Chapter 6

Kaname came out of the house which belonged to Kaien Cross, after sending the young girl into his care.

"Kaname. It's been a while since I have seen you smile like that. You should do it more often. Is she someone special to you?"

Ichijou Takuma looked at his friend with a smile plastered onto his face as he continued to regard that rare smile on Kaname's face.

"Yeah. She has always been and will always be. However, she is not Her."

It has been 4 years since Sara was 'sent' out of the Kuran estate. He had been looking everywhere for her but was still unable to even get a trace of her or even a single little bit of DNA. He had been restless and fustrated and had been constantly taking more and more trips into the human world to find his cherished one. It was during this time that Rido decided to cause catastrophe. Kaname had been so exhausted that hebhad failed to notice the added numbers to the maids and butlers in the household. A few nights before, Kuran Rido came to pay them a visit and greeted them by wrecking the house and family. Not only he had lost his precious love, but also Haruka and Juri and his other beloved sister had also lost memories of her past. Of her parents. Of him.

Takuma looked into the darkness of the streets they had droven past. He smirked.

'Her', huh. I wonder how special is the spoken 'Her'. Oh Kaname, you never fail to surprise me.

"Sara! Get back here! Kiriyu Sara!

Oops, he used the full name.

"Aah! Ichiru-nii! Zero-nii got angry! Save me!"

Ichiru, who had just gotted out od his room, chuckled at the sight of his siblings chasing cats and dogs. Sara ran and hid behind Ichiru.

"I was just trying to wake Zero-nii up."

"Sara. You can wake me up but NOT AT 7 IN THE MORNING ON A FREAKING SATURDAY! AND you certainly DO NOT NEED TO POUR FREEZING WATER ON MY FRICKIN' HEAD! IT'S F**CKING WINTER YOU KNOW!"

Ichiru stood in front of Zero just before he leaps onto Sara. He shook his head.

"Zero, I know you're angry but there is no need to start cussing early in the morning. And you do know you are suppose to get up anyways. Plus, you have your adorable baby sister give you a morning call. Shouldn't you be pleased?"

Life cannot be any better for Sara. Not only she has two lovely and loving parents, but also two overly protective and charming brothers. She was now able to keep her vampiric habits hidden and under control and was now slowly to become more human. She no longer need blood to gain energy, she was able to gain energy by eating human food and from 'contacts of love' including hugs and kisses fro her family. Although Ryuu and Yuzuru had been worried that once her fangs will be fully grown she will have difficulties in keeping her thirst for blood under control, they treated and loved her as if she was their biological daughter. Sara had been grateful to them. For the first in her life, she was happy. She felt need and loved. She would do anything to protect this family.

The siblings argued and suddenly Sara turned towards the door.

"Sara. What's wrong?"

Sara then jumped onto Zero's back, making the boy's cheeks slightly pink.

"I heard a knock at the doors."

Despite becoming more like a human, Sara still had incredible powers, senses and speed.

"I'll go get that."

Ichiru opened the door and revealed a man with long black hair that reached his shoulders, and wore an eyepatch over his right eye. Somehow, this man looked familiar to Sara.

"T...Togo-sensei." The boys greeted him.

Toga? Where have I heard of or seen this name? It must be one of the books in the library but which one?

Sara stared at the man to find the man staring back at her. She instantly looked down.

"Zero. Ichiru. And...?"

Zero felt Sara pressed her forehead against his shoulders, as if to hide herself. As soon as she does, Zero became redder which caught Ichiru's attention. He smirked.

Guess my theory is correct.

Zero had been the one to look after her. He spends most of his free with Sara. He knew from the first time his sight landed on her that she was slightly different. He didn't what it was, but he had always felt butterflies in his stomach everytime he sees her. He doesn't know what was wrog with him but he knows that he wanted to protect her.

"Toga-sensei, this is Sara. Our sister." Ichiru anwsered.

"I never knew that Ryuu and Yuzuru had a daughter."

"She had just joined our family."

"Ah. Adopted."

Sara flinched slightly at the word 'adopted'. She hated it when people say the she was adopted in front of her. It makes her think of her past 'family'. It makes her wonder if she really is part of the family or not, if they actually love her.

"Hello Sara. My name is Yagari Toga. I am your brothers' teacher, training them to become spledid vampire hunters."

Vampire Hunter. Yagari Toga. I have seen his profile in the library before. No wonder he looked familiar.

Sara jumped off Zero's back and bowed.

"NIce to meet you."

Both Zero and Ichiru were surprised by Sara's actions. Normally she would not talk to anyone apart from the family. Even if it was just a greeting. She would just bow.

Toga looked at the girl in suspicion. He could feel a faint scent of vampire on her. He could also feel the power in her words, as if she was a Pureblood. He found it weird on how the strongest vampire hunters have a vampire in their house. SOon, the scent was gone. In front of him stood the small girl with wavy brown hair. Extremely beautiful to be true. Like a porcelain doll.

Must be my imagination. She could also be naturally beautiful.

Sara inspected Toga for a bit before hiding herself once again behind Zero's back.

"Toga! What are you doing here? The boys aren't suppose to leave yet i believe."

Yuzura came down followed by Ryuu. Sara ran to give them a hug. Ryuu picked Sara up at continued to walk towards Toga.

"I wanted to pay an early visit and to also hand this letter to you two."

"A new assignment?"

"Yes and shall be your last one before you retire."

"I understand. Have you met our daughter, Sara?"

"Yeah. A very beautiful young lady."

The adults trailed towards the living room as they started to talk their adult businesses. Sara began to walk away until she heard the word "Kuran".

"Yes. There was an attack at the Kuran estate a few nights ago. A few hunters has been sent to patrol around the area and there were no signs of vampires around. However, the bodies of the heads of the Kuran, Kuran Haruka and Kuran Juri were found in the house. But, the children were no where to be found."

Sara gasped. She knew she felt something happened in the estate a few nights ago but she didn't know it was something this bad.

Kana-nii. Kana-nii! What about him? Is he dead? No. I can still feel his presence. Kana-nii, I miss you.

Toga took off his hat and placed it on his lap. 

"I have also recieved a notice that a pureblood vampire girl had gone missing and was suspected to be somewhere here. Have you seen any or felt any foreign presence?"

Ryuu and Yuzuru stiffened slightly but relaxes as soon as they stiffened.

"N..no... But We'll have a look out. What is the girl's name?"

Toga felt suspicious at their reply, since they stuttered. The two world famous vampire hunters were famous for absolute confidence in almost everything, so two catch them stutter and stiffen was something rarely to be seen. Yuzuru glanced slightly upstairs. He knew something was wrong and as soon he saw the young girl in the house, he knew something was off about her. The brown almost black, long, wavy hair. The mis-matching eyes. The soft figure. The beauty that is too beautiful to be human. Only one thing that does not match the description is that she does not have the vampiric scent, powers, senses and speed. Though those can be easily hidden but she is a child so it should be difficult. 

Toga looked at the two and caught a glimpse of the wavy chocolate brown hair at the doors.

"Her name is Kuran Sara."
