Epilogue

21:20, 20 February 2024

FIFTEEN YEARS LATER...

After the whole fiasco with Bella's baby, my niece, everything went to a semblance of normal. Well, as normal as it can be when you're married to a werewolf and technically a part of a werewolf pack.

My bookstore has been doing well since the opening. A steady work flow was set in place, even when I had to go on medical leave because of my twins, and then two years later with my daughter.

"Zak! Sean! We're going to Aunt Emily's in fifteen minutes for dinner!" I called upstairs, sighing when I heard some rough housing and a clunk against the floor.

"Mom! Zak pushed me!" Sean's voice whined, Zak smirking as he walks down the staircase.

Sighing, I turn to give Zak a stern look. "Zak, what did I say about pushing Sean?" I tried to reprimand, knowing that he was just going to do it again and again anyway. That was how siblings were.

At least, from what I am experiencing, brothers. Bella and I were never like this.

"To do it?" He says innocently, placing his hands behind his back as he rolls on the soles of his feet. Sean glares at his twin brother, rubbing his arm as he stands beside him.

"Don't do it," I scolded, noticing the smirk that Sean gave him. Like father, like sons, I thought with a sigh. Shaking my head, I yelled up the stairs. "Paul! We have to leave!"

"Alright, alright! I'm coming down!" He hollers back, and I shared a look with the two eleven year old boys. On cue my husband walks down, carrying two year old Hadley in his arms. "She was fussy. Had to give her Ollie before we left." He explained, and I noticed her stuffed rabbit that Embry had gotten her for her birthday clutched in her hands.

"Emily's already called me once, wondering where we are." I laughed faintly, shaking my head. Even though we didn't really live that far away from the Uley's, she was still paranoid about us being late to anything. Maybe that was a habit thing.

Paul rolls his eyes fondly as he cradles Hadley. "Of course she has. You boys ready?" He gives his twin sons a glance.

That stopped Sean from sulking as he beamed up at his father, grinning. "I'm ready! Emily makes the best food!" He chirps giddily, and I gasped - mock offended.

"What about my food?" I acted like I was disappointed, making Sean look at me immediately and his face dropping.

"Uh... well..." Sean mumbled, glancing over at Zak who had a smug look on his face. Zak was too much like Paul.

"Your food is good mom, but not as good as Aunt Em's!" He piped up with a grin on his face. Paul chuckled, shaking his head as I sighed in disappointment.

"Babe your food is amazing," Paul promised, walking over to give me a chaste kiss. The kids booed, fake gagging at our affection and making us chuckle as we split apart. "C'mon, lets go before we make Aunt Em even more mad." He states with a smirk on his face.

"Is Caleb going to be there?!" Sean asks excitedly, perking up instantly as we started walking out of the house. Caleb was Kim and Jared's child, a few years younger than our twins.

"If Uncle Jared and Aunt Kim are there he should be," I nodded my head, and Sean cheered. It warmed my heart that our kids were getting along. That was everything I had hoped it would be.

"I'm just stoked to hang out with Seb and Liam," Zak shrugs, pushing his hands into his jean pockets. Sebastien and Liam were Emily and Sam's kids. Seb was the same age as them, as Emily and I were pregnant around the same time, and Liam was a year younger.

Ruffling Zak's hair, he swatted at me as I went to grab Hadley - who immediately melted in my arms. "You'll get to play with all the kids as much as you guys want." I promised them, hearing the boys cheer.

It didn't take long for us to gather in the new Jeep Paul had gotten us when our family started to grow bigger. The truck just wasn't cutting it, and while I do miss the truck and the memories, this Jeep was definitely the right play that he made.

Strapping the kids inside, and putting Hadley in her baby seat we drove off to Emily's. The drive-way was already almost full, Kim and Jared's care being parked there. "Now kids, remember that Auntie Em is pregnant and to be gentle with her." I reminded them as I unbuckle their seatbelts, grabbing Hadley from her seat.

"Okay mom!" Sean and Zak both said at the same time, rushing up towards the Uley house excitedly. Shaking my head, I shared a look with Paul as we walked towards the house - bouncing Hadley so that she kept calm while she hugged her Ollie rabbit.

"Honey, we're home!" Paul called into the house, and I sent him an exasperated look.

"Zak! Sean!" A boyish voice cheered as we entered the living room. It was packed full of our friends and family, who were all chattering among each other. Caleb was playing with a toy truck in the middle of the room with Liam, not a care in the world. Kim was holding her newborn baby in her arms as she beamed at me as my kids rushed to join the others.

"Thank Gods you're here, Elaine!" Kim breathed as we gave each other a one-armed hug. "I don't know how much more boy talk I can take from these heathens," she shot her husband a look, along with Embry and Quill who were sitting on the couch.

They all gobsmacked at her as Paul goes to join them and I laugh. "I don't blame you, Kimmy," I snickered, smirking over at the boys. "Even my boys can be a bit much sometimes." Kim laughed as we walked into the kitchen where a very pregnant Emily was cooking Chili for the entire group.

"Em, let me help!" Sam groaned, not wanting his very pregnant wife to handle the heavy lifting.

"No, you'll just eat the food!" Emily reprimanded, and that was very true. These boys did not have any sense of self control when it came to food, even when they were done completely shifting. Habit, I supposed.

"She's right, ya know!" I chirped with a grin as he turned to look at me, narrowing his eyes. Emily turns around, squealing when she sees me and Kim standing there. "Everyone wants to eat, ya know." I teased him half-heartedly.

He gives me a look before sighing. "Fine, I'll leave. Now that you have two helpers." He gestures towards us, giving each of us a one sided hug before joining the others in the living room.

"Please, I don't need any help! I've been feeding you boys for decades!" She calls out to him, exasperated. "Men, I swear." She jokes, shaking her head. "How are you, Laney?" She turns to look at me, still stirring the soup.

Shrugging, I put Hadley in the baby seat at the table, in case Emily really needed help. Letting her keep the stuffed rabbit, I turned to look at Emily who was still giving me a questioning look. "Bella still won't stop pestering me, but otherwise we've been doing good." Bella and I had a bit of a fall out... well, no, a big fall out when she was pregnant. She had been a bitch, even when I was trying to help her in the beginning. Not being able to take that I promptly stopped helping her, and we haven't really spoken since she had Renesmee.

Sighing, Emily gives me a sympathetic look. "She'll have to come around sometime. Unlike her, you are aging. She lives on eternally." That was true. Bella was a vampire now, having been turned after Renesmee was born - considering she had almost died giving childbirth. I never really pictured Bella as a mother, mostly because she had never wanted it - considering how our own mother raised us.

However I had a feeling if I forgave her now it would just cycle around again, and I wasn't up for dealing with her when she hasn't matured... and won't.

"I'm starting not to care, honestly. She doesn't want to see her nephews and niece? That's fine. I don't have to let her see them, just like she won't let me see Renesmee." I shrugged, and that was what hurt more. I have never met Renesmee, and I heard she was something wonderful.

Dad had tried to get us to make up. He learned about our secret life, courtesy of Jacob, who showed him out of desperation. He was a little skeptical at first, but he took it in stride when he got used to the idea.

Though that didn't make him stop hating Edward more.

Edward has tried calling me several times to apologize for his wife's actions, but I didn't want to hear it from him. I wanted to hear it from my sister, who could care less about her family's feelings and more so her own.

"I'm sorry, Laney." She tells me quietly. "I wish things would have been different." So did I, but Bella made her bed. If this was how she wanted to spend the rest of eternity, knowing she would never get the closure or have the closeness we used to have well... that was her prerogative.

It wasn't hurting me any that she was acting like a child.

Stroking Hadley's head, I let her play with her rabbit as I turned towards Emily. "Oh well. What's done is done. Did you need any help?"

Another ten or so minutes passed by when there was a knock on the door. "Auntie Leah!" A cheer sounded, and I turned to give Kim a grin.

Walking to the edge of the living room, I leaned against the counter as Leah and Destiny walked inside. I perked up when they had a small girl with them, Destiny holding her hand as she peaked around them. They had mentioned they were going to adopt a little girl into they're family, but I didn't realize they had already done it. "And whose this?" I asked, smiling down at the little girl who gasped, hiding behind Destiny but peeking out at me cutely.

"It's okay, darling. That's Aunt Elaine," Destiny cues at her, making the little girl look at me more quizzically. My heart sped up at that, knowing Leah and Destiny had talked to me to the little girl. "This is Stacey, she's going to be living with us for now on." She gave me a look, and I understood immediately that she meant she adopted her.

"Stacey? Wow, what a pretty name!" I cooed, and Stacey looked up at me with owlishly brown eyes.

"Stacey Clearwater," Leah states proudly, beaming down at the little girl.

There was a groan at the couch and all three of us shot the boys a look. "We don't need another Clearwater! The three we have is enough!" Embry jokes, grinning at Leah who rolls her eyes - though there was a fond smile on her face.

"I resent that remark!" A familiar voice chipped in, and I grinned when Seth walked in, along with his girlfriend and imprint. Stella was newer to the group, a little shy thing that didn't really know what to do with such a big, tight knit group. "I'm the best Clearwater, obviously!" Seth boasted, smirking. "Though Stacey is second best," he concluded, ruffling the girls hair who pouted at the action.

"Uncle Seth!" She whined, and my heart awe'd at the sight. She was already calling Seth uncle? He must have visited her more than once with the girls, or she just took to him really well. Which wasn't a surprise, considering Seth got along with most people. If not all.

"Stella, come help us in the kitchen." I nod towards the kitchen, where Emily was cooking still.

Seth's eyes lit up at the mention of the word kitchen. "Is Emily cooking her infamous Chili? Oh, Stells! You're going to love it!" He turns around to his girlfriend, who looked amused at his child-like glee.

Everything was set in place, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

AN: And we are done! I am so in love with how this came out, and I am so proud of myself for finishing it. I just didn't see a need to add Elaine into Breaking Dawn, and I really did not want to write it lmao. So this sufficed, and I enjoyed writing the epilogue!

I am working on a Miraculous Ladybug AU atm, not sure when it'll be posted but I want a good chunk wrote before I do <3 so I hope you all like that! It's Adrien x OC, as per usual with my fanfics (I write OC x Original Character fanfictions) and I have been having a ton of fun with her character! She's a vigilante Miraculous user ^-^

Thank you for reading this fanfic, and I hope you all have a spectacular day!
