"mom, you promised me you aren't going to cry. please don't." y/n held the sunflowers in her hands as she stood for what felt like the hundredth picture so far.

"i did but my baby graduated. i'm so proud of you honey." she kissed her cheek and ushered her grandma in for a photo. y/n's grandma was sobbing too.

y/n couldn't help but chuckle. graduation was just the next step to making her dream happen and with all the connections she's made, she felt like becoming an intern at a record label was going to be a breeze.

"mind if i take a photo with my girlfriend?" nanami strolled over to y/n's family with an exaggerated swagger. his family came over too, and they all greeted each other with a bow.

"is it bad to say you take my breath away in this kimono?"

"and you look great in that suit."

"too bad i'll take it off soon." nanami whispered in her ear as his hands naturally wrapped around her waist. y/n rolled her eyes as she hugged him. the last weeks leading up to graduation have been the best weeks of y/n's life. she finally felt a weight off her shoulder now that her stalker was arrested. she finally was free. with nanami completely hers now, and knowing he was safe too, there was nothing that could go wrong for her.

"i'll see you at gojo's house later?"

"you know you will." the duo parted their ways.

y/n and nanami found themselves away from the party and on gojo's roof. shoko once found how it was accessible and since invited the others to spend time talking on it. trying to get y/n to get over her fear of heights was a challenge but they managed to get on it. y/n sat in between nanami's legs as he played with a lock of her hair. she exhaled as she continued gazing at the dark night sky; only a few small sprinkles of light surrounded the moon who was shining brighter than ever. the familiar sound of give you the world by steve lacy played from the speakers downstairs.

"i love this song so much." y/n said. nanami smiled and started to sing along to the chorus. she could listen to his voice all day.

"we did it, y/n. we graduated."

"i know. we're really gonna be starting our lives soon. university, moving, it's all so crazy."

"i'm going to miss you, y/n."

"let's not do this-"

"no," y/n began to get up but nanami stopped her. he grabbed ahold of her hand and squeezed it lightly. "y/n, i know we have a whole summer to spend with each other but it will never feel enough. i could spend every waking morning with you but i want more. the thought of you leaving is going to kill me."

"kento." y/n felt her tears well up. she did a good job not trying to cry during the ceremony and dinner. she wasn't trying to cry over nanami's words. the weight behind them hurt though. the pain in knowing their time together would be short. the thought of not seeing him everyday, it was all too unreal for her.

"y/n. if you want to.." nanami trailed off. he didn't seem sure if y/n would agree to his suggestion. "would you go to malaysia with me?"

"what? are you crazy? we don't have money or permission." y/n scoffed and rubbed her forehead.

"i'll support you."

"you are going to support me?" she gasped in disbelief, she honestly thought nanami was joking with her.

nanami inched forward and clasped his arms behind y/n's back, "what? you don't think i can do it?" he rubbed his hands on her back while muttering under his breath. "i'm serious, y/n. i want to become rich and take care of you in every way that i can. i'll feed you, bathe you, dress you, tuck you in..."

y/n gulped in surprise at this serious side of nanami, was he actually considering their future together right now? he pulled away and pressed her to the concrete wall, making her flustered. "... just everything. from head to toe, a to z, i'll do it all for you. you won't even need to lift a finger."

nanami smirked, kissing y/n's neck softly, his teeth gently scraping her sensitive skin. "so, your answer?"

"i- ahem, i'll ask my parents first.." y/n said while fidgeting around with her hands. to her, it didn't seem like that bad of an idea to migrate to malaysia with nanami. it was actually a great opportunity for them to become independent as well.

"before we get off this roof, i just want to remind you that i love you. even if nothing goes as planned, i'll always give you the world. i will always be here for you and i will always be ready to get another stab wound for you." y/n laughed as she wiped away a fallen tear. she cursed nanami in her head as she lifted her head to look him in the eyes.

"i want to remind you that i love you too, more than you know. thank you for taking me out of my comfort zone. thank you for allowing me to be myself. thank you for supporting anything and everything i do even if it doesn't sound realistic. thank you for not giving up on finding me. you saved me, kento."

"then i deserve a cape or something like that. i'm basically a hero now." nanami grinned, his eyes glistening in the moonlight.

"you sure do know how to ruin an amazing moment." y/n sighed and just before she could turn her head back to its original position, nanami wrapped his strong arms around her, lifting her off the ground effortlessly. his lips brushed against hers in a passionate kiss. his tongue slid past her lips, exploring her mouth hungrily as he deepened the kiss. nanami's hands moved up to cup y/n's face, holding her firmly in place.

they both could feel each other smiling underneath. the butterflies that were there from the first kiss at the party still were there. they let go and looked back at the sky as nanami sang.

i'll give you the world

i'll give you the world now, now

THE END.
