"So... I'm just saying. If we can't decide which mashed potatoes would be the best, why don't we just buy and make them all?" Kiro mused beside her, pushing an already almost overflowing basket.

"Because that is insane. We cant make them. Besides, we already have a lot of options in this basket. We will have a lot of food go too waste." She tried explaining, but it was almost a losing battle.

"Not if we eat it all! We could just get fat together. Problem solved!" stated the pop star matter of factly, meanwhile, adding three of the different flavored packs of instant mashed potatoes.

Kiro was amused when she didn't argue it and just scratched mashed potatoes off of their list and carried on down the line. A huge smile on his lips, though at this moment it was hidden behind a mask to keep anyone from noticing he was in the supermarket.

This whole ordeal had begun earlier in the day with a simple phone call. Kiro had called his beloved Ms.Chips asking for her plans for thanksgiving, and although a bit sad when she mentioned she didn't celebrate and would probably just curl up on the couch and watch a movie, he was thrilled when it meant she was free to join him on the holiday. He was calling it 'Kiro's super amazing Thanksgiving feast!' So now here they were, shopping for everything Kiro had scribbled onto the shopping list labeled 'ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE OR ELSE THE WORLD WILL END ON THANKSGIVING.' It seemed fitting.

After several trips from the car to his humble abode, all the mixture of ingredients were laid out before them. Granted, it was mostly for side dishes, trimmings, and dessert. Neither of them knew how to prepare a turkey, so Kiro had called in a favor from Savin, his agent. The king of the poultry world was promised to arrive later in the evening. Now all they had to do was begin preparing what they could!

It wasn't long before the normally empty and unused kitchen was filled with different scents and countless plates. Both of the 'Chips' couple exhausted and covered in lord only knew how many stains.

"Do you think we have everything? I'm telling you we should have gotten some things for potato salad!" pouted Kiro.

"You know what. At this point, if I see something else that has even a brief mention of the word 'potato' I might cry." Whined the girl, untying her apron and placing it on the back of a chair.

"I wanted to make sure we had everything perfect!" he whispered. He'd made the list absolutely perfect.

"Kiro, we have enough food to feed an army! I do hope you invited a lot of people." She muttered. Staring down the mountain of dirty pots and plates in the sink.

"Ummm about that.... How mad would you be if I said I only invited you?" he asked almost shyly.

"Just me? But we have so much! If it was just us why did we get so much? And what about Savin, he's bringing a turkey, I thought he was coming too!" she nearly shouted in shock.

"Well, I told him I wanted one, so he agreed to make one and drop it off."

"Kiro, I don't understand. Why so much. Why all of this?"

The blonde-haired young man stared down at his shoes. He hadn't known how to mention it. He'd never really had a thanksgiving celebration before. He'd been a performer for so long, always working, moving. He'd never had a home or a family to go home to and celebrate with. Always just him and some carry out. This year, since meeting his Miss Chips, he was grateful, and he wanted nothing more than to show her that. In all the movies and magazines, he'd always seen tables over packed with all types of dishes. Surrounded by people smiling and enjoying. And his heart had always been empty to it, always wanting to be a part. Now, he felt he could have some of it, and share it with the girl who meant the absolute world to him. Wanted to give her something to show just how grateful he was for her, even if it was only a fraction of what he truly felt. Truthfully, he would have liked to have a bunch of people to celebrate with, but he was certain others had lives and families, so he was so beyond happy when his love had been free.

Explaining it to her, he rambled on. Hoping that it would make sense. When he was done he was shocked to see her eyes filled with tears. She wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Oh Kiro," she started, "You could have just said that. We could have done this all on a smaller scale! You didn't have get all of this just for us two!"

"I know, but I wanted it to be perfect for you." He whispered to the top of her head. He hugged her tightly in return.

"Alrighty. Well no sense in being mopey now. It's almost time to eat, but we are an absolute mess. How about you grab a shower first. I'll start on the dishes. We still have some pies in the oven so not much left to do now!"

Kiro smiled softly at her, watching as she grabbed for her apron again and going to the sink.

"I'll be quick! Then you can shower too!" Kiro shot back at her already walking off to his bedroom.

"Take your time! Don't rush on my account! Besides, you have a ton of flour and other things in your hair! Make sure you are super clean!" she answered back.

Hopefully he would take his time, a new idea was forming in her head, and right now time was definitely something she'd need.

Kiro's shower had indeed been longer than he expected, who knew flour didn't just wash off easily, instead matting into his hair. He stood in front of the mirror, drying his hair. A new outfit on as he stepped back out into his home. The scents of food wafting all the way to him as his stomach rumbled. He walked to the kitchen where his girl was still wiping things down.

"yes that is perfect! Thank you so much, Savin! Ok, See you soon!" he found her talking on the phone quickly. A huge smile on her face.

"Savin called?" Asked Kiro curiously. "Is he on his way?"

"oh you are out! Good! Yeah, he says he is running a little late, but he will bring the turkey! I am going to run to my place for a little bit and get a change of clothes and shower! I should be back in like an hour."

Kiro smiled at her before snicker, several pits of heavens knew what on her cheeks and clothes. Cooking was so messy, who' da thunkint.

"You could just shower here. You are welcome to borrow one of my t-shirts, and I think I have some shorts that could fit you." Kiro tried to problem solved and was highly amused when she looked in absolute shock at the offer.

"I can't possibly celebrate in just a t-shirt! I need to look presentable."

"oh Miss Chips, you don't need to worry about that, you are absolutely beautiful regardless of what you wear or if you have eggshells in your hair!" He joked taking out an amusingly large shell from the mess atop her head.

She would have none of it though and practically ran out the door. Telling him to make sure he cleaned while she was gone. She promised to return quickly and with that Kiro was left alone again.

Kiro was putting the dried plates away when he heard a knock on the door. Looking at the clock it had only been forty-five minutes since she'd been gone. Maybe she really had rushed, but it wasn't her at the door. Instead it was Saving. A giant ball in an aluminum pan in his hands.

"Hello Kiro!" Savin started. "Hope you are ready for the most amazing turkey you've ever had!"

"I am! Thanks for bringing it!" Kiro quickly took it off of his hands and placed it in the now empty oven to stay warm.

What surprised him was what followed. He was certain Savin would leave, but instead he'd removed his jacket and hung it up, coming inside behind him and inspecting the kitchen.

"Wow she wasn't kidding! You guys really did make a ton of things! The stuffing looks pretty good!"

Kiro took a few moments and prattled off everything they'd made, he watched as Savin had made himself comfortable, now sitting on one of the chairs by the kitchen island.

"Thanks again for the invite! I was certain you'd want a day away from me! Especially because food is involved, but I promise I won't say a thing no matter what you eat today!"

Kiro was a tad confused but didn't argue it any. A few moments later a knock at the door as Kiro practically ran to it to let his girl back inside, but he was confused when he opened it.

"Hello! Oh my god, this place is great! I can't believe I'm actually here! I'm Kiki!"

"Um, hi Kiki?" Kiro asked in confusion as the young girl practically ran past him inside. He'd heard Miss Chips mention a kiki before, this must be her. That didn't explain why she was here though, or why she was sitting on his couch. She wasn't the only one, a few moments later another lady named Anna with her children in tow showed up in his doorway. Then a girl named Willow. Soon after a guy named Minor along with the cop guy who was an old classmate of Miss Chips.

Speaking of which, the next person was her. She looked adorable when she made it to his door. A new outfit far cleaner than her last. She hugged him quickly as he took a good sniff of her strawberry blossom shampoo.

"Welcome back," Kiro began. "Why are all these people here?"

She explained to him she'd made some calls and that she'd found others like them who hadn't had anywhere to go for thanksgiving, so she'd invited them all so that Kiro could have the people filled thanksgiving feast he'd dreamed of.

It wasn't long till his small flat was filled, some others had come, other people she worked with some guy from LFG named Goldman, even some of the people who worked for the agency Kiro was signed at, which Savin informed him he'd invited. The room was full, but not uncomfortable, the smell of turkey filling the room as plates were passed around and others served themselves from the absolute buffet of things they'd made.

"Attention everyone, I'd like to ask Kiro to cut the turkey, being as he is our gracious hosts!" Saving toasted. "Without him, none of us would have someplace like this to celebrate. So thank you, Kiro, for opening up your home and giving us something else to be grateful for! And thank you (Y/N) for calling us all and inviting us!"

So THAT'S what she'd done while he was in the shower! Why she'd asked him to take his time!

aThe cheers rang out as some clapped, some took photos. Kiro for the first time in a while embarrassed in front of people carved the turkey as best as he could. The bird was devoured quickly plates upon plates of food passing around. They all took turns speaking of what they were grateful for. Some for their jobs, others for family. Some for health.

His darling was grateful for the past year of experiences and for the success of her show. She also mentioned being grateful to have Kiro in her life and hoping to have more years with him.

When it was his turn. He looked around. "I want to give thanks to you all. For coming to be with me, for giving your day to be here. I'm thankful for not being alone for another holiday. I'm thankful for new friends and new memories with you all. I'm just so very thankful."

He meant every word.

The food was almost completely devoured. The chatting finally quieting down. The evening had been fantastic. So many stories and anecdotes from everyone. So many laughs and new happy memories. With everyone gone, his kitchen was an absolute nightmare, but right now he didn't' really care.

Fat and full, he sat back on the couch, a darling girl cuddled into his side equally satisfied with her fill of food. The quiet snores of a food coma coming from her adorable little face. He couldn't have possibly asked for more.

"I forgot to mention the thing I was most grateful for," Kiro whispered into the nothingness of the now quiet place.

"Beyond anything else. Beyond fame, comfort, all the food, and privileges. The thing I am most grateful for.... Is you."

A content little sigh could be heard as she cuddled in a little closer, unconsciously answering and accepting his thanks. He leaned his head on hers and smiled. Dream catching up to him quickly, joining her in his own food coma.

Thank you, Miss Chips.
