Chapter 5:

Jiji stared, Momo was there, where had she been yesterday? But Jiji suddenly realised that he wasn't hidden, Momo was going to see him!! He desperately searched for a place to hide, then he noticed the puddle by Momo's feet. The puddle had been created by the early rain that morning, Jiji stared at the puddle, but he didn't see Momo's reflection in it. Instead all he saw was a mass of black fire.

Okarun couldn't just watch, he needed to make Jiji hide, quickly!!

As a leader, Aira had to make sure her team didn't fail, she needed to remind Jiji that he needed to hide!!

Jiji's walkie-talkie made a sudden crackle, he picked it up and put it to his ear, a loud sound erupted from it, "~ This is turbo reporting to eye~ This is acro reporting to eye~ Hide!! Over,~". Jiji clenched the walkie-talkie and dashed over to hide among the people at the school store, then he held the walkie-talkie to his ear, "~This is eye reporting to acro and turbo, emergency meet up  ASAP! Over,~". 

DING-DONG!!

Outside the school gates; "So, I was right," Aira says grinning, " Momo has been possessed by a demon! This can only mean one thing, we've got to kill her! ". Okarun and Jiji stare at Aira horrified, " We can't do that!! " they both shout outraged. "Fine," Aira sighs, " We'll just exorcise the demon then, ". "But how do we do that?" Okarun asked. They stared up at the cloudy sky, " I don't know, but we should probably head home now, " Jiji replied. "I'll come with you Jiji," Okarun said, " Just in case miss ayase comes back, ". "well, as the leader, I think we should stick together in case of an emergency!" Aira shouted.

 Sieko's house; "So, we know that cold water might work, like with Jiji and the evil eye," Okarun said gesturing to Jiji . Jiji sighed, " But that wouldn't exorcise the demon, ". "Yes, but that also means that cold water would make Momo the same again," Aira said. Jiji realised what Aira was trying to say, " Yeah, and hot water would turn her back into the black fire! " . Okarun eyes lit up, " Yeah, and Momo might know how to exorcise the black fire! ". Jiji frowned, "But what about Sieko?" he asked. They all looked at each other, thinking the same thing, 'what if the black fire had done something to Sieko'. After a long pause Jiji broke the silence," Well, " Jiji said, " I know one place she could be, ". He stared at the wooden trapdoor by the stairs which they hadn't noticed before. 

Jiji and Aira watched as Okarun inspected the trapdoor, " It needs a key, " he said at last. "Oh, don't worry," Jiji said, " I found one in the time I was here, and tried it out on a lot of different locks. But I eventually realised That it was supposed to go in this trapdoor, " . Okarun carefully took the key from Jiji, " Have you ever gone down there though? " he asked Jiji. Jiji smiled, "No, never," . Aira suddenly snatched the key from Okarun's hands and put it in the key hole, CLICK. They hesitated before lifting the trapdoor and looking down at the cold, stone steps. "Jiji, you go in first!" Aira demanded. "Huh, why me!" Jiji complained. "Because we can't risk me dying!" Aira argued. " But aira, you're the leader, " Okarun pointed out, " Shouldn't you go first? ". 

Aira stepped carefully down the stairs leading to the pit of darkness clutching her phone in one hand. "I can't see anything!" Aira complained, " Even with my phone torch! " . 

Jiji and Okarun peered through the trapdoor at Aira, unsure whether to go in themselves. When a sudden scream echoed from the trapdoor, "Aira!" Okarun and Jiji yelled. Jiji got out his phone and switched on the torch, " Okarun, you don't have a phone, so we'll have to share, ". Then Jiji stepped into the trapdoor and headed down the steps towards Aira, " Come on Okarun! ". Reluctantly, Okarun climbed into the trapdoor as well. 

They reached the bottom of the stairs, but there was no sign of Aira. They heard another scream, and the two dashed towards where the sound was coming from. Aira was standing there pointing to a small spider on the floor, " It's a giant spider! Kill it! Quick! ". Jiji passed his phone to Okarun, then knelt down and scooped the spider up in his hands and put it on the wall. Then he turned round to face the others, " Good news, " Okarun said, " I found the lightswitch, ". FLICK. The lights were on, " Wow, it's bright! " Jiji said squinting at the sudden brightness. "And there's no Sieko...." Okarun sighed. CRACK. A noise came from behind the corner, Okarun and Aira transformed, and approached the sound cautiously . Jiji stayed behind them, as they turned the corner Aira lashed out her hair to grab whatever was there. They looked at what Aira had caught, " ew, a rat! " Aira sulked. And she let it go instantly, they de-transformed. "Guess Sieko wasn't here after all," Jiji sighed.

They headed back up the stairs, and turbo granny was at the top. "What we're you idiots doing down there?" She asked. " looking for Sieko, " Jiji replied, " but she wasn't down there, ".

DING-DING-DONG

Jiji looked at Okarun, " Shouldn't we get the door? " he asked. "No, I've heard that doorbell before, " Okarun replied, " It would be best not to open it, ". 

DING-DING-DONG

"Why not?" Jiji asked. 

DING-DING-DONG

 "Because," Okarun explained , "that doorbell is for spirits and ghosts!".

But before they could stop her, Aira went and opened the door. And standing right behind it was Momo, she blinked, and little sparks of black fire flew from her eyes.

I usually create a new chapter within 2-3 days, so I'll have the next chapter done soon.
