quidditch" Ced said, the boy looked at me and smiled "yer little sister huh?" he asked, I blushed shyly and looked down shyly which made Ced chuckle "yup. Cecelia meet Oliver Wood, Oliver meet Cecelia" He said introducin us.

I looked up to see Oliver smilin softly at me, I blushed shyly and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear "Nice ta meet ya Cecelia" he said which made my heart flutter more because I liked the way he said my name, "n-nice to m-meet you too" I said shyly,

He smiled softly "How about we practice together huh?" Cedric suggested, my brother looked at me which made me nod "Sure. Let's do it. Cecelia you can be seeker alongside Harry" Oliver said, I smiled softly and nodded as we all got on our broomsticks and started to play...like I said I wasn't good like I am with Ice Skatin but I guess it's just practice but I got embarrassed in front of Oliver.

After practice, I was getting tired and frankly so were the others and I'd like to let my body rest a bit more since I'm not 100% better from feelin sore. We all hopped off our brooms and sighed and started walkin back to the castle "Not too bad Diggory" Oliver said, I smiled shyly and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear "T-thanks Q-Quidditch just isn't my thing" I said,

Oliver chuckled "what is?" he asked, "Ice skatin" I said, he smirked "oh ice skater huh?" he asked, I smiled softly and nodded "Y-yea" I whispered, "Maybe you should show me sometime" he said and wink "M-Maybe" I whispered which made him smile as he waved bye to the boys and parted ways.

My heart and stomach fluttered which made Harry chuckle and put a hand on my shoulder "I think he fancies you Cece" He said, I tensed up a bit "what?" I asked, he chuckled "Oliver is normally never focused on anyone that isn't Quidditch, if that isn't already a clue that he has a little somethin for ya. I don't know what does" He said,

My face flushed as I felt the air get knocked out of me. I could only blink which made Harry chuckle "I'll see you guys later" he said and walked away as well as I froze not knowin what to think or do...I looked at Cedric who looked a little uncomfortable which made me tilt my head a bit "What is it Ced?" I asked,

He shook his head "nothin, I don't like that Oliver is flirtin with ya" he said, my eyes widen as my face flushed again "W-what? H-he wasn't flirtin" I said, Ced rolled his eyes "maybe not to you but Harry's right...Oliver is never focused on anyone but Quidditch so I don't know what that was about" He said,

I frowned "H-he's probably just bein friendly" I whispered, Ced sighed and rubbed my back "maybe you're right. I have to get to class. I'll see you at supper" he said, I nodded as he kissed my head and headed to our class which made me sigh as I sat outside for a bit to just try and figure out what the hell just happened...

(Oliver's Pov)

Cecelia Diggory I heard her name was...that's who I saw that night in the woods ice skatin the other night...Cedric Diggory's younger sister...how fascinatin is that? Quidditch player and Ice Skater siblins? I wonder how that worked out...I was in the Quidditch Stadium practicin with Harry until I saw both Hufflepuff siblins come in.

Me and Harry went to greet them as once I set my eyes on Cecelia Diggory, I felt those same feelins I felt when I first saw her that night and I knew that once I saw that sparkle in her eye...I knew she would be different from all the other girls who like to flirt with me and I knew that I would want ta keep her close so that's what I'm gonna do.

Cedric suggested we all practice together which I had no problem with, for an Ice Skater, she's not too keen on Quidditch, she'd get embarrassed when she lost as a Seeker between Harry. I could only smile as my heart and stomach fluttered from seein her face get so red of embarrassment because I thought it was cute but she was an ice skater so it would only make sense that Quidditch isn't her thing but I liked her dedication inta tryin at least.

After a while of practicin, we all decided to stop before class started. When we walked back I complimented how well Cecelia was even if she was basically a beginner but not too shabby for an ice skater. She would blush shyly and brush a strand of hair behind her ear which I noticed she did when she got nervous or shy...it was quiet cute if I may say.

When I parted ways with them, I headed back ta the Gryffindor common room ta drop my broomstick off before headed ta class. I couldn't help but smile as now my mind clouded with Cecelia Diggory which is not a thing that happens cause I'm usually so focused on Quidditch...but that sparkle in her eye suggests somethin else...but what though?

I didn't notice Harry walked in until he chuckled, I blinked a few times and looked seein Harry smirkin "Since when did you flirt with girls?" He asked, I chuckled "I don't" I said and technically lied ta myself.

Even Harry saw right through is and chuckled "Oliver Wood the wizard obsessed with Quidditch now thinkin of girls? Or should I saw one witch in particular? Cecelia Diggory?" he teased, I smiled softly and shook my head "Whatever ya say Potter" I said,

He chuckled "you should ask her out" Harry said, I furrowed my eyebrows a bit "And why should I do that?" I asked, he chuckled "cause I can tell how smitten you both are, plus why not? You're normally never focused on girls...what makes her so special?" Harry asked, I smirked and shook my head "ya want the truth?" I asked,

Harry nodded "Tell anyone Potter and yer dead understood?" I asked pointin at him, he chuckled and nodded "Oliver Wood with secrets now...wow who are you?" he joked, I shook my head "I'll admit I saw her ice skatin the other night when I was practicin quidditch. Hearin her sing and skate around lookin so confident and passionate about her sport just...mesmerizes me...not ta mention she has this sparkle in her eye when she does it and I-I don't know why she fascinates me so much but she does and it's definitely a new feelin" I said,

Harry smirked a bit "Don't get ahead of yerself Potter. I just met the lass" I said, he chuckled "Well you're definitely smitten my friend. You should do somethin about that" he said, I chuckled and shook my head as we headed out of our dorms and to the rest of my classes...I can't believe I'm sayin this but...Potter's right...I should do somethin about it...and I think I have just the plan 😉
