-R A Y E O N-

"Ahh my boy, come in and no need to worry. I understand you just came back from the states yesterday so you're probably still tired after the long flight. Welcome back to school" the teacher greeted as the boy straightened up his posture and bowed at him a bit.

He excused himself and took a seat beside me which I don't care because it's been vacant since I came here. It's not my seat so why should I forbid him from sitting beside me though.

"Okay let's continue shall we? Jinhwa take your paper from me please "The teacher continued giving out the test papers by calling out each students name as I doodled randomly on the table which I usually erased it soon after but then this new boy held my hand, triggering all of the cells in my body. Okay that's too dramatic but he literally triggered me.

"Don't draw on the table"he said simply and I didn't waste my time to swat his beautiful hand away from mine because I don't like other boys touching me except for beomgyu and that angel because I considered them as my 'boy friend' already.

I glared at him who's smiling at me as my hand was now busy erasing my doodles because somehow this new guy managed to make me do it instead of ignoring like I usually do. He looks too polite and too sweet for me to ignore and hate.

"instead...draw here...i like your doodles. It's so cute " the guy took out his notebook for a second and flipped it open on the first page where he wrote his name there to indicate that he's the owner of the book.

"Okay then... Taehyun?" I said slowly and pulled the book closer to me so I can doodle at the front page where he meant.

"Thank you and what's your name? As you know I came back from the states after the maths competitions but then I'm sure I didn't noticed you here before or did I missed anyone else in this class? " he asked feeling unsure as I finally curved a smile for the first time at him.

"probably you did miss someone in this class asides from me. I've been in this class for who knows since when but probably a social butterfly like you didn't notice me before. My name is Rayeon, Im Rayeon "I told since I actually remembered that I am not a new student here since the day I was given my mission and probably this Rayeon was too introvert that even some people in the class didn't notice her so I better pretend like I know him even if it means only his name just to stay in my character.

"Maybe I did and I'm so sorry for not being able to talk to you before and since the teacher is still handing out papers, let's talk a bit but we'll use a paper as our main thing to use for our communication for now "he suggested as I nodded a bit. He is quick witted alright and the fact that he recommended us to talk secretly by writing on a paper and not to make the teacher dissapointed in us for talking in his class sure was a great idea.

He pushed the piece of paper at me after writing something on it as I read it and replied soon after.

Hey, wanna be friends and my study buddy? I could use some guide for what topics and subjects I missed when I'm away.

I'm fine with it

"Oh come on, I took a day off today from work just to see you working Lion-sshi... Just let me come with you "Beomgyu tugged on my sleeve as I hit his head lightly with the book I'm holding on my hand as I have to use more energy to walk because this guy is tugging onto my arm so I could drag him down the sidewalk while he pouted and hugged my arm like a baby bear and I'm the grumpy momma bear who doesn't want to bring her child to work.

"why take a day off though? Nana would probably miss you at work and who'll play the guitar if you're not there?" I made up an excuse but ended up exposing myself.

"how did you know the girl I went out last time was Nana and how did you know her name? And how did you know I play the guitar when I never told you I played a guitar?" he asked innocently and purposely make himself heavier so I can't walk.

He stand up straight and shoved his face near mine and looked straight into my eyes as like finding an answer.

"Hey don't be too close like this. People would misunderstood us "I argue and pushed him away and he made a wondering face with a nod.

"But you look sus Rayeon-sshi. Anyways I'm going to go with you no matter what " he insisted as I gave up and his face lit up like a light bulb after turning the on switch.

He ran inside the apartment shouting that the first one to reach upstairs wins as he ran up the stairs like an excited kindergarten.

"Psh who allowed him to be this cute "

Though we were just stopping by at the apartment just to get his camera and drop our heavy school bags before we set off to the restaurant where I work at.

We used the public transportation to get there since we wanted to have some time to rest our legs and as soon as we arrived, I pulled Beomgyu and dragged him away from the restaurant's door before he can make his 'royal' entrance in there.

I fixed his hair so it can look more better and less messy before I poke two fingers on both corner of his lips and lifted it up so I can see him smile.

"There... Now you look good " I smiled showing my teeth and he gave me a questioning look.

"Why should I look good though? I look handsome enough "

"well you need to look good in case your soulmate passes by and you need to look good infront of my co-workers or they'll think that I just brought a kid with me "I joked and he rolled his eyes playfully as I get my hands off him and walked in the restaurant with him tailing me.

I can sense that this bamboo is still following me like a puppy even until I'm almost at the kitchen so I turned around and eyed him.

"you. Be a good bobamboo and sit "I mimicked what he used to say to me and point at him and at an unoccupied table.

He frowned and sat there anyways so I walked in the kitchen in peace without a boba following me around and put on my apron after tying my hair neatly and tucked it in a cap like other chefs so no hair would fall in the food.

I pulled the plastic gloves up to my hands and fixed it while letting my feet walk to the kitchen counter and help the others when suddenly I bumped into someone, sending me stumble backwards a bit.

"Woah Rayeon-sshi? You work here too? "a familiar voice asked as I averted my eyes to the person and immediately smile because of the positive energy the person radiates.

"Oh you work here too Taehyun-sshi? Well I should go now and help the others, maybe we'll chat a bit later when it's not too busy?" I asked and he nodded before we seperate our ways. He must be a waiter at here judging by the way he dressed in a smart way and carrying some dishes in his hands.

I greeted my boss and my other co workers too before helping them out and cook the food the customers ordered until the time came for us to finally rest and not be tense. Usually after school would be a hectic time for us as some students and some elders and even office workers nearby came by to dine in not only because of the great taste of food at here but also because of the beautiful view the restaurant holds when it's sunset as the windows are transparent mostly and the restaurant was located up on a hill where the view was quite breathtaking.

I took a peek at Beomgyu who's sitting by the window taking some pictures of the sunset with his camera as I approached him from behind after taking my cap off but not taking my apron off as I tried to be extra careful not to startle him first and ruin my back surprise until he turned around and pointed at me.

"aha! Gotchu Lion "he laughed as I scoffed and sat opposite him so I can rest for awhile.

"here drink this " Beomgyu offered, holding a tall glass of watermelon juice that looks like no one haven't drank it as he waited for me to take it from his hand.

"I swear I didn't took a sip or what. And why are you looking at it like that? You know watermelon? But this is the juice version " he spoke up as I chuckled and took it from him, drinking it fast because I am so thirsty and looking at the watermelon juice he offered made me want to finish it all in just a few minutes.

"I ordered that for you because I know you'll come back at me feeling a bit tired so yeah. Drink slowly or you'll choke, I don't want some kdrama scene happening at me "he caressed my hair like he usually do and took out his camera, aiming the lens at me.

"Yah Yah Yah, no need to take a picture of me, I looked like a mess right now "I grinned and used my palm to block the camera's view and he swatted my hand away like its some kind of a fly.

"every moment needs to be captured and I'm taking a picture of you in your apron so I can look at it back and remember that this is the person who helped me in the past to find my match and this is her during her part time job. And no, you look perfect even if you say you looked a mess. Now just finish your drink and pretend like I'm not taking a picture of you "he assured me as I let out a small sigh and did what he said. Oh wait, if he took a picture of me, that also means that he'll take a picture of the future me too.

He snapped a photo of me and as soon as the Polaroid rolled out, I rushed to the empty seat beside him to be a busy body yet he let me and just fanned the Polaroid so the picture would appear.

"wait this is at Hongdae and you're also there too?" I asked and he looked at me confused.

"Well i would be going to Seoul tomorrow as I'm in the photography club and we'll learn more about photography and attend a fashion show where Nana would be attending and observe how they took photos of models" He said in an innocent voice, pointing at himself first while explaining before pointing at me wanting an explanation.

"I'm also going there too with Taehyun because we volunteered to pack food for you all and we were chosen just now at school. we'll also go to Seoul to be one of the audience at there..." my voice trailed off and we stared at each other still confused looking at the picture of what's going to happen to me. But why hongdae street?

"here you are Rayeon-sshi. Oh hi, you're Beomgyu right? " a voice interrupted my thoughts as I turned my head to the owner of the voice who's waving a hi at Beomgyu in a cute way.

"yes and you are..."

"Taehyun. I'm Rayeon's seatmate "he made a mini introduction and Beomgyu suddenly had this expression as like he just remembered something.

"Ah! You're that guy who teachers always praised who's from the next class "he muttered and there was a moment of silence between the three of us.

"Uhh anyways we need to get back to work bam! See you later and let's go tae" I got up from the seat and gestured at taehyun to follow me and he did.

"Beomgyu sure is one weird person "

"Take care of yourself, be a lion and bite him if he does anything funny to you "Beomgyu advised and eyed taehyun who's beside me as I could hear a small scoff from him.

"Bam, we're going to meet again later at Seoul and why would I bite an angel like him, it would be more worth it if I bite a devil like you though "I teased and pulled taehyun with me so we could run away from the furious bamboo on fire by dragging taehyun from the top of his bacpack holder as we ran in to our own bus that was separated from the photography club.

My phone made a ding once i was seated on the bus beside taehyun since he wanted to accompany me even though everyone in the bus knows him including the bus driver because as I say he's a social a social butterfly. He's so friendly that he literally can even be friends with a leaf if there's no humans here if that makes sense.

Hey but I'm the real angel here but you always bite me if you have the chance so -_-||

Now you have time to watch us huh?

Angel

Yes and I brought popcorn with me so better put up a good show out there and not embarrass yourself

I turned off my phone when the bus shuts it's doors after all of the volunteers are seated well including the teachers as the bus set off it's 1 hour plus journey to our main destination which is Seoul. Not that of a long journey but sitting in the bus an hour or two could be exhausting because your butt is flat on the seat.

We arrived sooner than I expected because I was so into the conversation I had with taehyun and was starting to get to know this guy more as we talked on and on. Not only that, he also pulled this guy to jump in our conversation so I could make friends too with that guy he introduced to. He seems quiet because he was sitting by the window with his earphones on until Taehyun pulled it and pulled the poor guy along with him so we can be friends and not let any single person in the bus being left out.

Fortunately, the shy boy just now slowly started to get himself comfortable with us and talk more too so it's equal for all of us, we made a new friend today.

"So I'll just be comfortable with you two and do you mind if I call you by the nickname I gave you? " I asked and both of them didn't hesitate to agree yet i was not the only one who'll call them nicknames but also them calling me names they came up with.

"Okay I'll start first Hmmm... Yeon have you ever been to Seoul? you seemed to know a lot about Seoul than us "Taehyun asked and the boy beside him nodded, both staring at me right into my soul.

"I just... Happened to know someone from Seoul long time ago but I don't remember her name. I want to meet her and her grandfather at Seoul but I just...can't remember her name no matter what I do but one thing for sure is that I miss her and I want to meet her"I shrugged, secretly directing that person who was actually me myself.

"but do you remember her face? You seemed so desperate to meet her and I feel that "Taehyun asked worriedly and I shook my head because I don't even remember how I looked like in detail.

"But is there any particular place you used to visit with her or any of her family member and do you remember the last place you saw her?Maybe that way you'll see her " the boy said after awhile of listening to me and Taehyun talking and my expression lit up along with my mood.

"That's it,Thank you for giving me that idea Soobs! And by the way, I brought pastries with me and I really forget about it. Let's eat before we get off the bus because we probably almost reach to the place where we'll do our work at " I beamed and took out some pastries from my backpack and handed it to both Taehyun and Soobin. Surprisingly, both of them also took out some food which they planned to eat on our journey and decided to share the food together.

"What the frickity frack frog bippity big bag are you doing to me you little- A-AAAAAngel? Yes what can I do for you sir? "I stopped mid sentence and was ready to fire my words at the person who pulled me too harsh as soon as we finished our food packing for the photography club and is finally our time of freedom to roam around at Seoul. Not so fast but we also need to meet up later 7 PM at a fashion show arena because we'll also be a part of the audience then whoosh we go back home at Daegu.

"I'm going to pair you up with Beomgyu. He's on his break now and is located south from here not far away and his current status right now is pure lonely "he said in a fast way like it was played 3 times faster than how he usually talk.

"Woah woah woah, hold up but why pair up with me? Not with Nana?" I asked and he smacked my head lightly with his fist, still walking and dragging me around.

"Is your brain still working now? Girl, why would I be the one who's pairing him with her? It's your job to put them together in one frame not me dragging your client after appearing out of nowhere to his crush. I'm just dragging you to do your job and-"

"Rayeon-sshi? " A voice called my name out as both of me and the angel stopped walking and froze on our positions.

"Curse you my broken navigation, why didn't you warned me earlier that he's right behind us "The angel cursed under his breath, probably directing those words to his wrist that was showing a small hologram of a map but he immediately turned it off and made me turn our body towards Beomgyu.

"Hiiii beomgyuuu " The angel greeted and smiled showing his teeth with his right hand waving at him.

"pabo, why did you say his name when he doesn't even know you? "I whispered half yelling as low as I can with my elbow nudging the angel's side and I can hear him whimper.

"Oww! Why do we feel pain when skin to skin came in contact when it's the same material or something? I hate my human form gosh" he winced in pain and rubbed his side as I laughed nervously, looking at Beomgyu who's staring at both of us in curiosity.

"This is...Kai..."I introduced the angel at Beomgyu, but ended up losing ideas for a random name for him as I stared at a student'a name tag that just passed by us.

"Kamal.... "I continued until the angel suddenly raised up one hand but still closing his eyes in pain.

"Huening.... My name is Kai Kamal Huening. But it's Kai for short "he breathed out as I nod my head fast.

"Yea that's his name. Let's go bam and travel around Seoul while we're on our break "I rushed and linked my arm with beomgyu's and dragged him away from the angel who's giving me a thumbs up and a relieved face.

That was a close one.

I suddenly remembered about the Polaroid last time and decided that we should go to Hongdae street and see if something would really happen at there. We took a bus there and went off the bus, breathing in the fresh atmosphere before we walked a bit so we can reach there.

"any plans to ask Nana out in the future?" I asked while we walk in a slow yet relaxing pace at the hongdae street and our eyes wondering everywhere.

"I haven't thought about it because I'm not sure if I do have feelings for her but I do feel nervous and happy around her but I just...don't know "he groaned and hearing his down voice really made me want to cheer him up because I know deep down, he's really struggling to sort out his feelings and still thinking if he really has a soulmate.

"Hey cheer up and look! We should get ourselves some ice cream. Sweets helps me to wash away all my problems even though it's temporary but it really lessens my stress I had in my past life. Don't worry, it will be my treat "I exclaimed with a hand gesturing him to follow me so I could lead the way to my favourite ice cream stand I used to visit.

We got ourselves ice creams as planned and sure enough, he is now back to his cheerful yet annoying self.

"Yahh don't eat it yet! I'm going to take a picture of our ice creams first "he whined and flicked my forehead with his free hand for eating my ice cream as soon as I got it.

I gave him a deathly glare but had my hand sticking out at him anyways to hold his ice cream and mine while he took a picture of it with his one and only camera that is always seen hanging around his neck.

As soon as the Polaroid came out, he fanned it and we're not surprised that the ice cream's future would be gone cuz its going to be in our tummy soon so it's just a picture of two empty small cups of ice creams. He kept the picture in his pocket and I gave him his ice cream cup back but he didn't took it though his hands are now empty.

He stood in front of me now and crouched down a bit surprisingly so his eyes would be at the same level as mine as we locked gazes which I pretty sure made the situation...awkward to me because he's there gazing with a smile and I'm there gazing with a puzzled face.

"Feed me for my first spoon "He requested as I broke a laugh and scooped a small spoonful of ice cream before shoving it into his mouth.

"It does taste sweet. Sweet as my matchmaker "He blurted out and stood straight now with a finger taping his chin as like judging the ice cream's taste.

What you expect because I confirm you that Choi Beomgyu just made me blush for a mere second. Or maybe longer.

"What's that for " I scoffed, hiding my flustered face and walked away from him after giving him his ice cream and he was fast to caught up with my 'fast pace'.

Damn this short legs. I forgive you because you're sexy for that dear legs so always love yourself people and always compliment yourself if no one compliments you. Though my insecurities were still there with me deep down inside but I've been trying to compliment myself so I can be confident so do that too :))

I've been insecure in my whole life until now and that's my hidden weakness.

"Yoohoooo come here lion "beomgyu's voice cooed and when I turned around, he placed a cat ears headband above my head while he has a bear ears headband above his.

"Now you look like a lion and I'm a bear. Roaaarrr "he roared in a tiniest voice and made bear claws sign using his hands.

For the first time, I awed at his cute actions and took out my phone to snap a picture of him and succeeded.

"Okay look at the camera in one two... WHAT THE FISH?!" I yelled as soon as I clicked the button to capture the picture of me and Beomgyu when suddenly Beomgyu dissapeared to Nana who just called him.

I groaned and stared blankly at our ruined selfie which would be our first photo if Nana didn't show up just now and attract that bear.

I paid for the headbands and just wore the headband I have on my head as I flipped the camera, back to its normal mode and took  quick pictures of Beomgyu smiling so bright at Nana. My lips curled up a smile a bit as my fingers zoomed in to beomgyu.

I slapped my cheek when I just realized what I was doing and with a heavy sigh, I put my phone down slowly when suddenly a hand appeared in front of me holding a stick of fish cakes.

"You want fish? Here...I have fish cakes "

I lifted up my head and it was none other than Soobin with his left cheek stuffed up as he munched on his fish cake.

"are you following me?"I asked in a low voice but I guess he heard it.

"No, I was with Taehyun at here to grab some street food then we'll go to Namsan tower to relax and I happened to saw you here with a guy and yes I saw it all, don't worry I won't make fun of you. Taehyun is at the restroom at the moment so he'll probably be back before we go to Namsan tower" he tried to talk with his mouth full as I slowly took the fish cake he offered at me.

"I guess I do need this...besides its my job and I must normalize the habit of being left alone" I muttered under my breath the last words to avoid being asked what I meant.

My eagle eyes stares intensely at both Nana and Beomgyu who FOLLOWED us to Namsan tower as both of them walked together ahead infront of us having the time of their lives while I was walking like a lifeless zombie, stuck between two giants beside me.

"Wahh... The two really be looking like a good couple for some reasons. Just look at them...fit in my heart shaped hands "Soobin claimed and made a heart shaped using his fingers, directing it to them as like they're in a frame as I 'stabbed' his 'heart' with the stick from the fish cake I ate.

"Then this little devil came and stabbed their relationship. What a whole kdrama I say "Taehyun beamed as I glared at him and pointed the stick at him.

"I'm not going to ruin someone's relationship because he's not even in a relationship "I groaned as Taehyun used his long beautiful finger to push the end of the stick away from him.

"Good choice sweetheart. Be the lead character in your love story instead of the second lead. You're the Y/N in your crazy life"

Crazy life huh... It's a chaos crazy hectic life. And me being the first lead? No way because I was reborn to be the second lead and find the 'main lead's' soulmate.

"Look she left...oh wait I think he did something at her because she just kissed his cheek just now. WARNING HE'S COMING AT US " Soobin announced and panicked at his last few sentence

"Lets go lion" he said and gradually just dragged me from them but I tugged onto Taehyun's sleeve and shook my head at Beomgyu.

"No, I don't want to be with a bear right now. The lion is good already without her bamboo so shoo before I feed you to the rolling pandas in the public zoo "I hesitated but it just made him pull me more stronger than just now.

"Come with me for a second then I'll let this lion go with her friends. I'll borrow her for a minute "

But before taehyun could let my hand go from his sleeves, Beomgyu hugged me from behind and wrapped his hands around my waist without my permission and towed me away.

Surely enough people around us was giving us the looks because I was there kicking my legs on the air demanding him to stop towing me away just like that until he stopped in front of a bench with many lockets.

"Here would be our favourite spot "Beomgyu pointed at a bench as I raised an eyebrow indicating that I wanted to know why is that so.

"It's a great spot for us to lock our locks. Here, I'll lock yours and your lock would lock mine...in that way... It means that we'll lock each others heart no matter what happens even after I found my soulmate and you go back to the skies. But this lock will forever be here " he told as he took out two pink heart shaped locks and gave one to me.

I was mute but I locked mine with his at the bench he meant as he wrote both our names on it using a black marker so we can tell that its our lock.

"Beomgyu... Why are you being so nice to me? Why did you make me so confused?"

-N A R R A T O R-

"Rayeon-sshi, can you be our substitute for today because we're seriously in trouble because the model that was supposed to walk after Miss Nana can't come today due to high fever and you're the only one who seemed to fit in her dress that she was supposed to wear. Can you do us a favour because you're the only person we can find right now, it's just one dress " a staff rushed and begged at Rayeon who was about to sit at her seat as she was a part of the audience for the model show when the boy came up and constantly asked her to model.

"But I don't know how to model and I might have stage fright "she made up an excuse but deep inside her insecurities were slowly crawling up but that didn't stop the staff to pursue her more until she finally gave up.

She went backstage to the changing room and had to wear this pastel pink knee length dress that only uses two straps as she gazed at herself infront of the mirror while the hairdresser and makeup artist did their job.

Her right hand rubbed her left arm as she started to feel the chills yet she tried to hide it with a smile. Suddenly, a tall figure stood beside her, leaning a bit at the large mirror while applying a fresh layer of lipstick before she smiled at her as soon as she saw her.

"You look amazing in that dress than the original model. Good luck for the show Im Rayeon "she complimented as she waved a goodbye when she left for standby along with the other models.

Rayeon was told her makeup and simple hairdo is done as it only goes on with a natural look as a staff guided her where to stand on the line to wait for her turn.

"Wait! Rayeon-sshi!" a voice shouted from a far as it echoed through the narrow hallway before a hand touched her exposed shoulder making her turn around.

"I don't know what happened but if you're nervous... Look at me. Just look at me okay? I'll be there somewhere in the dark taking pictures with the others too. Just be natural and walk like you usually do"Beomgyu cheered and was about to ruffle her hair but decided not to since it will just ruin her hair so he just left a quick kiss on her forehead with a small goodluck before he left shortly.

Just a thank you for existing kiss... Rayeon thought but decided to shrug it off when Nana came with a necklace on her hand.

"They forgot this and asked me to give it to you. Let me put it on for you "Nana volunteered and went behind Rayeon so she can help her putting on the pearl necklace on her neck.

But that's actually not her real intention to just help her out on her necklace. She had other plans for her later on as she took out a pair of scissors from her pocket and snip a bit of her dress strap and hid the scissors back before someone saw what she did.

"Nana-sshi, you're next and Rayeon, you can stand here for stand by "a girl staff announced as Nana ran off before she went up to stage for her fashion runway.

Rayeon was expecting for Nana to take long to walk or pose because she's really sweating beads right now and a nervous wreck.

"Rayeon-sshi, you're next "the staff exclaimed as she walked up the stage and walked like how beomgyu told her to as she stopped at the front to pose like the others too.

She was about to strike the last pose when suddenly her strap snapped as she covered her chest immediately before it could completely fall and expose her chest. She could feel her heart thumping loud in her ears as the music stopped and whispers getting more loud.

A figure ran up the stage as he took off his jacket to cover up her making her let out low cries and felt embarrassed when she could hear all of the insult words that people were throwing at her.

"Turn off the lights and stop recording "Beomgyu instructed at the crew mates but they didn't listened to him as he glanced at Rayeon who's hiding her embarrassed face on his chest.

"why is she a model?"

"what kind of show is this? Comedy show? Come on"

"she's not too tall and that beautiful to be labelled as a model"

"She doesn't even have the qualification to be one so why bother be at the stage"

"not only a random girl showing up as a model but also who has closet error "

" I SAID TURN OFF ALL THE LIGHTS AND STOP TALKING SH*T ABOUT HER " Beomgyu yelled, losing his patience because the camera was now directing at them as the whole place went silent and all the lights were turned off yet there he was standing, embracing the girl in his arms trying to cover her up in the darkness.
