twelve
17:56, 10 April 2019Being out of the office for a week now, I've been able to get myself into a new groove, and being of two days helps with preparing for the baby and spending time with the kids. In fact, the kids are actually getting excited. Brayden still doesn't understand and he still says 'wittle brudder' instead of sister but he doesn't understand so once she arrives, I have a feeling he'll get it. They've even gotten into the habit of going to the baby's room and helping me put things together. Today, in fact, Kameron asked when we could put the hospital bag together... I mean, yeah, I'm 30 weeks but don't think she's coming soon enough to get my bags packed. But, I guess I could let him help in a few weeks when I decide to do it.
Thankfully, mama lee is here today, giving me a chance to take a small nap considering Justin hasn't been giving me too much work to do... not that there's much going on anyways.
Anyway, now that I'm a bit more rested than lately and don't have any work to do, I put on a dress and some white vans before making myself looking a bit presentable and deciding to run some errands... starting with visiting Justin at work.
Walking downstairs, I grab the car keys and look over to the kids, grinning lightly as Kameron notices me.
"Mommy! Where are you going?" Kameron asks, running over.
"I'm going to the grocery store and go see your daddy for a few minutes." I tell him. "Do you want to come?"
He nods. "Yeah!"
"Okay, go put your shoes on." I say, and, of course, he does.
I say goodbye to the other kids and mama lee before taking Kameron outside and letting him get in the car before climbing in the front seat and starting to drive to the get us three some lunch.
After picking up the food, we arrive to the office and I carry the food inside and upstairs before lightly knocking on Justin's door. "Knock, knock!"
"Hey baby." Justin says, a smile appearing on his face.
"Daddy!"
"What's up little man!" Justin says, picking Kameron up and throwing him in the air a little before setting him back on the ground. "Are the other two gonna run in too?"
I shake my head. "No, Kam wanted to come so I let him. I brought lunch."
"Alright." Justin smiles as I take out the lunch for him and hand it over. I then give Kam his lunch and put mine down in front of me.
"What's Elena and Brayden doing?" Justin asks Kam.
"They were just playing while I watched PJ Masks." Kameron says, taking a bite of his food.
"Oh okay, what episode were you watching?" Justin asks.
"I was watching the one where Lunagirl steals the microphone and stops the concert." he answers.
"Oh, that's a good one. I like that one." Justin nods.
"Yeah!" Kameron laughs.
"And mommy, what were you up to?" Justin asks, looking over at me.
"I finished all my work and took a nice nap." I tell him.
"Ohhh." he grins.
"And then I decided that I needed to go to the store and come see you so here I am." I answer, smiling.
He smirks, nodding while chewing the food in his mouth.
Once Kameron's done with his food, Justin turns on the tv in the corner for him while we continue eating.
"How're the numbers?" I ask, sighing while shoving some food in my mouth.
He sighs heavily, shaking his head. "Not good. I need to figure out a way to raise them. Once I figure out how, it should be pretty easy."
I nod. "You'll get there, babe."
He grins, nodding. "Thanks baby."
"Well, I know you-"
"No..." he sighs. "I mean for taking care of the kids, and dealing with my bullshit and doing this by yourself right now. I wanna be there. I do. I just gotta take care of this first so I can." he tells me.
I grin, nodding and grabbing his hand. "I know... and we'll get there."
He smiles, picking up my hand and kissing it lightly.
After we finished our conversation... and our lunch, Kameron and I leave, making our way to the grocery store.
Once making it, Kameron walks alongside me while helping grab things on lower shelves.
"Good job." I encourage when he puts the boxes of pasta into the cart.
After checking out, we begin towards the exit, only stopping when someone steps in front of the cart.
"Mrs. Bieber."
Elianna sighs. "Mr. Matthews. What a surprise."
He smiles. "Who is this?"
"This is Kameron, say hi, honey."
"Hi." Kameron says softly, holding onto my arm.
"Hello Kameron." he smiles before looking over to me. "I thought your son's name was Brayden."
"Yes, this is Justin's son from his previous relationship."
"Ahh, so he's not yours." he grins.
I give him a look. "No, he's mine. I take care of him."
"That doesn't make him yours." he chuckles, pushing my buttons.
"Well, both I and my husband disagree with you. But, if you'll excuse us we have frozen foods and two other children to get home to." I tell him politely.
"Of course." he sighs, moving aside.
"You have a good day." I tell him, pushing the cart away and giving him a small smile.
Once the groceries are in the back and we're both in the car, I tell Kameron to put his headphones on and watch his show while I call Justin and the call goes through bluetooth.
"Hey baby, what's up?"
"Kameron, are your headphones on?" I ask, waiting a second to make sure he can't hear. "Okay, babe, I just ran into him again."
"At the store?"
"Yeah." I answer.
"Did anything happen?" he asks.
Turning on my signal, I turn onto one of the roads towards home, sighing heavily. "Babe, he had the audacity to tell me that Kameron is not my son because I didn't give birth to him!"
Justin sighs.
"Kameron was like, terrified, I kid you not, he would not let go of me."
Justin lets out a big sigh again.
"Like, how dare he tell me that Kameron is not my son. I take care of him and I treat him as my son as he treats me as his mother. His mother doesn't take care of him! I do. He is my son." I tell him.
"He has no right to say shit in the first place. He doesn't know us and he doesn't know our family or our situation." Justin speaks up for the first time. "Almost makes me want to have a conversation with him."
"But don't." I say, sighing. "I wanted to yell at him so bad but I politely told him we look at the situation different and that we had to leave."
"I guess that was the best way to handle it."
"Yeah." I sigh. "Okay. You're not working tomorrow right?"
Justin sighs. "I might do a bit in the morning but I'll be inside for breakfast and I'll be done by lunch." he says.
"Okay, because it's an important day that can be spared."
"I promise baby."
"Okay, I love you."
"I love you too." he tells me.
Thankfully, Justin kept his promise the next morning. He even arrived home at ten instead of eleven and came right to bed. So, as 5am hit, he gets up and begins work in the office before coming inside at eight for Brayden's birthday breakfast and heading back out afterwards. But, as I said before, he kept his promise and walks into the house at 11am to eat lunch with the kids and I.
After lunch, the kids go down for their naps and Kameron starts his quiet time in his room while I send Justin to get Brayden's birthday cake, more ingredients for me to cook with and ice cream along with some snacks while I begin to make pigs in a blanket and mac and cheese bites.
Once Justin gets back from the store, the kids wake up and come downstairs, eating a couple snacks and then starting to play in the living room.
After putting together some more food; salad cups, fruit kabobs, sandwich skewers, and pizza pinwheels, I look at the clock to notice it's already 4pm, meaning our families will be arriving in a half hour or so.
Getting the kids out of their pajamas and into their outfits, I take them downstairs and get ready myself, putting light curls in my hair, putting on some makeup and dressing in leggings and a tee.
Our families arrive, being the only guests considering Brayden's not in school yet, we all talk and eat the snacks I had made early, some making their way out onto the patio where Justin and some of the kids are while others are in the living room and kitchen.
"How baby doing?" Justin's aunt asks, walking over and gesturing to ask if she can touch the bump.
I nod, telling her to go ahead. "She's good. Kicking and punching." I laugh.
"Only ten weeks to go. You'll miss it." she grins.
I nod. "I know. But I can't wait to meet her either."
She laughs, nodding. "I'm sure. Do you plan on working afterwards?"
I shake my head. "No, Justin and I talked and I decided I really just wanna stay at home with the kids full time. I mean, Mama Lee will be here to help until the baby gets to be a year old or so but after then I'll be by myself."
She nods. "Well, with four kids I'm sure that's for the best."
"I agree." I laugh lightly before moving on to talk to someone else.
After a night of conversation and celebration, Justin and I work together to put the kids to bed before taking showers and getting in bed ourselves, watching a movie and inevitably falling asleep in the middle of it.
